The Nyamira Kenya Bible Conference: The Teacher’s Notes: Part Five

Time in the Presence of God Liberates Us

2Thess 2:7  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

The word for “destroy” means to make useless, idle or ineffective, the works of the Evil One.

Thorough Purity Liberates Us

John 14:30  Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Absolute binding of the enemy can only occur, when each and every part of our lives have come into conformity with the will of the Lord, and the enemy is forbidden a place or space where he can afflict us

There is no absolutely no relationship between the demonic and Jesus.

Eph 4:27  Neither give place to the devil.

Another version renders “giving place”, as the construction of an airport runway.  Any time that we disobey the Lord, we automatically build an airport runway on our bodies for demons to land.

Romans 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession(Homologia) is made unto salvation.

True confession is the verbal confession that describes accurately what is inside of us.

Rev 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The true Greek interpretation; we have overcome Satan by means of the blood of the lamb and by means of the word of our martyrdom.

Mat 12:43  When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

He travels continually throughout differing arid places “seeking a cessation of his now unpleasant circumstances” (because he has been cast out of the man), and in no way finds it (showing the necessity the demons have to have a living being).

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

I will return into my house whence I came out, and having come, finds it vacant and occupied, and in a perfected state of being swept, and cosmetically adorned.

2 Tim 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Called us with an holy calling   The holiness of the Lord is what cuts or sets us apart from the world so that God can use us for His sacred, uniquely rare, and highly specialized eternal purposes.  This is the opposite of what the world is involved at large. The common purposes entangling the masses are what God calls the profane.  My father has always told me “Jose, remember, the crowd is usually wrong.”

Ezekiel 44:23  And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

The calling of God entails first an invitation for us to become born again.  This calling however must lead us into our spiritual vocation, which is holy, cut from the world, and highly specialized in a military fashion of sorts.  If as believers we are simply content to become born again, but do not allow the Lord to separate us enough from the profane, we will not enter into the fullness of our spiritual vocation and will have missed our calling.

Exo 26:33  And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.

And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.

The American College Dictionary defines for us testimony as “ evidence in support of a fact or statement.” Therefore, within the Ark of the Covenant resides the complete and absolute evidence that supports all the facts of whom God really is.  In other words the fullness of God dwells inside.  Therefore the church’s great responsibility is to give to the world at large with preciseness, who God really is.  It must so fully declare Him that the world has all the facts that it needs, to accept God or reject Him.  In reality, the testimony of God is no different to the testimonies given by witnesses in a courtroom.  The purpose of testimonies is to give a jury with enough factual evidence that will allow it to reach a truthful verdict.

Not With Human Flesh

Heb 8:5  Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

When Moses was about to build the tabernacle for God, God cautioned him to accurately construct it in accordance to a specific pattern that He would show him.  The Lord has a particular and unique pattern of ministerial construction for every local assembly, and every corporate and personal ministry.  In our Greek scriptures the word “admonished” is defined as “divine instruction according to revelation.” This is an exhortation for us to cautiously build our ministries step by step in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes.

Rev 5:5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

The brilliancy and the glory of the original blueprint of a NT fellowship in the heavenly realm create a shadow, or an outline, to those who have been called to faithfully reproduce it here on earth. Our great responsibility is to reproduce it to the heavenly original with the greatest of earthly accuracy.

The blessings of God will fall upon this fellowship in proportion to how accurately it has been reproduced in “accordance with the pattern shown in the mount.”

Heb 8:2  A minister ( a religious minister) of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not( “in no case”  absolute negative) man.

Greek: A minister of the sanctuary and of the authentic and “built according to the blueprint of God” tabernacle of God, which the Lord fixed in place, and had absolutely nothing to do with man.  The church of God must be built upon the authenticity and genuineness of God’s pattern.

Heb 11:10  For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder(technician, architect or craftsman)and maker(the author of a work) is God.

Acts 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands

Greek: Absolutely never dwells in handmade temples

Heb 9:23  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24For Christ is not entered(absolutely never made by hands.) into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Heb 9:11  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Greek:  A greater and more perfect tabernacle, absolutely never made with hands, and not of this creation.

It cannot be of the earthly or fleshly creation.

Our hands cannot touch it.

God’s must be genuine and correct according to the heavenly plan.

It has nothing to do with man’s agendas and plans.

The Lord must be the one to author and build it.

Ministers and Money

Eph 4:14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Greek:  By the “spiritual dice playing” of men in which they work around you with the goal of implementing the methodology of error.

Beware of the “winds of doctrine” about financial prosperity that are not scriptural.

Romans 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

“Doctrines of men” activate the methods of error, and suppresses the righteousness of God.  God’s righteousness is the visible manifestation of His glorious deeds upon the earth.  If we teach, or are taught what is wrong, the activity of the Spirit of God is restricted in proportion to the error.

1Tim 6:5  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt  ( thoroughly corrupted)  minds, and destitute (defrauded) of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness (esteeming as the law or the custom of the land that material acquisition brings godliness): from such withdraw thyself.

John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

New Testament prosperity comes from two words that mean a “good road” or a  “good path”.   This implies success or accomplishing in an expeditious matter what we have set out to do.  If we want to have true success in our finances as believers, our success must start with a prosperous spiritual condition.

Matthew 6:24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Greek: You cannot be a slave to two lords… You will hate one, and love the other one unconditionally…you will embrace one; and think little of the other…Ye cannot be a slave to God and to material acquisitions.

Matthew six and twenty four is another one of those “famous” proportional scriptures.  To the extent that we embrace material gain for selfish motives is to the same extent that we will think little of, and hate the Lord.  By hating the Lord, I mean to say that we will hate what He requires from us that regard the yielding up of the material wealth that we dearly embrace. Our ability to obey the Lord, as Lord, will be restricted likewise to the extent that we are submitted to the lordship of material gain.

1 Tim 6:6  But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Greek (paraphrase & my thoughts):  What is great gain is (not selfish material acquisition but) godliness with contentment.

Contentment  – Is a most interesting word.  It is defined as the state of being so filled with the Spirit of God that the believer is self-sufficient solely in the fullness of the Spirit.  By this self-sufficiency I mean, that the Christian is totally free or independent from being swayed or trapped by the sufficiency that comes from external circumstances and worldly affairs.   His or her sole sufficiency is in the Lord and not upon external means. This type of believers are content with having little or much, because they independently self-sufficient from the world, and solely dependent and self-sufficient in the revelation of the Lord Jesus.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

I love how the Greek NT scholar Marvin Vincent translates this scripture; “ We brought nothing into this world because we can carry nothing out.”

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Greek:  And having food and covering we shall be self-sufficient in the Lord.

But they that will(to plan for and deliberately purpose to ) be rich fall into temptation( the trials of the devil and sin) and a snare (the same word used for a snare used to catch birds and beasts, unaware), and into many foolish(void of understanding)  and hurtful( injurious)  lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.( which cause men to sink into destruction and perdition)

Destruction: Destruction has to do with many types of earthly calamities, bondages, and illnesses that come to plague people as they make it their chief aim to become rich

Perdition – Perdition can also be termed as destruction, but many times it is the outcome of the destruction brought by the love of money.  Perdition can contain within it both spiritual and eternal aspects. The calamities brought by the love of money on many occasions send people to hell because the lord mammon has taken the precedence over the Lord Jesus.

Revelation 9:11  And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

The name Appollyon, which the angel of the bottomless pit, comes from the same root word for perdition.  Both are defined as “destroyer” and “destruction.” I believe that that the danger of the Christian seeking material acquisitions is self-explanatory.

for the love of money (a fond love) is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after( to stretch out after to grasp) they have erred from the faith ( to be led astray from the truth and into idolatry), and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (grief, distress and pain.)

Greek:  For “a”(not “the”) root of all types of what is injurious, destructive and harmful is the fondness of money

The TDNT reference book has the following definitions for the “erring from the faith” that comes to some Christians who have a fondness for material gain.  Secular deceiving, leading into idolatry, or offending the will of the Lord, is some of them.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

I simply love the word “flee”! Our English word for fugitive comes from this word. Several dictionary definitions such as a runaway, a person who is fleeing, or someone who takes to flight describes the fugitive.  My friends, we must be fugitives from the love of selfish material gain.

Likewise, I love the word “follow after”, which is none else than the word for persecute!

My friends, we must be fugitives from the love money and persecute instead righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness!

Righteousness:  The visible and righteous exhibitions of the works of the invisible God through our lives.  Likewise, righteousness is also the outward results of the grace or labor that the Lord performs within us. We must be “living molds” of the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, the outcome of the super human labor of the revealed Christ, and not the bondage brought through our own efforts by the works of the law.  Persecute this!

Godliness A life that is entirely pleasing to God. Persecute this!

Faith Living by “the faith of God” which is found in His rhema word, as we restrict our lives to the voice of the Spirit.  Persecute this!

Love Unconditional, sacrificial love, for our neighbor and brethren.  Persecute this!

Patience: Loving endurance with the quirks and hang-ups of others.  Persecute this!

Meekness This is the conclusive mark of the “love slave” of God!  It is the yielding up of all of our rights to the Lord.  Persecute this!

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Greek: Athletically agonize in the beautifully athletic conflict of faith.

Grasp and make for your own eternal life now on earth.

In which you have confessed a beautiful confession. (Confession is the reality of what lies inside of us as expressed outwardly through an honest mouth.  A beautiful confession can only come forth from a beautiful life.)

That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Greek   Guard, and watch over carefully, to fully do, the commandment without blemish, free from vice, and with nothing that the devil or man can take a hold of, or point an accusatory finger at.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy

Nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God,   “Nor to hope in the riches of uncertainty.”

Who giveth us richly all things to enjoy   Who supplies us richly from His own resources.

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Ready to distribute   Always ready to impart with openhanded liberality.

Willing to communicate   The TDNT defines this rare New Testament word as “belonging or appointed to     society” or “gladly giving others a share.”

“Willing to communicate” comes from the word for fellowship, which is to “have in common.”

Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Greek:  Treasuring up for themselves a beautiful foundation into the future so that they may be free in the present time to grasp and make their own eternal life.

2 Corinthians 9:6  But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Greek: “He that soweth upon a blessing shall reap upon a blessing.”

What the apostle Paul has in mind when he tells us to sow bountifully is that our sowing must be of such quality and in such quantity that it will reach to produce a real blessing upon someone else.  Such a man or woman will reap a blessing back from the Lord.  Mother Teresa said, “We must love until it hurts.”

The Word of God

I Tim 1:3  As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Doctrine that deviates from the truth because its essence, quality, and measure comes from another source, which is not founded on the words that make up the gospel.

2 Timothy 1:13  Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

(Greek: Hold fast to the model of healthy or wholesome words, which thou hast heard from me.

Many of us can remember building a model car or airplane. Once we had the model built we mounted it up high on a shelf for all to see.  We must likewise have the Word of God as one of the primary models in our lives mounted high before our eyes. This model of the gospel must be built out of something that is called sound words.

“Sound words” is a medical term that means healthy or wholesome. Sound words are healthy because they are true or are in accordance with what is factual about the Word of God.

It is impossible for us to build a model of healthy words that we can frame before our eyes to unless we know the Word of God in truth or in accordance to fact. To know the Word of God in fact implies that we must do some serious study of the Word before we can truly know it in truth.

Titus 2:7  In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

Incorruptness: Our knowledge of the Word of God must be so thorough that our teaching cannot be subject to the decay of time, error, or the opposition that comes from those that challenge our teaching.  When we live in accordance to a model of God’s incorrupt doctrine, our doctrine will finally vindicate us even if the wide world says that we are wrong. The Lord will lift us up and put those that oppose us to shame.

Incorruptness must stand the test of eternity in that an incorrupt nature cannot be subject to decay. Our knowledge and obedience to the Word of God will have an everlasting impact on our lives.  Let us look at the following scripture;

Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Inspiration: All scripture is God breathed and is therefore profitable for teaching

Reproof:  Intimate knowledge of the scriptures brings correction to us by exposing sin and blind spots in our life. If we heed to the exposure brought to us through the Word it will brings us freedom in Christ.

Correction : Correction here means to be restored to an upright state resulting in salvation.  Do you notice the order?  Reproof brings exposure of sin.  If we heed we start to become free. As we become free the Word of God then starts to restore us to an upright state

Instruction:  This talks about mentoring and discipling and the final release into our ministry. Exposure, restoration, mentoring, and call to ministry.

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Greek: The man or woman of God becomes thoroughly equipped and furnished by the Word of God for every Spirit led work; The man or woman of God is equipped and fitted with every necessary piece of equipment by the Word of God for anything that the Lord might have for him or her need to do.

When we went to battle Sadam Hussein in the Persian Gulf in great part we won because we were thoroughly equipped with the best of arms, technique, and personnel.  It is our deep knowledge of God’s Word that furnishes us with the spiritual equipment necessary to successfully carry out God’s holy missions.

1Tim2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto(INTO) the knowledge (EPIGNOSIN) of the truth.

Philemon 1:6  That the communication (fellowship) of thy faith may become effectual (ENERGES) by the acknowledging (FULL KNOWLEDGE) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus is telling us, is the truth shall free us in the exact proportion to the correct understanding and performance that we have of it. Our misunderstanding of scriptures through error, a lack of meditation or study, or because we have turned them into a “doctrine of men” will not free us.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Greek: In the beginning was the logos, and the logos was in fellowship and communion with God, and God was the logos.

With God: Not that Jesus was with God as one who was next or along Him, but as one that is with God because He lives in continual fellowship and communion with Him.

The word was God. More correctly, “God was the logos”.  Jesus, as God the Son, is first found in an eternal and continual communion with God the Father, so He can then come to mankind as the logos word, which translated and interpreted to us the conceptuality of the Father.

John 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.

This one was from all eternity is in constant communion and fellowship with God. (John repeats the theme of verse one to emphasize the complete sufficiency of Jesus to assume the role of  “God, the logos word” to humanity.

The word of God is comprised of the logos and the rhema word.  Both are essential in furnishing us with the fullness of God’s knowledge and will, both as individual believers and corporately in our churches.  The logos word defines God in general concepts and ideas to give us the “big picture” of who God is.

The rhema word is a moment-to-moment part of the logos word uttered by the voice of God’s Spirit and “tailored made” to equip us with God’s commands, guidance, and the fulfillment of our needs in accordance to our specific circumstances.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the LOGOS (word), and the LOGOS(word) was with God, and the LOGOS(word) was God.

Matthew 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every RHEMA that proceedeth( from moment to moment) out of the mouth of God.

The Cross (God’s Surgical Instrument That Make Him Visible)

1 Corinthians 1:23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

We preach Christ as being crucified: One of the gifts inside of Christ

The law of the cross is energized through obedience

2 Cor 4:10  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Gal 3:27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ( submerged into the domain, sphere, or world of Christ’s influence and sovereignty ) have put on Christ (now wear Christ, whom as clothes which totally cover us, influences and affects back through us to conform us into His image.)

John 12:49  For I have not spoken of myself ( LOCATION: (Jesus is located within, or submerged into the Father) I absolutely have not uttered anything from my independent and exclusive self); but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment (The instrumentality of the Father working back through Jesus), what I should say, and what I should speak. (So permeated Jesus the Father, as to give to Him both the utterances and expressions of speech, and the content of the speech carried by them)

John 8;28  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he ( I am) , and that I do nothing of myself (and that from my independent and exclusive self I do nothing); but as my Father hath taught me( but as the Father has instrumentally penetrated, affected, and influenced me) I speak these things (these things I utter and express prophetically, by that divine influence which has permeated me.)

Mat 10;19  But when they deliver you up, take no thought ( don’t try to figure out or speculate) how or what ye shall speak (how the expressions and utterances of prophetic speech will come out, or what their content will be): for it shall be given you in that same hour( in the very moment that you need it) what ye shall speak.(what you shall speak prophetically)

for it is not ye that speak (For it is absolutely not you expressing and uttering forth out by your own strength) , but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in (instrumental BY) you.(But the Spirit of your Father expressing Himself back through you)

1 Cor 12:3  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by(both the domain, location, and sphere, of the world of Christ and the instrumentality or influence of its working back through us) the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

2 Cor 13:3  Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me,(Location; domain, sphere) which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you (Instrumentality: The greatest display of Christ’s power and prophetical speech as He is located within us, is in His ministry through us to others.)

Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only  By a word, or by the instrumentality of a word.  The word itself healed the servant), and my servant shall be healed.

Herein we see the power of the world of the Spirit.  The Greek tells us, “speak by a logos word,” not the logos word, but “a” logos word, making it into a specific word with a content of healing, or a rhema word.

“By” a logos word” tells us that it is the word itself influencing and affecting the situation, causes the healing.  Jesus did not heal the servant.  The rhema word of God working through Jesus is the one, which healed.  Jesus’ life was so submerged in the Spirit of God, that He lived in the domain of supernatural faith found within this world.  Secondly, He lived in the world in which all is new and reconciled to God, and all is available.  The faith released through Him inside the word that He spoke, caused the word itself to heal the servant.

Hebrews 4:2  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith ( The word “mixed” is defined as the beating, melting, or tempering together of equal measures of two alloys, the rhema word and faith, to create the element termed as the power of God) in them that heard it

Matthew 8:16  When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word (By the instrumentality of the word; Jesus did not cast out the devils, but the word of God operating in Him), and healed all that were sick:

Luke 4:32  And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with (Instrumental)  power.(His word had the “instrumentality of authority”; The word itself, in the domain of the Spirit, exercises God’s jurisdiction over the works of the enemy in the same way that a state trooper exercises jurisdiction over the interstate highways.

Luke 7:7  Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word( By a word or by the instrumentality of a word. The word itself healed the servant), and my servant shall be healed.

Luke 11:20  But if I with the finger of God(By the instrumentality of the Spirit; Jesus did not cast out the devils. The rhema word originated in the Spirit and operating through Jesus, cast out the devil) cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Doing Nothing From Myself

John 7:17  If any man will do his will( If any one out of His own will desires to do God’s will) he shall know of the doctrine( Instrumental: teaching), whether it be of God, or whether I speak of ( from the edge of; the idea of separation or departure from) myself.( exclusively and independently from myself as a source and from none other.)

Jesus never did or spoke anything, which originated from Himself. Everything He did, originated from the Father, and was revealed to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.  Secondly, Jesus never did anything that was exclusively His ideas, agenda or timetable.  Everything, which he planned and carried out, was inclusive of what the Father desired.  Finally every action, which He took, and every word, which He spoke, was in dependency to the workings of the Holy Spirit within Him.  The Lord Jesus never acted independently from the Father.

This was the key to the Lord’s supernatural faith and miracle working power. The fact that while on the earth, the Lord lived dependent, inclusive, and originated everything with the Father, shows us the depth of Jesus life in the world of the Holy Spirit.

This is what Jesus means when he tells us that He does nothing from Himself.

To the degree that we do not seek ourselves as the ones from whom anything originates, and then carry it out independently and exclusively from God, will automatically live in the teaching of the Father.

He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

They that speak independently, selfishly, and exclusive, of the Spirit of God, seeks their own glory…(but they which from the world of the Spirit, allowing for the Spirit to permeate and work back through them, will be seeking the glory of God, and will speak ecstatically, prophetically, and under divine impulse, as oracles of God that will bring forth His glory.)

John 8;28  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he ( I am) , and that I do nothing of myself (and that I do nothing independently and exclusively from the Father); but as my Father hath taught me( but as the Father has instrumentally penetrated, affected, and influenced me) I speak these things (these things I utter, express, and speak prophetically, by that divine influence which has permeated me.)

John 12:49  For I have not spoken of myself ( LOCATION: (Jesus is located within, or submerged into the Father) I absolutely have not uttered anything independently and exclusively from the Father); but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment (The instrumentality of the Father working back through Jesus), what I should say, and what I should speak. (So permeated Him the Father as to give Him both the utterances and expressions of speech, and the contents of them)

John 6:28  Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God (The Father works His works back through the disciples, as He affects and influences them in proportion to how much he or she submerges into the world of the Spirit.), that ye believe on him (Greek “INTO”; location, domain, submerging into) whom he hath sent.

John 8:38  I speak  (INSTRUMENTALITY: to utter and express prophetically (not the content of the speech)) that which I (What I) have seen ( To see with a spiritual discernment which causes me to understand) with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

John 3:11  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know (We utter prophetically what we know instinctively in the Spirit in one moments time, and not as needing the acquisition of knowledge in the continuum of time), and testify ( but bear acquired knowledge as with a prophetic vision) that we have seen (only when we see with discernment and understanding); and ye receive not our witness.

Simple prophecy does not need our understanding, but an instinctive knowing in our spirits of what the Father is doing.

However, in order to bear witness, as in seeing and explaining a detailed prophetic vision (in a sequence of pictures or details), we need to see in the Spirit with discernment and not just as a simple glancing.

Hearing the voice of the Spirit allows us to administer the kingdom step by step along the “continuum in time” of what we are hearing.

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father, which hath sent me.

“Judging”, in the verse above is the administration of God’s kingdom in the Spirit.

Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion(Greek “corresponding to the word) of faith;(belonging to faith)

Prophecy is faith in one of its manifestation, this manifestation being in the “the word belonging to faith, or which is produced in the spirit as an expression of faith.

Faith, which produces a rhema word, is the FAITH OF GOD working in us.  The rhema word is a translation of God’s faith into a medium that we can discern, minister externally, and understand. When we minister the rhema word we are ministering the faith that God Himself has.

Prophecy is God’s faith in the verbal expression of His rhema word.  Therefore, prophecy is faith, and must be given by faith.

Prophecy therefore does not need our understanding, but a simple instinctive knowing of the “corresponding word” (proportion of faith), which God by His faith, or God’s faith, produced in us.

To the proportion that we hear or see the word is to the proportion that we prophesy.

The Natural versus the Spiritual Christian

As we begin tackling the issue of walking in the spirit it is vitally important that we understand that there are three types of people, and two types of believers.  There is the carnal, (sarkikos or fleshly) the natural,(psychikos; or psychological man: the man of the soul, or psyche) and the spiritual.(pneumatikos; or spiritual  man: the man of the spirit, air, or breath)  Believers are either natural or spiritual. God desires all of us to be “pneumatic Christians; discerning the breath of the Spirit of the living God.”  Unfortunately most of us function as natural people. Let us finish our study today by looking at the second chapter of first Corinthians.

1Cor 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But God hath revealed them( taking the lid off) unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth(sounds out) all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

These verses explain to us that the only way for us to know instinctively the things of God is through our spirit.  God only knows how many times, and sadly enough, have we put wheels to God’s visions and plans upon the whims of our intellect and reasoning.  Now wonder our churches are so weak!

But the natural man(psychikos) ( receiveth(to welcome with open rams) not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (to investigate, examine and determine something so as to render a decision)

15  But he that is spiritual(pneumatikos) judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

A New World System is Found in the Baptism of the Spirit

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Newness-recently made, new in kind, quality, substance and essence.  It is unused, unworn, unprecedented, novel, and unheard of. This is not talking about age.

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Newness-recently made, new in kind, quality, substance and essence.  It is unused, unworn, unprecedented, novel, and unheard of. This is not talking about age.

Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

This world system has been eternally crucified to us so that we can live in the world system of the Holy Spirit.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Newness-recently made, new in kind, quality, substance and essence.  It is unused, unworn, unprecedented, novel, and unheard of. This is not talking about age.

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

As many as march as a spiritual soldier by the rule of finding their newness of life in the world system of the Holy Spirit, shalom peace upon them, and mercy, on the Israel of God.

Titus 3: 5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Another birth, re-production, re-creation; the provision for reproduction in the world of the Holy Spirit is one that creates newness of life.

Newness-recently made, new in kind, quality, substance and essence.  It is unused, unworn, unprecedented, novel, and unheard of. This is not talking about age.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared (Perfect/ accusative) as a bride adorned(Perfect/ accusative)  for her husband.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Newness-recently made, new in kind, quality, substance and essence.  It is unused, unworn, unprecedented, novel, unheard of. This is not talking about age.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in LOCATION, INSTRUMENTALITY) Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become (PERFECT TENSE; COMPLETION WITH ETERNAL IMPACT) new.

Newness-recently made, new in kind, quality, substance and essence.  It is unused, unworn, unprecedented, novel, unheard of. This is not talking about age.

I am convinced that if any believer commits him or herself to go deep enough into the world of the Spirit. They will experience healing from any and every disease or bondage, which is not related to the natural progression of age.   The deeper we live in the world of the Spirit, the more that we will enter a life that is diametrically opposed to the life here on earth.  It is the “spiritual Garden of Eden” new in kind, substance, essence, and quality; it the very life of heaven as opposed to the conditions here on earth.

1 Cor 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Recently born, young and youthful.  Not talking about newness in essence, substance, kind or type.

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Sincerity (Greek: “Judged by the rays of the sun”) A metamorphosis into the chronologically young and youthful spiritual man that will allow for a purity that allows for the sun’s rays to shine unhindered through the new man.

Truth What is correct and precise about God

A New Man Must be Created Who Can Function in the New World System of the Spirit

The essentials of a complete metamorphosis into the new man.

Mark 9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured (absolute metamorphosis) before them.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed (METAMORPHOSIS) by the renewing (OVERHAULING) of your mind, (THE MIND AS THE “NOUS”) that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Total overhaul of the mind into a new kind of mind in essence, type, substance and kind.  An intellect and understanding adapted to the world of the Holy Spirit. The new mind will metamorphosise the new man.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed(absolute metamorphosis)  into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Eph 4: 22 That ye put off (AORIST MIDDLE TENSE- THE PROCESS OF PUTTING OFF UNTIL THE OLD MAN IS COMPLETELY PUT OFF; THE DEGREE THAT THE OLD MAN IS PUT OFF IS OUR SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITY; NOT THE LORD’S) concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Continuing corruption that is lessened or increased in proportion to the lusts produced by what is deceitful.

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; (THE MIND AS THE “NOUS”)

Overhauling of the mind in age and youthfulness.  This is not talking about a new essence, substance

And that ye put on ((AORIST MIDDLE TENSE- THE PROCESS OF PUTTING ON UNTIL THE NEW MAN IS COMPLETELY PUT ON; THE DEGREE THAT THE NEW MAN IS PUT ON IS IN PROPORTION TO OUR SPIRITUAL LABOR, NOT THE LORD’S) the new (new in kind, quality, substance and essence) man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (HOLINESS AS A MANIFESTATION OF GODLY CHARACTER PRODUCED BY THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT IS ACCURATE, PRECISE, AND GENUINE ABOUT GOD)

The overhauling of the mind in age and youthfulness will metamorphosise the new man who is new in essence, type, kind and substance.

Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off (AORIST MIDDLE TENSE- THE PROCESS OF PUTTING OFF UNTIL THE OLD MAN IS COMPLETELY PUT OFF; THE DEGREE THAT THE OLD MAN IS PUT OFF IS IN PROPORTION TO OUR SPIRITUAL LABOR, NOT THE LORD’S)) the old man with his deeds;

And have put on ((AORIST MIDDLE TENSE- THE PROCESS OF PUTTING ON UNTIL THE NEW MAN IS COMPLETELY PUT ON; THE DEGREE THAT THE NEW MAN IS PUT ON IS IN PROPORTION TO OUR SPIRITUAL LABOR, NOT THE LORD’S) the new (in age and youthfulness) man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  (THE FULL AND PRECISE AND ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE OF the recently made and new kind of, unused, unprecedented, novel, and unheard of life THAT WILL PRODUCE THE IMAGE OF CHRIST…)

The overhauling of the mind in substance, type, essence and kind will metamorphosise the new man who is new in youth and age,

Eph3: 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

To be strengthened in dominion so that the dominion will create the image of Christ in His glory within you. The proportion that we enter into the world of the Spirit is the proportion of Christ glory.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Into the freedom procured by the glory, or belonging to the glory

The Deliverance from Reasoning, and Doubts into the Belief of the Miraculous

Mat 16:7 And they reasoned (Doubt: Thoroughly trying to figure out) among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

Mark 2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning(Doubt: Thoroughly trying to figure out)  in their hearts,

Luke 5:22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye (Doubt: Thoroughly trying to figure out) in your hearts?

Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
