How To Win The 2012 American Presidency

I tuned in to the Glenn Beck radio program yesterday while driving.

Beck was discussing leadership, and how those who  lead must  do so by  example.

Beck articulated that a master only obtains credibility when he washes the feet of those whom he serves. Or the leader to the ones whom she leads.

As is customary sometimes with Beck, he will hit on something that fires me up and gets me out of my old paradigmal  box thinking.

God is s linear thinker, while people are box thinkers.

Much of the exertion in the renewing of the mind as discussed by the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:2,  is to get us out of box thinking and into God’s linear thinking.

We know that Mitt Romney is a millionaire and if elected would not need a presidential salary.

What if, Beck suggested, Romney would declare the following to the nation.

“I will not take a salary during my tenancy as president. I will make certain that my salary goes into the reduction of the national debt.”

What would Americans think? Would they love this idea?

Would this serve a breath of political fresh air to the majority of Americans?

I would think so.

Would this be a political game changer for Mitt?

I would think so.

Would this get any candidate owning  this, elected?

I would think so.

Beck then went on to discuss the salary of the average American.

$40, 000.00 was the figure he gave.

What if each member of the Congress and the Senate would commit to collect this average American salary and place the rest into the reduction of the  national debt?

This is honest leadership which will inspire Americans versus the Cronyism that we see in Washington DC.

Leaders must put their money where their mouths are.

Beck echoes what the Apostle Paul penned about principled leadership two thousand years back.

1Ti 3:2  A bishop ( episcope) then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Bishop is the Greek  compound “episcope”.

Epi, is the preposition, to be on top, above,  or upon.

Scope is the word to scope out, scrutinize, and inspect.

The bishop or for that sense, any leader, must be on top or above those whom she leads so that she can from this place scope out.

Being above others is not a crooked  power grab or the lust for control.

A moral leader is above those whom she leads in character, integrity, honesty, maturity, self-sacrifice and the willingness to serve.

From this above position she can then scope out and down, and scrutinize the problems to support and solve.

1Ti 5:17  Let the elders that rule ( proistemi ) well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

The Apostle Paul uses yet another compound in defining upright rulership or government.

Pros is the preposition to place something  before something else.

Histemi is to cause something to stand; that is to establish or fix something in place.

So ruling according to God is to go before and set up, or cause something to stand as an example, for others to perceive and follow.

A good leader goes before those who she leads, and places herself as an example to be followed.

Paul boldly says.

1Co 11:1  Be ye followers (mimetes: from where the word mimic comes) of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Be a mimic of me as I am a mimic or an imitator of Christ.

This sadly confirms the systemic and inclusive failure of American politics.

Those in power, lead not by providing  a proper example for others to follow, but by the tearing down of an opponent to be exalted. This type of leadership will eventually cause the leader and those whom he leads to trip into a ditch.

But what if, as Beck suggests, there would be a true episcope who leads by proistemi?

I am thinking about circulating my blog entry to Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, my senators and congressman and see if there are any takers.

I think that Beck’s idea is good enough to go viral.

Feel free to share this blog entry if you think that in 2012 we need elected politicians whom will lead by example and not by corruption.

I would put my money that any presidential candidate who would commit in doing what Beck recommends would win the 2012 election.

What Is The Ultimate Purpose For Tongues?

Our church’s lead pastor made a significant comment.

He explained what the name of God as Jehovah means.

God as Jehovah, is the one who not only brings things into existence, but makes Himself responsible to do so.

He is not only the architect of existence but has a strong desire to manifest these things to us.

I can’t bring anything into existence, not even a hair on my head, but God can.

Having said this, I can confidently say I am in real need of seeing things which I have prayed for years, finally come to pass.

What about you?

It seems like life is one big pot full of conglomerate  things which I believe for, and yet half of them don’t seem to ever manifest.

I’ve thought that I am waiting for God, when many times He waits for me.

Not that some things, in God’s timing,  don’t take a long time to come to pass, because they do.

Mt 23:34  Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute (diokoo) them from city to city:

Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after (diokoo) if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Php 3:14  I press (diokoo) toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

But I believe that there are things that I passively wait on the Lord for, that if I enthusiastically persecuted them by prayer, they would quickly come to pass.

Yes, there is a righteous and holy persecution of the things which God wants to give to us.

I forget that God is the sole agent of creation and existence, and as its agent, is more anxious in bringing them to pass than what I think.

He anxious to create, when I think that He wants me to wait.

I must learn to coöperate with Him in this process.

1Co 3:9  For we are laborers together with God; ye are God’s husbandry; ye are God’s building.

Though God is Almighty, many a time He will limit Himself to act in accordance to the prayers of His people.

Having said this, I believe that the greatest prayer which allows us into this creative and birthing process is praying in tongues in association with what God wants to give to us.

I am not talking about the gift of tongues that we hear in a charismatic service.

I am talking about getting down to business with The Almighty in the things that you are really desirous to get from Him.

These are private tongues between you and God.

This is the labor of prayer through tongues.

Yes, it’s labor.

Like, every good thing in life, there is a price to pay to get it, and it usually takes labor.

This type of prayer  allows us to break into that realm where our faith intersects God’s will, sticks its finger in the socket of God’s electricity, and bang, suddenly He births.

As I said, many times God is waiting on us, when we think that we wait on Him.

He waits on us to birth and to give, but we do the labor by praying in tongues.

It’s there, that it’s not us who pray but the Spirit of God intercedes according to His wish to create and to give.

Yes, praying in tongues is arduous, time-consuming, and at numerous times boring.

Yet, every time that I have done this, much of what I’ve spent months or years waiting for, in weeks and even days, I get.

I’ve heard of people who pray in tongues one hour a day and begin to get.

Before God launched  us into our journey of faith in the 90’s, I prayed in tongues for three days, hours every day.

At the end, God gave me a spectacular picture about His promise for finances and provision that has carried us through  sixteen years of family missions.

It surely beats spending months and years assiduously waiting!

If you don’t believe me, try it!

It will be one of the more challenging things you will ever do, but the thrill of finally seeing things become your realities, is so worth it!

Children revival in Uganda

Could This Be The Drought?

This letter was written on June 17, 2009.

Could this current drought in the Corn Belt be what I saw three years ago?

Many times, God’s judgments begin in the Spirit before they manifest in the physical, hence the date of 2010.

John Kilpatrick was the senior pastor of Brownsville Assemblies of God in Pensacola, Florida where the great revival of the 90’s occurred.

He had gotten a dream in 2009 of a violent earthquake hitting the San Madrid fault line in the Missouri area.

This was my response to his dream.

To John Kilpatrick:
I read your PDF dream about the earthquake in the Madrid Fault Line.
I have had a vision of judgment coming upon the USA in 2010 because of the sin of abortion. In this vision I have seen the central part of the USA, more or less where you describe the earthquake, as being damaged or bruised. I did not see a quake, but about 20 percent of the USA in a circumference type of shape was bruised or squashed in the area of Missouri and adjacent states. I have been calling it as I have shared this vision the heartland or the breadbasket of the USA. This vision of damage to this part of the country has come to me about three times.
When I read your dream today I had a subdued witness of soberness and also alarm from the Holy Spirit. I bear witness with you that you have seen something from the Lord. We are getting some type of confirming rhema words.
By the way, the Brownsville revival was a huge blessing to us in April 1997 when my family embarked on a journey of faith that still goes on today. We spent a week in Pensacola.
God bless you,
Pastor Jose Alvarez

What Is The Ultimate Purpose For Charismatic Gifts?

Both Romans 5:16 and 18, are my paraphrase, written as such, to bring out the Greek meaning.

Ro 5:16  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the charismatic gift is for the sake of many offences in order to produce the effect which causes the rightening of life.

Ro 5:18  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so the production of the effect by one which makes things right, came upon all men unto the subsequent rightening of life.

There are many varied and suitable meanings for the words, righteousness or righteous.

For sure, in all of them there is the idea of making things right.

We only have to observe  the words righteous or righteousness to note the incorporated word,” right”, within them.

God’s righteousness brings back fallen humanity, and everything which is wrong with it, and makes it once again as right, as perfect, and whole as He is.

There is an acquired righteousness which is automatically and immediately accredited to the person when she accepts Christ.

This acquired righteousness allows the Father to deal with the person in the same way that He deals with His son Jesus.

This is because the Father sees her as perfect as Jesus through the glass of the  person’s accredited righteousness.

The Christian also grows in God’s tangible or manifested righteousness which works itself from the spirit, through the soul and into the person’s body.

This righteousness will conclude after God establishes a new world, stamps out sin, and casts out Satan, in Christians having glorified and eternal bodies just like His.

The goal of manifested righteousness can be understood in the passage out of Colossians.

Col 1:22  in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight,

The dreadful price which Jesus Christ endured on the cross guarantees  that we will be as tangibly righteous, or right,  as God is Himself.

Ro 5:16  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the charismatic gift is for the sake of many offences in order to produce the effect which causes the rightening of life.

Ro 5:18  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so the production of the effect by one which makes things right came upon all men unto the subsequent rightening of life.

The two verses out of Romans five are stunning in what they declare.

Both of them engage relatively rare words which do not describe righteousness per se, but rather the “rightening” process of righteousness.

This is the path of the Spirit’s sanctification which frees a man and progressively makes all things that were wrong in his life, right again.

Righteousness is the rightening once again of the former wronging of all things.

The rightening of life is the road to manifested righteousness.

Remember one again;  God’s righteousness brings back fallen humanity, and everything which is wrong with it, and makes it once again as right, as perfect, and whole as He is.

The rightening of life is the God energized  effect, or the sanctifying process of the Holy Spirit, that brings the person back to God’s righteousness.

Read these verses carefully and get the revelation. Their treasures could have fit in Saint Thomas Aquinas’s , Summa Theologica.

Ro 5:16  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the charismatic gift is for the sake of many offences in order to produce the effect which causes the rightening of life.

Now take note of the use of charismatic gift in Romans five.

1Co 12:4  Now there are diversities of charismatic gifts but the same Spirit.

1Co 12:9  To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the charismatic gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

It’s precisely the same Greek word employed in scriptures out of Corinthians which we Pentecostals quote in our teachings of charismatic gifts.

Romans five tells us that Jesus gives us the charismatic gift so that by it,  produce a result or effect that will result in the rightening of life.

So every  time that you pray for somebody’s healing, or give them a word of prophecy, or cast a demon out, exercise your faith into obtaining the rightening of life in all that has been wrong in that person’s life through the charismatic gift.

The Bronze Skies

Lev 26:18 And if after these things you will not listen to Me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sin;

Lev 26:19 and I will break the pride of your strength, and will make your heavens as iron, and your earth as bronze;

Lev 26:20 and your strength shall be consumed in vain, and your land shall not give her produce, and the tree of the land shall not give its fruit.

Deu 28:15  Obey the LORD your God, and faithfully follow all his commands and laws that I am giving you today. If you don’t, all these curses will come to you and stay close to you:

Deu 28:22  The LORD will strike you with disease, fever, and inflammation; heat waves, drought, scorching winds, and ruined crops. They will pursue you until you die.

Deu 28:23  The sky above will look like bronze, and the ground below will be as hard as iron.

Deu 28:24  The LORD will send dust storms and sandstorms on you from the sky until you’re destroyed.

God’s ATM of Debits and Credits

Phillip 4:15  Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving ( dosis ) and receiving (lepsis), but ye only.

Dosis and lepis are uncommon New Testament words.

Dosis appears twice and lepsis once.

When reading, giving and receiving in the above verse, one immediately thinks of action, constructing these words as verbs.

However, dosis and lepsis are nouns.

It would be more precise to render the verse like this.

Phillip 4:15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning debits and credits, but ye only.

One of the characteristics of a maturing Christian life is our ability to sacrificially give to others at the expense of our own comfort.

Any time that you give to God, you incur a debit of some kind.

If its money, as in a tithe, you sustain a debit, in which you a have bit less to spend on yourself.

Bu when you incur debit for God, He takes it and processes it through the bank of heaven in which it multiplies in many fascinating and unforeseen ways.

We learn how to accrue debits to God by giving, but how many of us have acquired the secret of receiving all the credits which God wants to apply to our accounts?

Mind you, I am not only talking to you about money.

Whatever it is, if we are obedient children of God, generously debiting to God’s kingdom, we have a whole lot of credits which God wants to apply to our account.

We need to spend time with God and ask Him to reveal those credits and then by hope and faith receive and believe them until they become realities.

The debits and credits of God’s kingdom is an anointing which God wants us to function in.

Just remember that to be able to fully take advantage of all of God’s credits you must invest your resources by the process of debits to Him first.

On The Un Separation of Church and State

Videos like this make me laugh.

The video was part of the scene at yesterday’s Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers baseball game.

Once again, what we see demonstrates the utter futility which America exercises in her quest to push God out of memory,  under the pretense of the separation of church and state.

Washington DC, which has attempted this so much, has baked in 100 degree temperatures for two weeks.

How can we ever imagine that the God of the universe, who also built and owns America, will be pushed out through  little stupid laws?

Such unmitigated arrogance hounds many in our country.

May this video remind us that God is alive and well, He is very much unseparated from America, and does with it whatever He darn well pleases.

God bless!

Have a great Monday, everyone.

Where The Fairy Tale Does Not End Up Happily Ever After

The Apostle Paul was not just a spiritual giant.

I have studied Paul’s New Testament writings for 33 years to the syntax, grammar and word studies of the Greek New Testament.

Paul is one history’s greatest intellectual and literary geniuses.

If Christianity, the resurrection from the dead of the man Jesus Christ, giving humanity a hope of eternal life is a fairy tale or fiction, then we can conjecture the following.

Paul was a habitual liar bent on deceiving the world.

What would thrust a man to do such a thing?

Either, pure evilness, medically diagnosed insanity, or most probably a mixture of both.

Anyone who is on a mission to purposely deceive and by that destroy others eternal destinies is pure evil of the worse kind.

Another who deceives long enough, though not medically insane, attains to insanity, by the reprobate thinking which impregnates him through his habitual lying.

We see this disease among our politicians.

Those who are medically insane joined with chronic lying become psychopaths.

Have you seen the writings of a psychopath?

What did you find?

The lunatic pens with distortions, aberrations and flaws in content and style.

He gets away with appearing sane for a page or two, but the irregularities and peculiarities of his pen catch up to him.

By the third or fourth page, the first and second are alien to the reader, and to the lunatic himself.

He can’t find his own proverbial shoes to tie his untied shoe laces.

That’s one reason I hate to lie. I know that sooner or later its abnormality will catch up with me, and put me in a quandary where I have to explain both to God and man.

I am sadly stunned at the ignorance of politicians who are chronic liars.

Because of this reprobate feature in their thinking created through their habitual lying, they have no fear that their lies will catch up to God or man.  I promise you, to God, they will catch up, and with God there will be righteous retribution.

Or take a chronic liar.

The liar and the lunatic, bent on deceiving not just one, but the masses, generations, and nationalities, is evil.

Such evilness is displayed in angry, divisive, and hateful rhetoric peppered throughout his writings. Such were and are Marx, Stalin, Castro, Chavez; the greatest communists of our times.

Take the man Paul, on the other hand.

He wrote thirteen of the New Testament books.

I have meticulously studied his writings for thirty three years, as I said.

If Paul would have been a habitual deceiver, bent on leading the human race astray, his fabrications would have caught up with him, somewhere, somehow, some time.

This is not the case with Paul.

His writings are the peak of human spiritual comprehension into the thoughts of God, the Almighty.

Intellectually they surpass those of Shakespeare, Plato or Aristotle.

They are seamlessly penned.

I have not caught one alteration or misrepresentation in any of the thirteen books that would show that Paul was lying.

The aberrations or irregularities if any would have caught up with him sometime in the last two thousand years.  But there is none of this.

If Paul was medically insane, the same would be true. The anomaly or eccentricity of a lunatic mind would have manifest in his writings.

What I see, as undeniably wholesome writings coming out of a sound mind, are the writings of Paul.

Sounder than mine, and of any human being whom I have known or read, is his penmanship.

The third point is that of love and hate.

Any man who is determined to purposely deceive is full of hate.

The lunatic cannot truly love, because he only loves himself. It’s impossible for the insane to love another, when he is in love with himself.

Yet Paul not only teaches on selfless love but lives it out by suffering a martyr’s death.

Only the extremely sound in mind can selflessly love. The sick in mind is absorbed with self.  Such is depression and self-pity.

Though I was not in body for the death and resurrection of the man Jesus Christ, it’s impossible for the words of Paul to be fiction or fairy tale, as some say.

They say such things because it protects them from having to initiate a search into the claims of Christianity.

This is a search that will jolt them into an encounter with the Living God, whom they avoid due to deep heart wounds, from relationships with earthly parents.

The pain of what they suffered is just too great. They have either equated God with their parents, or blame God for what occurred, and or conjectured that no God could exist if such horrible things happened to them.

Atheism is a defense mechanism that denies the reality of a God who would allow such terrible pain to occur.

The atheist hides his gaping and unhealed wound in a dustbin closet of his heart, unhealed till the day he dies. It’s his decision.

If he admits that God is real, his wound must need to come out of the closet and into the light. It’s simply too scary to see the wound in the brightness of the light.

While it’s in the dark, it can’t be seen and hence not real.

So the atheist keeps the closet door shut and the wound hidden by chalking Paul’s writings to fiction and fairy tale.

But for those who are brave enough to deal with our pain and not to deny it, it is best to come to the light and let that light expose, to then heal.

Read the word of the immortal Paul out of First Corinthians.

Here, he deals with the agnostics and atheists of his day, those who accuse him of endorsing fairy tales and fiction.

1 Cor 15L12   Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

13  But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14  And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15  Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16  For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17  And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18  Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Paul’s final fiat! But now is Christ risen from the dead!

Paul has outscored in the three marks for honesty, soundness of mind, and unselfish love, in the penning of his thirteen literacy masterpieces.

Will I be one to fancifully chalk up all that Paul did and wrote to lunacy, lying, fairy tale or fiction?

Will I keep the painful spider webs of my past in the dark closet of denial, or will I bring them to the bright light that will display the scary gaping wound, to then heal it?

When we profess that what Paul wrote is fairy tale, we claim that we ourselves live in a fairy tale.

And oh my, how wonderful it is to live in a fairy tale where everything ends cheerfully bright and happily ever after.

We can live in denial on earth, and yes, live in our fairy tale.

In the grave, where the dusk of the temporal and the dawn of the eternal finally kiss, the fairy tale tragically ends.

And for many, and I say many, they will not live happily ever after!
