These are today’s devotional notes as I get ready for church
Have a great Sunday.
Remember to reach out to someone at church and not be self-focused.
My friends, ask not what your church can do for you, ask what you can do for your church.
Matt 13:24 Another parable put He forth before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blades had sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Tares which are in reality weed, look just like the wheat.
For those who are not discerning, both the wheat and the tare look just the same, but their effects are diametrically opposed.
One is edible for eating, the other poisonous.
Unless we know the intrinsic makeup of the wheat and the tare we can be deceived.
Unfortunately, this is what is occurring in America.
There is an invasion of the tare planters.
Who they are, we don’t know.
What they are planting, is yet to be found out.
There is much planting of “wheat looking tare” while America sleeps on the pillows of comfort, technology and entertainment.
If a good man questions the tare planter or planting he is labeled a conspiracy theorist by the very ones planting the tares.
Mockery and ridicule are the weapons of the tare planters to silence them who question, so that their planting can continue.
Many of their weapons begin with a “d” .
Dismiss, deny, distort, diss, and down play, are some.
There are different types of men whom sleep while the enemy plants the wheat looking tares.
A good number of these types are in the church.
I pray that good Christian men and women plant much wheat so that the country is not overtaken by the tares.
The laborers are little.
Lord, thrust out more laborers to plant wheat.
If America gets overtaken by the tares, what will good men and women then do?
Church, let’s not blow it, until it’s too late. Then we will truly regret it.
Mt 12:33 Either make the tree noble and good and his fruit noble and good, or else make the tree corrupt, rotten and morally worthless and his fruit corrupt, rotten and morally worthless ; for the tree is progressively and intimately known by his fruit.
Matt 7: 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ravening means to seize, snatch and take away by force what is rightfully yours, and that before your eyes.
The church is sorely deficient in the gift of discernment, which is the ability to recognize sheep from wolf.
The “sheep looking wolf” comes dressed with the pants of charm, shirt of good looks, the vest of likability, and the jacket of charisma.
He fools the masses every time.
Just like the tare, people don’t give a flying hoot about the wolf’s inherent makeup. They don’t care that he is arrogant, ruthless and lawless.
It’s his charm! He is so cool! I love his take on that issue! I love his kids!
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
To know is a precise, correct and penetrating knowledge which can change your way of thinking, just through that knowledge.
By the deeds which people do, not by what they say, you can correctly know what is in their hearts, and where they are planning to lead you to.
This is why I pay lots more attention to repetitive deeds which people do and not their stand on an issue.
Two years of observing repetitive deeds in somebody, gives you a spot on knowledge of who they are.
Most of today’s false prophets are not in the church but in politics and the media.
The false prophet and the antichrist will both be politicians.
Mt 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth ; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
The subject is the one who performs the action in the sentence
The subject is “everyone that asketh” and “he that seeketh”.
So the one who does not ask or seek does not constitute the subject, in the eyes of Jesus, in this teaching.
