An Open Letter to My Social Media Friends

Americans, who care about their future in this great nation need to educate themselves as to what the Federal Government is doing.

This is not a partisan or political issue.

This is an issue of your future, if you have made America the nation where you plan to settle.

Jesus said, “If you are faithful with the little, you will be faithful with the much. If you are dishonest with the little, you will be dishonest with the much.”

If the Federal government does something  that will negatively affect my conservative values, it won’t be long when it will do something that will adversely affect your liberal values.

We all get burned regardless of political affiliation.

We think that there is a conflict between conservatives and liberals, but we are wrong.

There is a battle waged against all Americans, liberal and conservatives, by the federal government.

The federal government is neither conservative nor liberal.

It’s  on a mission to permanently change the face of America, through agendas which will affect both conservatives and liberals.

The heads of Democratic Senate, and Mrs. Pelosi, the minority leader of the Congress, have urged the President to raise the debt ceiling, by invoking the 14th Amendment, circumvent  the authority of Congress, and raise the debt ceiling by himself.

This is illegal.

Listen to what a former judge, Andrew Napolitano, has to say.

“Absolutely not,” said Napolitano. “Because the Constitution itself says that only Congress can raise money, only Congress can spend money, and only Congress can borrow money. The president knows that. Every single president – from Woodrow Wilson to Barack Obama – when they want to raise money, goes to the Congress and gets permission for it.”

Next, as to the Second Amendment, the right for Americans to bear arms, and the president threatening to affect the amendment with as many as nineteen executive orders, these are the facts.

Former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese III declared in an exclusive Newsmax TV interview that President Barack Obama could easily be impeached if he bypassed Congress and enacted gun-control legislation by executive order.

“It would not be legal. It would not be constitutional,” Meese, who served under President Ronald Reagan, tells Newsmax. “And, indeed, if he tried to override the Second Amendment in any way, I believe it would be an impeachable offense.

It should be remembered that the president cannot by executive order do things that affects the public at large unless there is some congressional basis for it,” Meese tells Newsmax. “In other words, some Congressional authority he has been given.

“An executive order without specific congressional authority can only apply to those portions of the government that are under his control — in their words, the executive branch. Now there are some things he can probably do in regard to the actions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or some other governmental agency in its operations.

“But to impose burdens or regulations that affect society generally, he would have to have Congressional authorization,” he said.

A constitutional amendment cannot be altered by executive order. Period.

Many Americans fail to realize that the right to bear arms was penned by the writers of the constitution to protect them from being overtaken by a tyrannical government.

Every tyranny which has succeeded, has done so, through  disarming the nation.

If law-abiding Americans are disarmed using the pretext of a Sandy Hook, America becomes vulnerable to the overtake of a tyranny.

Finally, we are witnessing the First Amendment rights of God-fearing business owners trampled upon, by forcing them to give health care to their employees which cover abortion inducing drugs

Once again, this is not a conservative versus liberal issue.

It is not Democrats pitted against Republicans.

It’s Americans like you and me, having a cumulative battle being waged at, by the Federal Government.

We enjoy living in the greatest nation in the world because of an amazing constitution which was crafted by men and women of moral characters, hundreds of years ago.

The work of a tyrannical government is to slowly alter the constitution while the nation sleeps texting, watching reality shows, and listening to the morning news.

Most Americans who read this today, have no idea what a tyranny is. I fled from one.

If the constitutional amendments which we as a cumulative people enjoy, are seized and altered, all of us as a cumulative people will  get burned, and will come to regret our complacency and apathy.

Many blessings today.

Oh My God, I Am So Scandalized!

John 6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend ( scandalize) you?

There has never been a more scandalous historical or present figure than Jesus of Nazareth.
In America, the government, the media, the atheists, and Hollywood are not scandalized by Mohammed, Scientology, or Eastern beliefs, but are so scandalized by Jesus that they wage a daily war against Him.
Look at Mr. Jamie Foxx who never ridicules Mohammed or Ron L Hubbard.
Why is that?
He who can scandalize, is he who has great ability to impact, to provoke either positively or negatively.
What is it about Jesus of Nazareth though not seen to the visible eye, provokes more people in more ways than anybody else, seen or unseen?
Do you ever think of that?
And why is He able to pull triggers of more people in more ways, and why do people wage more wars against Him than anybody else, and why does the devil fear and persecute him more than anybody else?
Surely such a scandalous figure should raise the curiosity of at least some, if not many.

“To Be Seen and Understood And To Be Not So Very Lonely”: A Cry For Jesus Christ

This blog entry was written a few months back.

I don’t watch The Oscars or the Golden Globe Award shows.

For one, they are too political, and too filled with bad politics, if there can ever be good politics.

They are also either too scared or envious or jealous of Sarah Palin.

I say this because some at the Oscars have an obsession to imitate Sarah Palin year after year, as if they have an unmet need to be her!

Boring, or they must be bored!

This morning I perused through the media before praying, which  I no longer do, since it has lost most credibility.

Any media outlet that is obsessed with the trial of the Boston Marathon bombers, yet conceals the trial of a worse bomber, abortionist Kermit Gosnell, has no credibility left. Time to move on.

Anyways, I was seized by Jodie Foster’s words as she received the Cecil B. De Mille Award at the Golden Globes.

“But it will be my writing on the wall. Jodie Foster was here, I still am, and I want to be seen, to be understood deeply and to be not so very lonely.”

This was my un articulated prayer in early 1979.

Christ understands me more deeply than I understand myself.

If only Jodie would get that revelation.

“To be not so very lonely”

Ahh yes. I understand what it is to be so very lonely.

I was  an unmarried and  celibate Christian for nine years before my lovely wife Mary came.

But in that loneliness, Jesus Christ told me, “ Become married to Me.:

He took all my loneliness away to the point that I could have happily been single for the rest of my life.

The cure for loneliness is to be filled  with the Holy Spirit.

It looks like this is hers, as well.

Thirty four years later, I confidently affirm that Jesus Christ has impeccably answered it and even more, so much more!

He is my all in all.

My prayer is that Jodie will find what I found, for she will know that her desires will be fully satisfied, through my best friend and hers, Jesus Christ. Amen!

The Cross Before Social Issues

Ro 4:19  And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness ( necrosis) of Sara’s womb:

2Co 4:10  Always bearing about in the body the dying ( necrosis) of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

The deadness or the corpsing of the Lord Jesus. The depth of Paul’s walk was that as to himself, and his ability, he was a corpse and relied on the resurrection power of Jesus to do anything and everything for him.

So different to the Christianity of today;  so flattering, so politically correct, always making the other one feel good, before saying to the one, you must become a corpse, so that Christ can live.

Politically correct love spares the person’s reputation, his feelings, to the degree of actually sparing him from the cross.

Our wish not to discipline can be the enemy’s ploy to keep another in bondage.

We must be careful to edify and encourage, but with a view to the person embracing the cross and becoming a corpse that the life of Christ can be manifested and not so that his feelings are always protected.

Sometimes  our desire to protect the person’s feelings is a curse by denying him the painful death of the cross where only  can he truly become free.

“God manifests life in our dying, and death in our living (Alford).”

If the church is to be relevant, its relevancy must be found  in the cross of Christ and from that position, social issues can flow, but never in social issues which protect and avoid the cross. The devil adores the latter. He will give the church access to  every conceivable social issue as long as he keeps the flesh of the church alive.

The church alive in the flesh, will not overcome the ploy of the devil. Only a dead to the flesh church and alive to God, can defeat him.

A church that strives to be culturally relevant and avoids the cross will always be irrelevant. Relevancy is found in the cross where the church manifests the resurrection of Christ. The devil has no creativity. His ploy is to deceive the  church to avoid the cross. Without the cross the devil always win.

If the church is to be relevant once again, it must be the church of the cross and not social issues.

12  So then death worketh ( energizing) in us, but life in you.

There are two energies. One, is the energy which functions to cause us to die like, and with Christ. The other is the energy which causes us to live like, and with Christ. You can’t have the latter without the former. The devil wants us to avoid the former, making us believe that we can have the latter without it, but that’s impossible.

Christianity today, passionately teaches us how to avoid the energy that causes us to die with Christ. This is root of political correctness. Christian beware of this feel good ploy, it will keep you in bondage.

2 Cor 4:13  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

I realize now why the church has so much unbelief, so little faith, so much double mindedness. If the cross and the death of Christ are not embraced, where fears are put to death, fear then remains alive and well. Fear is diametrically opposite to faith.

The next wave of Bible teachers must come back to teaching the cross, which has been regrettably abandoned since the 1990’s. Prosperity teaching denied the cross. Social issues placed on the church, many times denies the cross, just the same. It’s the same ploy of the devil with a different color. Anything that denies the cross of Christ, no matter how noble, has the devil’s thumbprint all over it.

2 Cor 4:13  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14  Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

Col 2:12  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation ( energy) of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

The genuine spirit of faith is the faith of God exercised in resurrecting Christ from a corpse. This is the faith of God. If I am to work in a spirit of faith, it will be the spirit found in the resurrection power of Christ. Without death there can’t be resurrection. If I don’t embrace the cross, I will embrace fear and double mindedness, but never the spirit of faith. The devil loves it when he keeps the church focused on everything, but the cross.

On Guns and What It Means To Become a New Human

“Today, the limitations on the power and precision of the guns we can lawfully own not only violate our natural right to self-defense and our personal sovereignties; they assure that a tyrant can more easily disarm and overcome us.” Andrew Napolitano

My great concern with the attempts by our Federal government to limit guns can be summed up easily.

I am from Cuba, and fled with my family from Cuba in 1960. We were called by Castro, “despicable worms” as we left.

A year earlier, a youthful Castro came down with his soldiers from Cuba’s Sierra Maestra Mountains. He had a Bible and a rosary in his hands. His preaching was eloquent and simple. “Armas para que?” he retorted. In English this is translated as, “ what do we need weapons for?”

He disarmed Cubans who trusted his rhetoric, but kept himself armed.

The rest of a half a century is history.

Is this is what is happening in our country under the noble camouflage of a Sandy Hook?

I don’t know. I would hope not. I would like to trust the intention of Washington politics, but something in me does not. Call it Holy Spirit discernment, if you will.

Also, when the Department of Homeland Security has purchased itself two billion rounds of bullets, some of them the sniper grade hollow points, and our administration supports armed uprisings in Egypt, Libya and Syria, it’s imperative  that the right to bear arms remains alive and well in our country.

Karl Rahner, the brilliant Jesuit theologian has an interesting take on what sin is, and to paraphrase him.

Sin is man’s transcendental freedom to reject God. He also says that due to this rejection, man lives in a state of transcendental guilt, as subtle as it may be. The nature of sin according to Rahner, pits guilt as a continual hostile element in man which attacks him. Man knows in the depth of his sub conscious, that he does wrong to reject the creator. Much of what man performs on the earth are strategies to get rid of, or at least, to medicate that guilt.  But the guilt will never leave him as long as he exercises his freedom in the rejection of the creator.

Col 3:9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

The old man is the word palaion. The exegesis of the word defines it as a decrepit, 130 year old, nursing home bound man. The palaion man is humanity without Christ,  and thus has been corrupted by the sin of its rejection of God.  God calls the new humanity created by Christ and readily accessible to all, as the neos or teenage humanity, just the opposite to palaion.

Lange in his commentary, also adds the word

senility, in describing palaion. The  sad state of this old humanity is that it’s senile enough to reject, and it will reject, the availability to become a teenager once again. Have mercy God.

Col 3:10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed ( anakainos) in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Kainos- novel, and never been see.

And having put on the teen age man who is continuously being renewed or made into a novel, never been seen, out of the box, prototypical type of human…

Transformation or metamorphosis  in Christ must be continual and into something totally novel and unique, and as supernatural as Christ is.

John 1:3  All things were made ( ginomai) by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made ( ginomai).

Ginomai is the word, to become.

Something that becomes, must start from an atom of something brand new, after what was, is no longer.

There must be a definite starting point in the becoming.

The neos or the teen age man, begins to become from the germ of new life in Christ and can only effectively become, when the palaion man has totally died off or ceases to be.

God is calling the Christian to become something brand new, with a definite starting point, on a definite day, of becoming that neos creation.

A metamorphosis in Christ calls for the renewing of the mind to the point where the person sees him or herself begin to become something that he or she never were.

There must be a definite starting point where the becoming of this new creation begins.

The Christian must wake up daily and reckon this, waging the good fight of faith.

This is the spiritual combat of the free will.

This only happens, when the palaion creation is  buried and forgotten with  Christ, in Joseph of Aremathea’s grave.

I am adding Andrew Napolitano’s article on guns today. Its very good.

What Is Your Plan?

I am of the belief that the gospel of Jesus Christ, as it positively affects people, is the main key to the betterment of American society. The USA has gotten to the  sad place where posting Face Book statuses, liking stuff, tweeting, posting pretty jpegs, sharing articles, and signing petitions, does little, if nothing. I see a great challenge by the powers to be, to strip all sorts of constitutional rights from all sorts of people, and to do it quickly.  If the church remains asleep, things will be swept right from under its feet. It’s already happening.  We will end up with the unhappy song which the Rolling Stones sang, “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone.” The answer lies in that every Christian must be seeking God for a calling, a vision and get a plan to affect American society in a positive way. This is not the responsibility of the pastor but of every believer. I am of the belief that the church has many of the answers needed for the benefit of American society. It really need to wake up, and wake up now, and make the impact that it can make. The church is a sleeping giant who is not supposed to be sleeping, but it is. My question is, Christian what is your God-given plan to affect the USA with the love and power of God in the 2013?

What Is Freedom?

For many, freedom is the power to choose as they will and to do anything that they will. But for Jesuit theologian Karl Rahner freedom has to do with the actualization of human existence in its unity and totality. In other words, freedom is the conscientious choices that man make towards becoming the realized human that he was created to be in all of his unity and totality. The work of Jesus Christ was to re-open the door for human being to become the transcendental, supernatural, eternal creäture, liberated from death and corruption, and fit to the enjoy the realms of eternal glories, in company of the eternal God. This is what Rahner calls the actualization of human existence in its unity and totality. Hence any pre conceived freedom which man performs which does not take him towards the actualization of the fullness of his human existence is really not freedom but slavery.  In Christ Jesus, I believe, dwells then the true freedom of man.
