Straining Out The Unconstitutional Gnat To Swallow the Unconstitutional Camel.

Matt 23: 24  Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

The brouhaha  with the constitutionality or lack thereof of government initiated prayer or religious symbols on government property made me think.

It’s amusing that those who raise up this stink only have a constitutional problem with the things of God.

What about the unconstitutionality of government officials lying under oath?

And the unconstitutionality of scandals, or penalizing the exempt status of conservative groups, based on doctrinal differences with the government?

What about the unconstitutionality of Benghazi, or Fast and Furious?

Or  the  unconstitutionality of taking private donations to fund Obama care?

Or the unconstitutionality of news organizations being wire tapped?

Where is their voice then?

If  they are so focused on guarding the constitutionality of our Constitution, they should be the vanguard of these bigger issues. I never hear them complain about the corruption, lies, or scandal plaguing our government.

Matt 23:23  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Well said it Jesus. These folk deliberate  the conflict with prayer and omit the weightier matters which encroach  our Constitution.

The one thing that can fix the scandals and lies is changed hearts by repentance to God. Yet this is the thing that they attack as unconstitutional.

Matt 23:25  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26  Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, which the outside of them may be clean also.

These folks want the veneer of  clean separation of church and state to adorn the outside of the government cup and platter, while winking at the  extortion and excesses within them.

They  don’t care about unconstitutionality.

If they did, they would be in pandemonium with all the unconstitutionalities being perpetrated.

But no, the issue is not unconstitutionality.

It goes deeper.

There are unfortunate experiences with a church, pastor, or parent , which has caused wounds so deep that now it must be projected upon the rest of us.

It’s not their civil rights, but ours, which they try to silence.

These folks need to come to the very God whom they try to make unconstitutional.

He is the only one who can set them free.

Matt 23: 24  Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Amen to Jesus!

These people strain out the gnat of  unconstitutional government led prayer, while swallowing the unconstitutional camel of scandals, deceit and extortion.

This is not only hypocrisy, but ulterior intentions and motives with agenda, many times, political.

If you want to talk to me about the unconstitutionality of public prayer let me see you take charge of the unconstitutionality of these weightier problems.

You say that the Constitution is of great importance  to you?

Let me see it first with the matters of corruption before the matters of the One who can set us free from them.

It seems like you have things backwards, my friend.

I am sorry to say, if you are not willing to tackle the bigger constitutional issues, while attacking prayer and religious symbols, I am not very much interested in talking to you.

The Siamese Soul

Jas 1:8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Greek Paraphrase:  It’s impossible for a double souled man to firmly take a stand in all of his ways.

Jas 4:8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Greek paraphrase: Purify your hearts, you double souled people!

Yesterday, I received a significant breakthrough in my life.

Double mindedness, or as the Bible more accurately calls it, being double souled, is a huge problem in the church.

I have suffered from this disease all of my Christian life.

Remember that man is spirit, soul and body.

Our spirits must our strongest bodily part if we are to be effective for God.

The soul is made up of our mind, will and emotion.

Our spirits are the organ which house the Holy Spirit.

Our spirits pick up the testimony or evidence which the Holy Spirit gives.

But it’s the function of our souls to recognize the Spirit’s voice. This is what our mind, in submission to the voice of the Spirit does.

The mind tells our will to obey the voice of God which it has recognized, and our will pulls our bodies to obey that voice

But a double minded man is in fact functioning with two separate souls.

His mind is sometimes submitted to the voice of the Spirit and appropriately does what the Spirit tells him.

Other times his mind is submitted to his fleshly agendas and he end up functioning outside of the Spirit’s voice.

Fruit bearing and success with God comes in proportion to pin point accuracy in discerning and obeying the Spirits voice.

Every person who comes into a relationship with God comes with the disorder of double mindedness.

A lot of it comes from our inability to trust God, so we end up trusting ourselves.

Or we don’t trust God because we think that we know better than Him.

For thirty four years God has freed me from this illness.

I can say that as to my rational, and conscious thinking, being doubled souled is something that God has freed me from.

Yet, I have seen myself responding angrily to things that God tells me to do .

Why, God?

Bill Gothard was a conference speaker in the 80’s.

He said that anger is an indication of unyieled rights to God.  Boy is that correct!

Whenever we don’t want to surrender something to God, we become angry.

Ps 37:11  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Mt 5:5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Gothard went on to to say that the opposite to anger is meekness.

Meekness is not weakness.

The meek man is one who has yielded his rights to God, and by doing that He inherits the all that God has.

Surrendering the little that we have to God entrusts Him to give us everything, for He can trust that we will yield back to Him what is not of Him.  But the unyielded and angry man holds tightly on to the little box of his rights, blinded to the immensity of all that God wants to give to him which surrounds his box.

I’ve been feeling so angry recently.

I wondered why if I am free from double mindedness and have yielded my right to God, where did it come from?

When I prayed with my wife yesterday, God revealed the mystery.

Double mindedness or being two souled is not only a malady of the conscious, but of the subconscious and unconscious mind.

I realized that by the power of God I must cast off and put off all traces of being two souled in the sub and conscious mind.

Yesterday, I had to take these to the cross and the blood of Christ.

I finally hit a pure connection with the presence of Jesus in my spirit. Until then, I struggled with discerning the will of God and going with that will . Double mindedness in my sub and unconscious mind were waging battle against me, and I would be tossed to and fro

A huge battle has been won!

2Co 11:3  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity <572> that is in Christ.

2Co 1:12  For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity <572> and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Mt 6:22  The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single <573>, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Lu 11:34  The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single <573>, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Haplous and haplotes are a noun and an adjective.  These are Strong Words # 572 and # 573.

They are the opposite to being double minded.

The haplous man is one who lives in the singleness, simplicity, integrity, wholeness and soundness of one who is freed from double mindedness in his conscious, sub and unconscious mind.

He is in pure contact with the will of God and the voice of the Holy Spirit.

He has a pure connection to the God who lives within Him. He is single in his soul, rather than double.

2Co 8:2  How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality <572>.

2Co 9:11  Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness <572>, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

2Co 9:13  Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal <572> distribution unto them, and unto all men;

It’s interesting that liberality and generosity is also the word , haplous.

God is liberal and generous.

The haplous man  is liberal because He lives in “ live single wire” contact with the Spirit of God, who is ultimately generous.

He who refrains from tithing under the guise of its not in the NT, must check out if he is double souled. I suspect that his real reason for not giving is his “Siamese Soul.”

God Only Does Things According To His Terms

God primarily speaks to us by knowledge and not by understanding.

The understanding comes to us as we obey God and act out on the knowledge which Christ has given to us.

Matt 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

God utilizes spiritual knowledge to reveal the realities of the objects formerly in the visible Garden of Eden.

He has now made them invisible and caused them to dwell in heavenly places, in mysteries.

One reason why God created heavenly places and put his eternal objects, shrouded in mysteries, into these places is because of sin.

If man had not sinned, a lot more of what God has put into the invisible would have been visible. Invisibility is tool to make something inaccessible.  God made His treasures inaccessible from sinful man and keep them safe and inaccessible.

Joh 2:25  And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

God is smart. He will never do things according to man’s terms, but His.

He safely hides His treasures from us until we are ready for Him; on His terms.

When Adam sinned the earth with all its objects and places where subjected to the curse of sin.

They ceased becoming eternally functioning, flawless and incorruptible.

God immediately barred access to the Garden of Eden which had the Tree of Eternal Life in it, by placing two angels with flaming swords at its entrance.

Re 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

He also made this place with its tree invisible and inaccessible to the physical senses.

What makes sin so horrible?

The components on earth which made it eternal, flawless, and without corruption, were all marred, making them temporal and subject to fracture and death.

The components of heaven which God had made visible in the Garden of Eden, God hid them and made them invisible, to keep them safe and so that sinful man, who does not care about God, could not tamper with them in his lusts for power.

Ro 5:2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Eph 2:18  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Eph 3:12  In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him

Our walk with Christ is all about the process of re accessing, the things of God’s kingdom, now invisible, but which Christ through His work has brought back to us.

God longs to reveal this invisible object back us, but only through Christ who is the revelator.

Jose explaining to Leo that God only works according to His terms.

Mount Mary!

Here is s story of why it’s so important to live by the voice of the Holy Spirit.

I remember a specific incident when we had lived in New Mexico.

God had called us by faith to leave Miami, Florida and move to New Mexico.

We were almost penniless and I did not have a job.  My family lived in a tiny duplex between two Indian Nations, the Santo Domingo Pueblo Indians and the Cochiti Pueblo Indians. We did not have a washing machine and would take our laundry to the laundry mat at Cochiti Pueblo.

Having no money we had amassed, nineteen loads of laundry.

We lovingly called the huge mountain of laundry in the middle of the bedroom, where we had to repeatedly wear dirty clothes from, “Mount Mary,” after my wife.

From babysitting one day, my wife got $20.00.

Hurriedly we went to do our laundry in Santa Fe.

Sunday morning, we packed up our car with nineteen garbage bags of clothes and went first to our regular church service with plans to do laundry once that the service finished.

However,  in the middle of the preacher’s sermon I heard the undisputable voice of the Holy Spirit, tell me “Leave!”

My family was sitting close to the preacher, about two rows from the front.

I was shocked that God would say that.

I immediately objected to the Lord, that to have six people walk out from the preacher’s sermon would be highly embarrassing.

“Lord”, I protested, “this is the rudest thing ever!”

The rhema word of God came loud again; “leave!”

I was angry at God.

Very unwillingly, and very humiliated, my family got up and left to the lobby, heads bowed, looking down at the floor.

There, we were met by this forty  year old man who pointed to my eight year old daughter and said “come here little girl.”

You can imagine my fatherly reaction to have a grown stranger, asking my little girl to come to him.

I pointed my daughter to go this man, anyways.

As she walked towards him, he pulled out a $20.00 bill and gave it to her.

We were to find out that the nineteen loads of laundry and soap cost us 39.75!

Obedience to the Lord is far more important than all religious sacrifices, and word of prophecies.

Access All Areas

“God wants to give mankind re access in to paradise, and yet man is angry with God, because of this.”

There was an excellent jazz group 70’ and 80’a by the name of Spyro Gyra.

Their live album is called “Access All Areas”.

Spyro Gyra is still one of the best live jazz groups of all times.

The word access is a fascinating one.

Everybody wants to access something.

Google dictionary defines it as the right to approach, enter a place, and have the opportunity to use or benefit from something.

Eph 3:8  To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

9  and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;

11  according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord;

12  in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.

God is a God of mega access, who wants his children to access the things of His kingdom.

We see how verse twelve leaps up into verse eight.

We have bold access to God’s riches by the confidence which unwavering faith brings.

The trick is that God’s riches are unsearchable because they cannot be accessed through the physical senses.

God has hidden them since Adam and Eve disobeyed Him in the garden, and gave us re access when Christ came.

When the age of sin was introduced, man lost access to the things of God in the Garden of Eden. This garden was a physical representation of a portion of heaven.

I am convinced that the Garden of Eden is a representation of a reality in heaven where the Tree of Life dwells.

God’s pinnacle of creation was man and woman.

In His eternal mindset God desired to have an element of His creation that He could share His love and friendship with.

Love shares all good things with the one whom is loved.  Love that cannot be shared is not love.

Through Adam and Eve, God desired to share eternities of His glory with man.

Adam and Eve were not only created in the image of God. They were created as eternal beings in order to be able to freely access and partake with God of His eternal riches.

Every object in the Garden of Eden was flawless in its function, incorruptible in its nature, and eternal in its duration.

It’s funny that the Garden where Adam and Eve were at was called Eden. The word hedonism comes from Eden and is the doctrine that pleasure and happiness is the highest good. Eden means pleasure.  When we experience an absence of sinful bondages we live in the highest and purest form of pleasure.  This is the pleasure of God’s type of life, which is eternal in its nature, freely flowing to people. Therefore the highest pleasure available to man is the enjoyment of God through Jesus Christ. And God is always in a good mood, because pure love can only exude happiness.

The root of sin is pain and fear, which pain brings.

Sin has removed us from the Garden of Eden or Pleasure and transported us into the Garden of Pain. God wants to give us re access into the Garden of Pleasure and we are ticked off with Him, because we so identify with pain. We feel vulnerable and unworthy to be in a place of love and pleasure. So we shake our fist at Him and demand to be separated from Him so that we can continue to nurse our pain.

Gen 2:16   Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die.”

Joh 17:3  This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

God kicked out Adam and Eve because of sin, and the rest is history.

Eden represents God’s eternal mindset for created man.

Gen 2:16   Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die.”

God cannot give sinful human beings physical access to this heavenly place lest they access it in their sinful condition, corrupt its flawlessness by sin, and eat from the tree of life and become eternal sinners. What a dangerous position.

Thus God kicked Adam and Eve out from the Garden.

He also made it inaccessible by making it invisible so that corrupt men could not tamper with it for their own sinful purposes.

Can you imagine politicians having access into God’s invisible things?

Today God’s kingdom is only accessed by revelation and by those who have the Spirit of Christ.

Those who have the Spirit of Christ have re access into the eternal things of God.

One day God’s kingdom will be totally visible once that sin has been abolished and man has re access to eternal life.

The total visibility of all heavenly places will only occur in heaven.

When Christ came He gave man re access to all of these places, but only through Him and only by revelation. When He abolishes sin, access will come back through our physical senses but only in a sinless body.

The Garden of Eden is made up of pragmas.

There are different worlds which God has created. There is this visible natural world call the earth and there are the ages or worlds of God in the invisible realm.

All worlds, either visible or invisible are made up of objects of things which take up space and make up these worlds.

Just because something cannot be seen does not make it not real.

Whereas on the earth many matters, business or affairs are still in process or development, in heaven, and in the Garden of Eden everything (a pragma) is completed, pristine and in perfectly ordered fashion.

Ro 16:2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business( pragma) she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

1Co 6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter ( pragma) against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

The scriptures show that pragmas are both a tangible object and a business affair.

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things ( pragma), can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things (pragma) not seen.

In the  two above scriptures the writer states that quite unlike the laws of Moses the very image of the things in the eternal ages which come continually upon the earth are pragmas or completed matters.

This is why there is no sickness in heaven.

God wants to give us access into all areas.

The Secret Society

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us

All of God’s fullness is permanently resident within Christ, and Christ resides within His saints.

So the fullness of what God has and what God wants to do is given to the church.

The church is the society which makes the invisible God, visible.

She is the most powerful human entity on planet earth, if she functions as God intends her to be.

The church is a secret society, for it manifests the invisible riches of God which dwell in mysteries, or secrets.

Spiritual gifts are used to take portions of God’s invisible riches dwelling in secrets, and energize them through the church in a visible form called glory, into the world.

The tools which the church uses to do this are spiritual gifts. This is why spiritual gifts cannot be prohibited.

The churches job is to make the invisible God visible, no more, and no less!

Ephesians 1:23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

The action of God’s fullness is to fill every part of every believer with His secret riches and then to fill every aspect of the world with His glory, utilizing the church, as she displays God’s secret riches visibly back into the world now as glory.

Eph 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The invisible and secret mysteries of Christ are made known through revelation.

Our physical senses cannot access them.

This is why having a spirit of wisdom and revelation, for the saint, is the most important thing.

Without revelation, the mysteries of God dwelling in secret, will remain as secrets.

Revelation comes by the voice of the Holy Spirit.

This is why the saint must learn how to tune in into the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

God desires to reveal His mysteries to the world, but only has the church to do so.

She is the secret society.

Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

A dispensation is defined as the administration or the management of a house or property.

It is God’s management or administration in  the fullness of times, to sum up all things into and for Himself.

God uses His church, to make manifest, progressively known, and effectively working the ongoing activity and consummation of this part of His administration.  She is the secret society.

For this purpose the church has received the fullness of God, His secret riches.

The church is used to  sum up all things in the world back to God. She is the secret society.

God uses His church, to make manifest, progressively known, and effectively working within this world and the universe the ongoing activity and consummation of this part of His administration.

Ephesians 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

The saints therefore are the element in which God’s fullness is deposited, energized and made known as riches in the mode of glory.

The hope of the calling is the call and invitation of God which is received with total obedience.

When the call is received with obedience and ministry is accomplished in oneness and identicalness to the Spirit, it becomes an effectual call, or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective,  and to carry out what it is supposed to do through us.

The hope of our calling becomes a reality through each saint’s obedient response to the call of God.

The hope of our calling is based then upon an effectual call; or to those to whom God’s call has come with effect.  It is the call of God to a believer or church that has been answered by a totally obedient response.

When the call is received with obedience, it becomes an effectual call or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective, operational and carry out the manifestations of the invisible mysteries of God in the visible form of glory.

Are you fulfilling this?

Eph 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Praise to God is extracted by this revealed glory in the sphere of the church

She is the secret society.

If There Is No Speed Sign Did I Break The Law?

Rom 7:1  Brethren, do you not know—for I am writing to people acquainted with the Law—that it is during our lifetime that we are subject to the Law?

Paul begins his discussion on the “Law of Moses” by comparing it to a marriage of two people.

In the New Testament, the Law is symbolic of our attempts to please God, or serve Him, outside of the direct voice of the Holy Spirit.

Thus we come to serve the Lord through our own efforts, agendas, and strength.  This is The Law.

The Law of Moses was comprised of 643 laws.

God knew that it was impossible for the Jews to keep them. Yet, look at what God tells us about keeping His laws. If we break one of His laws, we have broken them all.

Do you think that God expected us to follow these laws perfectly? Of course not.

God has another way.

Lev 19:37  Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.

James 2:10  For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

In the voice of the Holy Spirit however, resides the law of faith, which enables us to believe and act upon the given promises of God through His voice to bring them into existence. This is the true meaning of grace.

Grace, is the supernatural power of God for us to obey Him, rather than a license for us to do as we feel.

Ro 3:27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

In the voice of God resides the rhema or living Word of God.

Heb 12:19  And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of rhemas which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

Every rhema word, or every utterance of the voice of the Spirit, has resident and active within it the law of faith to make the specific rhema word come to pass.

Ro 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the rhema of God.

Rom 10:6  But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

7  Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8  But what saith it? The rhema is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the rhema of faith, which we preach;

The rhema word reveals Christ.

Joh 17:8  For I have given unto them the rhemas which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

In the person of Christ resides grace.  Grace is what sets us free from the bondage of sin. Grace is the superhuman labor of God revealed to us in proportion to how much we obey God. Grace is more abundantly given so that we can obey God to a greater measure.

Rom 6:14  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 7: 2  A wife, for instance, whose husband is living is bound to him by the Law; but if her husband dies the law that bound her to him has now no hold over her.

Paul compares the law to a marriage between a man and a woman.

Paul tells us that a wife is bound to the law of a marriage between her and her spouse.  he law of marriage constrains both partners to remain with each other “till death do them part.”

Another bounding agreement of this marriage law is that it affords no provision for marital infidelity in between these two people.

However if the husband dies, the wife then becomes free from the marriage law and can re-marry again.

3  This accounts for the fact that if during her husband’s life she lives with another man, she will be stigmatized as an adulteress; but that if her husband is dead she is no longer under the old prohibition, and even though she marries again, she is not an adulteress.

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Verse four is of supreme importance to the victorious Christian life.  Let us look at it carefully.

Ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ;

Through the death of Christ we have become dead to “the Law.”

As the wife became released from the law of marriage at the death of her husband, so we became released from “The Law” at the death of Christ.  This means that we are released from serving the Lord by our own strength, out of condemnation, guilt, performance, our own agendas and programs, into a simple walk of attaining to all the promises and blessings of God through the voice of the Holy Spirit.

4  that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead.

Here lies the beauty of walking simply by the voice of the Spirit of God.  Now that we have been released from serving God through “The Law” by the death of Christ, we are free to re- marry.  Our remarriage is to no one else than Christ Himself.

In this remarriage, we are espoused even to him who is raised from the dead.

Christ now abiding in the power of resurrection life cannot be touched by sin or bondage of any kind.  Our remarriage now to Christ means that we no longer serve God out of our strength, performance, or agendas.  We now live our Christian lives simply out of the voice of the Spirit in the power of Christ’s resurrection life.  This is the only way to bear lasting fruit unto the Lord.

That we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Is it any mystery that our lives and our churches are so powerless and caught in the web of dead programs and the yield of little fruit?

We continue to serve God under The Law, and our own agendas, though in fact we have been released from it.  Why do we still live in this deception?  It is because we have not allowed the Lord to take us through Romans Six.

5  For whilst we were under the thraldom of our earthly natures, sinful passions— made sinful by the Law—were always being aroused to action in our bodily faculties that they might yield fruit to death.

God’s purpose for giving us the more than 600 laws under Moses, (as I said called “The Law”), had nothing to do with us ever keeping them!  This includes the Ten Commandments!

Are the Ten Commandments then bad, or is the Law of Moses wrong, and they should not be followed?  ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

All the laws of God are good!  The answer lies in that were never supposed to obey The Law through our own strength!  The Law was given by God to point out to us and expose our sinfulness!

Therefore the more that we try to obey God in our own strength, the more that we will end up sinning.  The answer to our deliverance is found in the following scriptures.

Ro 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Ro 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Both of these scriptures are similar to each other.  What is noteworthy about these scriptures is that The Law is good and that God expects it to be followed and fulfilled perfectly.  However its fulfillment cannot and will not occur through our own efforts.

As we die to self through the operation of the cross of Christ, the person of Christ is revealed in us.  As the person of Christ is revealed within us, the voice of the Spirit becomes more defined and clearer within us.  It is the presence of the revealed Person of Christ who is the end of the law.  The fulfillment of the law comes to those who walk in the Spirit after the Voice of the Lord.

The resurrection life of the Lord found in the revealed Person of Christ, is what purifies us and makes us holy so that we end up naturally birthing and fulfilling the Law within us without our trying, but through our dying!

Our only responsibility is to obey the voice of God as perfectly as we can.  The Law will become naturally fulfilled in us through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in the completed work of Jesus Christ.

Our lives will become an example of the accomplished law of God in the beauty of the presence of the revealed Person of Christ. Or the fulfillment of the law, is the fully revealed Person of Christ.

·Can you see now why our churches and our Christian lives lie in such shambles?

It is because we refuse to die with Christ on the cross so that the person of Christ may be revealed.  We continue to operate by the Law in our efforts, plans, committees, and agendas.  Little do we know that living and operating in this realm will only birth and activate more sin, more powerlessness, more frustration more dead programs, and much sowing and little reaping. We fulfill the law of God, not in perspiration, but in revelation.

Once again to reiterate; the purpose of the Law is to expose our sinfulness to us.

Ro 7:8  But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

Without “The Law” we would never know our sinfulness and or be responsible for it.

The Speeding Ticket

Let us assume that you are speeding down an expressway through a country that you have never visited before.  In your worry to obey the speeding laws, you habitually look at the sides of the highway trying to spot the speed signs.  To your dismay however, nothing appears that will help you.  Suddenly from your rear emerge the ominous flashing red and blue lights of the summoning you to pull over for speeding.  You calmly protest to the officer that there were absolutely no speed signs visible to let you know what the speed ought to be.  The police officer sees your point, kindly admonishes you with the needed information, and lets you go without a citation.  With the absence of these signs, you had no concept of what the speed limit was, and were not held responsible to obey it, even though you had just finished breaking the law!

Ro 7:6  But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

The Law has now no hold over us, so that we render a service which, instead of being old and formal, is new and spiritual.

Our Christian lives should now work solely out of the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Our marriage to The Law has now once and for all been terminated.  Yet most believers continue to live and die in this fantasy marriage!

7   What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. For instance, I should not have known what covetousness is, if the Law had not repeatedly said, “Thou shalt not covet.”

This is exactly what we discussed in verse five!  The purpose of the law is to expose, describe, and define sin in its utter sinfulness!

8  Sin took advantage of this, and by means of the Commandment stirred up within me every kind of coveting; for apart from Law sin would be dead.

As with the story of the speeding ticket; without speeding signs visible on an interstate highway, we are not responsible for breaking the speeding law, simply out of sheer ignorance.

In other words, without the visibility of these signs, our responsibility to keep the proper speed is dead or non-existent.

Without “The Law” likewise, we would never know sin, or what types of sins in the eyes of God.

God could no convict us of sin, because we were ignorant to the fact that we had sin or were even sinning!

9  Once, apart from Law, I was alive, but when the Commandment came, sin sprang into life, and I died;

Without The Law the knowledge of sin was non-existent.   This made sin not to be apparent, so it was not sin!  People could sin all that they wanted to!  When The Law came, sin was suddenly exposed and became alive because we were made aware of it.  At that moment were found guilty of being sinners and by all intent and purposes died!

10  and, as it turned out, the very Commandment which was to bring me life, brought me death.

So The Law, as good as it is, brings death to us by exposing our sinfulness.

Once again; if we try to obey God in our own strength, without having our plans and visions initiated by the voice of the Spirit, our plans will yield either more sinfulness or bear little fruit. For obeying God by our own efforts cause us to fail and exposes even more of our sin.

11  For sin seized the advantage, and by means of the Commandment it completely deceived me, and also put me to death.

The exposure of sin by the knowledge of the Law puts us to continual death.

12  So that the Law itself is holy, and the Commandment is holy, just and good.

As we earlier stated, The Law is absolutely good!

13  Did then a thing which is good become death to me? No, indeed, but sin did; so that through its bringing about death by means of what was good, it might be seen in its true light as sin, in order that by means of the Commandment the unspeakable sinfulness of sin might be plainly shown.

The Law was given to make “sin exceedingly sinful.”

14  For we know that the Law is a spiritual thing; but I am unspiritual—the slave, bought and sold, of sin.

15  For what I do, I do not recognize as my own action. What I desire to do is not what I do, but what I am averse to is what I do.

These verses are so crucial to us!  As long as we as believers attempt to continue to serve God by The Law, without the leading of the Holy Spirit we will continue to do what we do not want to do.  The reason is that the law of sin and death in the bodily members of every human being is activated every time that we obey God outside of the leading of the Holy Spirit!

In the Christian, the law of sin and death lies dormant in the human body parts.

The Christian has been set free from the sinful nature, but not the law of sin and death. We are dead to sin, but sin is not dead to us.

Do you remember? The Law revives sin in us!  Therefore the activated law of sin and death which is dormant in the Christian, but activated when we try to please God outside the voice of the Holy Spirit causes us to fail every time that we attempt to serve God, overcome sin, or promote the agendas of our churches through our own means.

God allows us to be in this very, very painful catch 22 situation until we come to realize that only in the revealed presence of the Person of Christ, through our death to self, by the operation of the cross, are we set free from the law of sin and death, and it remains inactive in us.

Within the revealed person of Christ resides the law of the Spirit of life.  As you can see, it is not about us doing, but about us becoming!  It is not about us living, but about us dying. It’s not about perspiration but about revelation.

Ro 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

16  But if I do that which I do not desire to do, I admit the excellence of the Law,

17  and now it is no longer I that do these things, but the sin which has its home within me does them.

Once again the law of sin and death will be activated, and will remain in activity within us as believers, if we do not learn to walk in the Spirit by the death of our self-life, through the operation of the cross of Christ.  We will never attain to a total victory over sin and deliverance from the oppression of the devil.  Our victory lies in the revealed Person of Christ within us.

18  For I know that in me, that is, in my lower self, nothing good has its home; for while the will to do right is present with me, the power to carry it out is not.

19  For what I do is not the good thing that I desire to do; but the evil thing that I desire not to do, is what I constantly do.

20  But if I do that which I desire not to do, it can no longer be said that it is I who do it, but the sin which has its home within me does it.

21  I find therefore the law of my nature to be that when I desire to do what is right, evil is lying in ambush for me.

22  For in my inmost self all my sympathy is with the Law of God;

23  but I discover within me a different Law at war with the Law of my understanding, and leading me captive to the Law which is everywhere at work in my body—the Law of sin.

24  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? {the body…: or, this body of death}

25  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Our final deliverance comes through the absolute death of the self-life as discussed in our study of Romans six and the full revelation of the Person of Christ Jesus in us.

I want to leave you with the true meaning of the body of this death found in verse 24.  Paul chose this expression and shows his understanding of the diseased self-life that must be put to total death so that we stop doing the things that we do not want to.  God Bless you!

In verse twenty-four Paul gives a perfect description of the self-life.  He calls it the body of this death.  In the days of Paul one of the most horrible types of punishments inflicted on criminals was the following.  A corpse was bound and tied to the body of the condemned fellow.  The villain was forced to live out his existence as to his time of punishment with this corpse rotting, and decaying, bound, and on top of him.

24  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? {the body…: or, this body of death}

This is called “the body of this death” and describes the depths and utter sickness of our sinful self-life, which keeps us in bondage at every point

The Importance of the Conscience

I Tim 1:5  Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Watchman Nee tells us that the conscience is a component of or a barometer of the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 2:15  Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;

Their consciences also bearing witness with their hearts and between one another (in their conscience);  their collective thoughts constantly accusing or defending. (Seems like the operation of the voice of the Holy Spirit!)

We must notice that this function of the conscience has been given to everybody on planet earth regardless of belief. Whoever denies the existence of God, denies himself, for God speaks to everybody in their conscience.

Romans 9:1  I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

My conscience bears witness to me in the realm or world that belongs to the Holy Spirit. (My conscience operates within the world that belongs to the Holy Spirit.)

Therefore, a pure conscience is one guide to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

1Ti 4:2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron (Kauteriazo)

Cauterize: Burn, sear, or freeze (tissue) using a hot iron or electric current or a caustic agent; The Free on Line Dictionary.

We see today many with a cauterized conscience.

A pure conscience is a guide to the voice of God, for everybody, regardless of religion of belief.  Our conscience shows us that God exists, for He speaks to every human being what is right, or wrong.

There is no excuse by anybody to say that God does not exist for He speaks to great and small, of every country, and every faith, in their conscience.

When a person habitually rejects God, he hardens his heart and cauterizes his conscience, so that by hardening and cauterizing the person loses the guiding sense of the voice of God.

The person become blinder than a bat and go into self-destruction.

We see this in politics, where people have betrayed what is morally right to push an agenda and have become both hardened and cauterized.

This is why spending time with God and maintaining a cutting edge freshness of God’s voice in the heart and conscience is essential.

2 Corinthians 1:12  For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity (haplotes) and godly sincerity (heilikrineia), not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Haplotes: Is soundness, wholeness, integrity, singleness of mind and simplicity, in the sense of avoiding all distractions to focus singly and simply upon God.

Heilikrineia: Comes from the word helios, which is the sun. Krineo , is to judge.

Thus, to judge by the rays of the sun. If the window pane of your conscience is clean and pure the sun will shine through it. If you have betrayed your conscience it is likewise judged by the sun as a filthy window pane.  You are your own judge, of how much you have betrayed your conscience.

2 Timothy 1:3  I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

I thank God whom I render religious service, in a world that belongs to a pure conscience. Are you offering your service to God in world that belongs to a pure conscience?

There goes the cheap grace message out the window, that because God loves us and will save everybody, we can live as we want. Nonsense! For those who profess to follow Jesus, God’s requirement is a pure conscience.

The ABC’s of the Voice of The Holy Spirit

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Greek: In the beginning was the logos, and the logos was in fellowship and communion with God, and God was the logos.

The word of God is comprised of the logos and the rhema word.

Both are essential in providing us with the fullness of God’s knowledge and will

.  The logos word defines God in general concepts and ideas to give us the “big picture” of who God is.  It is generally called the written word.

The rhema word is a moment-to-moment portion of the logos word uttered by the voice of God’s Spirit and is “tailor made” to equip us with God’s commands, guidance, and the fulfillment of our needs in accordance to a specific circumstance.  It is the voice of the Holy Spirit.

With God: Not that Jesus was with God as one who was next to Him, but as one that is with God because He lives in continual fellowship and communion with Him. What a lesson for us to live in unbroken fellowship with the Father.

The word was God. More correctly, “God was the logos”.

Jesus, as God the Son, is first found in an eternal and continual communion with God the Father, so He can then come to mankind as the logos word, which translates and interpretes to us the conceptuality of the Father.

John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

This one was from all eternity in a constant communion and fellowship with God.

(John repeats the theme of verse one to emphasize the complete sufficiency of Jesus to assume the role of “God, the Logos word” to humanity.

Hebrews 1:3  Who being the brightness ( aupagasma) of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power ( the rhema words put out by His dunamis power), when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Who being the perfect reflection of God’s glory (Jesus is), and the perfect expression of the character and integrity of God’s substance, He also bears all things by the rhema word, or the voice of the Holy Spirit,  which when He speaks, releases His acts of dunamis power, through which acts, He bears all, in the universe.

Brightness or aupagasma is a luminous light source, such as a light bulb. Jesus Christ is the light bulb to make the invisible God to become visible. He is not simply a reflection, but the very light source of the outshining of the invisible God.

Hebrews 11:3  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word  ( rhema word)of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Through faith we understand that the worlds and periods of times that span eternity are made, furnished and equipped, framed, and then hung (as completed paintings along the walls of God’s eternal plans) through God’s  rhema word, or the voice of the Spirit,  so that what we see today was made out of things which are invisible to the naked eye.

What power the voice of the Holy Spirit in us has.

We need a revelation of what dwells within us.

Heb 2:4  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

God adding His evidence (to that of those that were ministering for Him) both by signs and wonders, and different types of displays of His dunamis power, and distributions of His Holy Spirit in accordance to His will.

Romans 15:19  Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel ( I have filled the glad tidings) of Christ.

A witness, or the bearer of testimony in the court of law, produces sufficient evidence for a jury to reach an adequate verdict of innocence or guilt.  The ministries of all believers should function to produce enough witness of the life of Jesus so that the jury of the world can accept or reject Him.

The “bulk of judicial testimony for Christ’s acceptance or rejection” can only come through a combinatory evidence of the Word of God, the signs of wonders produced by miracles, and the gifts of the Holy Spirits, such as prophecy, and physical healing (really the gifts of instantaneous cures), all done in love.

I Sam 9: 18  Septuagint  And Saul {1} drew near to Samuel into the midst of the city, and said, Tell me now {2} which is the house of the seer? (Which is the house of the glancing one?)

The seer, in the Greek OT is “The Bleponto”, or “The Glancing One”.

This tells us that to prophesy, we simply need to glance in the Spirit, as to what God is doing, and speak. We don’t have to understand, simply glance, and speak. This goes the same for all spiritual gifts

Mark 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have  faith in (Have the “God kind” of faith, or the faith OF GOD!) God.

God is in the genitive Greek case signifying possession;

Therefore it is “God possessing something”; in this case, “God’s possession of faith”

Gal 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith, of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The life which I now live in the flesh, I live in faith, this being the faith which dwells in the Son of God. (Genitive Greek case signifying possession)

Now that we understand that we are commanded to have the faith of the Son of God, or that we must live in dependency to the faith, which the Lord owns, we need to define what is the faith OF CHRIST?

The faith OF CHRIST is His rhema word, or the voice of the Holy Spirit. This is a crucial point!

God’s rhema word is a specific word, which the Holy Spirit speaks into our hearts when He wants to minister His purposes to us into a specific circumstance.

Romans 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Rhema word of God.

So then faith gets its life from hearing, but the type of hearing, which describes faith, must be exclusively one which comes through the rhema word of God, or His voice. God speaks 24/ 7.

If you can’t hear Him, you are not tuned to the frequency of His voice.

You must all that is necessary to be able to hear this still small voice, for God’s faith is in His voice.

Romans 10:8  But what saith it? The rhema word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the rhema word of faith, which we preach;

Every rhema word represents an itemized description of God’s measure of faith, as He has tailored it for every situation in which He speaks the rhema word into.

It is an account of what the Lord can carry out within a particular circumstance.

Luke 1:37  For with God nothing( Rhema word) shall be impossible.

The English is a poor translation:  Greek: For with God every rhema word has the (indwelling) dunamis power to come to pass.

Secondly, the rhema word not only carries with it God’s measure of faith, but also God’s measure of dunamis power adapted for, and greater than the circumstance into which God speaks it into, assuring God a complete victory.

Thirdly, every rhema word reveals the Person of Christ.  As Christ is revealed, the faith and power that He possesses, is manifested alongside with Him.

Romans 10:6  But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

7  Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8  But what saith it? The rhema Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the rhema word of faith, which we preach;

Verse six and seven of Romans ten tells us that we are not forced to take extraordinary measures to bring the Lord down from heaven or to bring up from the dead.  In other words, we do not have to travel far and wide to find the Lord.

As we go on to verse eight we  find that the apostle Paul has switched gears from the Lord Jesus and is now talking about the rhema word.

He says that Christ is not far from us, because the rhema word is near to us; even in our mouth and in our heart.  Therefore the rhema word, or the voice of God’s Spirit, is the revelation of the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, or is what brings the Lord Jesus to us as we walk in the Spirit.

John 17: 8  For I have given unto them the words ( rhema words) which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

In verse eight of John chapter seventeen, likewise, we see that the rhema word reveals the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Learning to Live By the Rhema Word

How then, do we learn to walk in the Spirit and live our lives by God’s measure of faith?

The first step is to learn how to hear and discern the rhema word, which is the voice of God.

We must realize that the Lord Jesus in a non-stop fashion lives His life in us, as He dwells within us.

John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words ( rhema words) that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Every work, which the Lord executes, is translated to us in our spirit as a rhema word.  It is the rhema word, which shows us, what the Lord does within us.

A rhema word equals a deed or a work of God.

We can go on to say that the more effective and discerning we are to live by the rhema word, the more that we will be in tune with that the Lord in us and what he desires to do.

This futuristic aspect of the Lord’s rhema word is prophecy.

John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 5:19  Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

In John five nineteen and twenty Jesus teaches us the secret of Christian life and ministry!

20  For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

Jesus only does what He sees the Father do.  The seeing obviously is not physical, but spiritual. In fact, Jesus greatest responsibility is to continuously discern what the Father does in Him as His works become manifested to Him by the rhema word.

Herein lies ministry in the power of signs and wonders.  It is our constant discernment of the works of Jesus within us, and our faithful execution of His rhema words without to the world around us, that brings forth the power of God into this world.

When we accurately hear and minister a rhema word to a certain person, it will have both the dunamis power, and the faith of God, to carry out what the Lord has intended for that person.

If the Lord working within us by a rhema word tells us to rebuke a cold and we do so, His word, full of His faith and power will heal the Person.  This is how we operate by the faith of God.

However, if we were supposed to rebuke the enemy who was causing the cold, and we rebuked the cold instead, because we have ministered to the person out of our feelings and rational understanding, and not by the rhema word, the person does not have to be healed.

This is one reason the church sees far less healings and deliverances than what it is ought to.

The rhema word is ALWAYS extremely specific.

Success in ministry therefore lies in our ministering as narrowly as possible in accordance to the specific boundaries of a particular rhema word.

If a rhema word shows us darkness and deception; darkness and deception must be rebuked.  The more accurately that we minister in accordance to the specifics of the rhema word, the greater will be the release of the anointing of the Lord.

Likewise, one of the keys to our maturing in prophecy is to discern the rhema word of God and speak it out as it is seen within, adding and subtracting nothing from it. And not putting our own feelings and interpretations to is.

The Cross and The Rhema Word

Our ability or inability to hear and discern the rhema word of God, which is the voice of His Spirit, has a great deal to do with how deeply we allow the cross of the Lord Jesus to work in our lives.

As I have taught before, the work of the cross of Christ daily kills off our diseased self-life.

Our self-life is plagued by the emotional tumults and noises of sins, hurts, fears and bondages.  The tumults of our fettered soul drown out the small still voice of the rhema word of God.  As the cross of Christ kills off what is not of the Lord, we become free and healed, and our souls become stilled and in subjection to the voice of the rhema word of God.  The deeper the cross of Christ works in us, the more stilled our inner life will become, and the ‘louder” will become the rhema word of God in our hearts.

The work of the cross is only completely effective in a life of uncompromising obedience to the Lord.  There are no shortcuts!  An attitude of continual yieldedness to God’s will is essential for us to work be the rhema word of God.

If we don’t preach and live the cross, neither will be able to hear the voice of God in any accurate way.

Practice Makes Perfect

The first time that we encounter God speaking within us it might come as a fluttering in our hearts, sweaty hands, and an unstoppable desire “to give a word.”

Other times the word of the Lord comes to us as something that we know, that we know. It’s as a gut feeling  These are examples of rhema words.

If we regard ourselves as obedient believers who embrace the cross, and are indeed learning to hear God’s rhema word, then our next step must be to put into play that old adage, “practice makes perfect.”

Whenever the Lord speaks to us a rhema word, we must learn to “step out in faith” to obey it.  There is no two ways about it!  We know that the rhema word is God’s measure of faith brought into a specific circumstance.  Since the rhema is a word made up of faith, it will take our faith to discern it within our spirit, and execute it without.  This is why the apostle James says the following.

James 2:20  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

That faith apart from works is a corpse

Hebrews 5:14  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised ( Greek word;  naked (gymnos)  and also gymnastics) to discern both good and evil.

But only for the mature and spiritually fully-grown man or woman that is attaining to Christ’s character belongs solid food.  Even to him, or her, who has a developed the habit of entering into fellowship with spiritual perception and discernment that can distinguish the good from the evil.  Their mature perception and discernment blossoming as the result of spiritual training performed like athletes as they have voluntarily discarded and became naked from all worldly things, so that their spiritual training may be vigorous and unhindered.

In Hebrews five and fourteen we are taught the necessity of stepping out in faith again, and again, so that our discernment will mature sufficiently, and we will be able to distinguish between the rhema word of God in our spirits, and the desires of the flesh in our souls.

John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the (Rhema words) that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

We now see in John 14:10 that the rhema words of the Spirit are the translation of the Father’s works within us.

The translated rhema words contain the power of God to make the works of the

John 17:8  For I have given unto them the RHEMA WORDS which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

We can now victoriously walk out of that sin since we now work in God’s wisdom and prudence. The rhema word has given to us the power of God found in the works of the Father and the revealed Christ to carry them out for us. All we need to do is to be faithful to obey every rhema word.  If we have not received the portion of the revealed Christ for the specified sin, and try to overcome it by ourselves, we fall into the law whose job is simply to expose our sinfulness.

If we do it by the portion of the Lord’s revelation within us, we work by the grace or labor of Christ to which sin has no dominion over.

Mark 2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Verse five tells us that Jesus saw their faith.  This is the same Greek word for “instinctively knowing.”  Whenever Jesus instinctively sees a grain of pure faith in us, He always acts.

Thy sins be forgiven thee. The bondage is broken and your sins are released and sent far away from you so that they no longer afflict you with paralysis.

The Lord Jesus’ command for the forgiveness of sins in this case is in the Greek perfect tense.  The Greek perfect tense is an aorist or an accomplished event but with effects or impact that lasts forever.

Mark 2:8  And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

Perceived:  The word for perceive is defined as having a thorough, exact, and precise knowledge of an object, so that by our thorough understanding of it we can grasp it and make it our own.  Jesus’ command of spiritual gifts was so complete and the clarity of the Father’s voice was so precise within Him, that His discernment of the rhema word was thorough.

We must minister in the same thorough, correct and precise knowledge of the rhema word.  It is required that we accurately discern a malady either as caused by a generational or habitual sin, a demon, or just a simple sickness.

For example, there are some occasions in which physical sicknesses are directly caused by the demonic, and unless the demonic is taken care of, the person will never be healed, no matter how much faith we have.

Mark 5:30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue ( dunamis power) had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Knowing: As with the word perceived in Mark 2:8; Jesus knew in this same accurate and through knowledge of the rhema word, that dunamis power had gone out of Him.

The woman’s faith released the dunamis power of God!  A pure grain of faith always releases the dunamis power of God!
