For communication is not Face Book, its one on one and face to face.

I had an illuminating conversation yesterday.

This person confirmed things that I have felt from the Holy Ghost.

Facebook is the worst communication tool ever. Don’t use it for communicating anything serious.

Second to that is email, followed by phone calls.

The most effective way of communicating is one on one and face to face.

Any challenging situation subject to misunderstanding and volatility must be advanced one to one and face to face.

There are volatile issues which have been shackled to closed paradigms.

What is a closed paradigm?

These are explosive issues in which both sides have shut themselves to prejudging a situation around closed arguments, closed questions and closed responses.

Take the matter of the sexual schism plaguing our nation.

All sides have predisposed themselves to certain viewpoints which gender specific arguments, with the same questions asked and the same responses expected. Its “cookie cutter” communication.  Appalling.

If the answer falls outside of the closed expectation, accusations of hate speech, knee jerk reactions and eventual crucifixion fly.

Piers Morgan is a perfect example of a closed paradigm communicator.

This is why I will not go on his show.

The church is also guilty of painting the whole sexual thing with  a broad brush of black paint.

Jesus loves individuals, knows their individual stories, and encourages Christian leaders to know individuals.

Every story is different. Circumstances have been different.

You can only help people when you hear them as individuals

Mature leaders need at arise beyond the phenomena of closed paradigms.

In volatile issues I will not talk unless I can meet with the person.

For communication is not Face Book, its one on one and face to face.

How did Jesus find me in 1979? Did He subject me to a close paradigm or did He become a friend?

As a Matter of Fact, I Have Come to Enjoy the Poop!

Poop and leadership go hand in hand

The Church "In The Cloud" Blog

Proverbs 14: 4  Where no oxen are, the crib is clean (from food, water and poop); but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

God is looking for good leaders more than He is for good ministers. There are many ministers and ministries. Good leaders are hard to find, though.

God is looking for problem solvers. Many will see the problem but few will get their hands dirty to solve it. If we are only looking for the success of our ministry without first becoming a good leader in it, we will miss God’s higher purpose.

The church is full of people who rightfully see the problems but will do little to solve them.

Solutions come through forgiving, relating, sharing, praying,  getting dirty in people’s poop, confronting, a willingness to also be wrong and learn, sacrificing time and resources, vulnerability, transparency,  accessibility to others, and to know people…

God Answers The Atheist

The Church "In The Cloud" Blog

I recently got into a conversation with a gentleman who is was a deep agnostic bordering on atheism.

He was a mathematics professor in a university.

I asked him, what it would take for him to believe. He told me that God, or if there is a God, would have to show him concrete and tangible proof of Himself.

We had been having Holy Ghost meetings. To my surprise, this man not only came to the meeting, but hung out with us way before the meeting began.

Jesus never chased anybody who did not want Him. Neither do I.

From the commencement of the meeting God came in with a tremendous bang of healing power.  In a matter of minutes many were on the floor visibly “under the influence” of God’s sweet love, if you know what I mean.

I prayed for everybody, except this man, wishing to respect his…

Throne

The Church "In The Cloud" Blog

Mt 5:34  But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

Heaven is in the dative case of location. This noun case places the word in terms of location. Heaven is the place where God’s throne or mode of ruling is located at. Heavenly places, things and patterns are superior to what exists on earth. The purpose of the renewed mind is that the Christian can rule out of heaven. The believer’s position is sitting and ruling in heaven. The locality where the believer is situated is in heaven and not on earth.

35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

Likewise, “by the earth” is in the dative case of location. This should really read, “In the earth”.

Footstool is translated as what is underneath the feet. For…

I Thought that I was at a Benny Hinn Crusade.

The Church "In The Cloud" Blog

This Easter Sunday God graced our church with a miracle .

I like Google’s description of a miracle.

“A surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency,” writes Google dictionary.

My wife and I lead the ministry teams, which pray extensively for folks who attend.

On occasions, a few of us have gone as late as 4:00 PM in a service which begins at 11:00AM

During the message God directed my eyes to a lady  at the far end of the sanctuary.

“I want you to pray for her,” said the Holy Spirit.

Mary was home with a stomach bug. I team up with her. This time I grabbed another couple and signaled them to follow.

We sauntered across the church and got to this woman who still sat.

I gently touched her…
