Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us (the accusative mood in the Greek) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
“Hath blessed us”, is in the Greek accusative mood.
The accusative mood describes someone or something which becomes the final goal or the recipient of an action.
It is someone or something that is a receptacle or container to receive the action of something else.
The source of every spiritual blessing given by God has the church as its final aim or goal.
This means that the church is God’s receptacle, His final objective, and His depository of all that He is, and all that He has, and all that He plans to do.
The saints are the funneling ground or target into which God desires to pour all.
This makes the church the most powerful human entity on the earth.
- Does she know this?
- How would we leaders guide the church in view of this?
