My Three, Four, and Five Hundred Approach to Weight Loss

By the grace of God, I’ve almost lost 40 pounds.

My goal is 185 lbs.

I was at 230 lbs.

God convicted me to lose weight so it has not been hard.

I’ll make my secret simple.

Invest in a good digital scale. Something in the neighborhood of forty dollars.

You need to have an accurate ongoing record of your weight progress.

Then use the 300, 400, 500 rule.

300 calories for breakfast.

400 calories for lunch.

500 calories for dinner.

You many need a bit more calories than I do.

The experts would have me at 1400-1500 calories per day to lose, but I feel good with the 1200 or 1300 that I ingest.

Check it for out as per your height, age, gender, lifestyle activity level, and so forth.

One of the few blessings of “big government over regulation” is that everything now has the calories on it.

So add them up at every eating.

Eat from all food groups. Don’t leave out starches or sweets or vegetables or you will end up craving them and blowing it later.

Eat your three meals a day. Do not skip a meal.

Indulge yourself when someone invites you to their home but don’t overdo it.

If you blow it, get on the bandwagon the next day.

My saving grace is two heaping tablespoons of Betty Crocker frosting per day.

This is about 80 calories per clump.

If you are in a location where you cannot count calories then use my one cup, one half, one fourth approach.

Purchase a three dollar set of measuring cups from Walmart and carry them with you.

If its breakfast. I measure one heaping cup of dry cereal, pour it into a bowl and use Silk Soy Milk.

I also love good black coffee with out anything.

Then I use the Art Linkletter approach by which he lost 70 pounds. Eat everything but cut all portions by half.

All of your desserts squash them into the ¼ cup size before eating.

More than anything ask God to help you.

Blessings.
