Let Revival Begin!

Dear Friends:

God has called us back to New York, specifically to the city of Nyack in Rockland County.

This is our sixth trip to Nyack from Miami.

The dates are September 15 – November 14th.

Our journeys began four years ago during visits to our daughter who was attending college in New York City.

I thought I would never have a desire to minister in big cities, but God not only gave us a love for New York, but revealed that He is doing a great work in the northeast.

Through a mutual friend we got connected with David Kim, pastor of Silver Springs Vineyard Church of Nyack.

Nyack is 50 minutes north of Manhattan on the Hudson River.

Through Pastor David we have met wonderful people in Rockland County.

With each trip God has increased the work which He is dynamically accomplishing with those inside and outside the churches of Rockland County.

New York City and Nyack both share in a rich revival history.

In 1857, God called Jeremiah Lamphere to initiate one of America’s Great Awakenings in Southern Manhattan near Wall Street.

In 1882, one of the foremost figure in the American missionary movement, AB Simpson, founded Nyack College as a training school for missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission of world evangelization.

Nyack College was the first Bible College in the USA.

The wells of revival dug by these great works have created an open heaven in this part of the country conducive to yet another revival which will impact the nation and the world.

In one of our trips we met Pastor Greg Manalli, of Fellowship of Life Church, in Cheshire, Connecticut.

He has prayed for revival in the northeast for more than thirty years.

Pastor Greg showed us three paintings of a vision which he received in 1980’s,

In them, the bellows of God blew revival winds into the New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts area with a great resultant harvest of souls.

The northeast is uniquely situated for a move of God which can touch millions at one time. There is no other region like it.

Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington DC, are all along the 1 -95 corridor and just hours from each other. Breaking revival in one area will quickly spread through this corridor.

With the social media phenomena the effects of a northeast revival will be explosive.

It is to this area that God continues to send Mary and me back, again and again.

The trips are expensive because we deal with two set of bills, one for New York and another for Miami.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us financially in bringing revival to our great nation?

Our corporation Emerging, Inc. is a 501 C 3 non profit ministry.

We issue you receipts at the end of the year for your taxable deductions.

Just click on the Pay Pal  button below.

Also consider connecting with us through social media if you are on it.

Thank you, and many blessings,

Jose and Mary

Steps from Nyack College

In this picture of Nyack College you can see steps on the right side. These steps go all the way down to the Hudson River at the foreground of the photo. Missionaries and missionary students from all over the world would from NYC, take boats to Nyack. From the Hudson River, with luggage and all, they would climb the hundreds of steps leading to the college.

Why Is The Church Accused?

Eph 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us (ACCUSATIVE NOUN CASE) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

In the Greek, the accusative noun case is just what it says. The accusing finger points towards the object that will receive all judgment, sentence, or wrath. It’s a receptacle into where all is focused or pointed to. The accused object is the receptacle or the goal of the judgment.

If we turn this into something good, the object, placed in the accusative case, is the thing that all benefits is poured or funneled into.

The church is the entity into which all of God’s love, blessings, benefits, all that He is, and all the He wants to do, is focused into.

I call the church the receptacle of God’s funnel into which He pours all.

It’s up to us to increase our ability to receive.

His love and generosity are hyper transcendental.  It’s lavish above all limitations.

It’s limited by us and our boxed concepts. We have God, church, as matter of fact, all things in a box.

Romans 3: 27  Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through the law of faith.

Because faith is a law, we get what we believe for. If we ask from boxed thinking, God will give us from a box.

Luke 16:20  But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, who had been placed at his gate,

21  and longing to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. And even the dogs came and would lick his sores.

Lazarus faith level was to receive crumbs from the rich man’s table and that is what he got.

Are you believing for crumbs from the Lord’s table?

Sadly, most of the church is, and is getting just that by the law of faith.

Romans 12:2  And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

The purpose of renewing our minds is so that we can think without limits. So that we can receive hyper transcend tally and lavishly from a God that is such.

God is tired of boxed religion, boxed church, alas, of having Him in a box.

BREAK OUT!!

The church is the object of His love, we are the charming ones, we have been translated into kingdom of The Son of His Love, and we are His beloved.

Most healing will come as a revelation of how much He truly loves every last part of you. Where you are sick, receive His love into that very place.

You are the receptacle of His love.

You are the one to whom God’s positively accusing finger points to!

You are the receptacle of God’s massive funnel and He is always funneling into you.

RECEIVE,  RECEIVE,  RECEIVE !

The Great Chapter of Faith In Hebrews

Heb 11:1  Now faith (subject) is the substance of things hoped for (substantive), the evidence(subjective) of things not(absolutely not) seen(substantive).

  • Substance from two Greek words defined as a “standing under something” The substructure or hidden foundation, the substance and essence, of what is asked for is immediately changed from that of what was, into the one which was asked for.
  • The proving to the eyes of our heart, what our physical eyes cannot see.

Hebrews 11:3  Through faith (location/ instrumentality of faith) we understand (only through faith can we continually grasp and understand)  that the worlds (accusative)  were framed (equipped) by the rhema word/(instrumentality, location) of God, so that things which are seen (substantive)  were not made of things which do appear (substantive).

  • Greek: The worlds were framed by the rhema word of God, or the voice of the Spirit, so that the things that we presently see with our eyes were made out of things that cannot be seen by the eye.
  • In other words, God always creates what is physically evident to us, out of things which are physically invisible.
  • The word “framed” is the same word used for the mending of the fishing nets by the apostle Peter.
  • It is also defined as the full equipping towards the successful carrying out of a mission.
  • The “framing” of the United States armed forces in the Persian Gulf Crisis told us that they were furnished with the quality and quantity of armaments, food, gear, and clothing that were needed to furnish them a total victory.

Hebrews 11:5  By faith (location/ instrumentality of faith)  Enoch was translated  that he should not see death (Direct object); and was not found, because God (Subject)  had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

  • Being located in the world of faith, Enoch was physically moved so that he would not see, or intuitively know death in any of its aspects.
  • He was absolutely not found in any of the realms that represented death.

Hebrews 11:6  But without faith (Genitive-what belongs to faith)  it is impossible to please him: for he (Substantive) that cometh to God (direct object)must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

  • Without faith there is a vacuum of dunamis power, or ability, to please God.
  • For those who investigate, research, and seek out God, and his things, He becomes a proportional reward giver.

Hebrews 11:7  By faith (location/ instrumentality of faith) Noah, being warned of God of things not seen(substantive) as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark (Direct object)  to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir (Subjective)  of the righteousness which is by faith.

  • Being divinely instructed and admonished concerning the things that he could not see with human the human eyes.
  • “The things yet not seen” what was what well known to Noah, or what had a three dimensional substance to him.   The physical world acquired no reality or became simply two-dimensional.

8  By faith (location/ instrumentality of faith) Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place(Retained object) which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

  • He obeyed-   Greek: “a military submission to hearing”
  • Not knowing- Having nothing in the physical realm which was set and standing before him so that he could grasp and follow.  He had no acquaintance with what God had called him to do.

Heb 11:12  Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

  •  Therefore also from one were born (many) though that specific one was in a perfect state of a corpse; and these many, in relationship to the stars of heaven, equal to the number of the fullness of their multitude; and just as the sand by the side of the shore of the sea is so much in number that even arithmetic cannot calculate it.

27  By faith he forsook Egypt (Direct object), not fearing the wrath(Direct object) of the king(subjective): for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

  • Moses dominated and endured by seeing in the Spirit what was invisible or void of discernment in the natural or to the human eye.
  • His substance was the rhema word of God, or the voice of the Spirit,
  •   The natural world was not a reality to him.

Why Is The Church The Most Important Social Institution?

Eph 1:22 God has put all things under His feet, and has appointed Him universal and supreme Head of the Church, which is His Body,

23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

God’s purpose for the church is so vast, that on this side of eternity we will hardly scratch its surface.

  • I think of the church and how it has missed some of  the great purposes of Christ.

Yet it is never too late for these “now generations” of believers to catch God’s vision and run with it.

  • The church is the body of Christ.

Christ is the head.

The head is what sees, hears, plans, and pulls the body along.

Regrettably, I still find myself being the head in many ways.

I find myself worrying into the future, carry financial burdens, fretfully scheming, etc.

God convicted me that these are the responsibilities of the head, of which I am not.

As part of the body of Christ, my job is simply to hear and obey. The head does the figuring out. I do not have to see into the future and worry about it.

Eph 1:22 God has put all things under His feet, and has appointed Him universal and supreme Head of the Church, which is His Body,

23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Christ has risen far above all things that are named in heaven, on earth and below the earth. He has sat at the right hand of God and on top of that, all things have been placed underneath His feet.

  • By this act, He has claimed the title of The Head.

Christ, in His position as head has been squarely placed over the shoulders of the church which is now His body

What incredible power the church has!

The body fills and carries out all that the head thinks, plans, sees and hears..

23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

  • The church has becomes the fullness of Christ. What is fullness?

Let’s look at Coca Cola. What is it?  Is it the bottle, or is it the liquid inside?  Well, it’s the syrupy liquid.

Coca Cola is made up of every ingredient that is perfectly mixed in its required quantities and precise order, to lawfully recognize and labeled it as this reality which we call Coca Cola in contradistinction to anything else in the universe.

  • The fullness of God then, describes the very essence, the reality, and the evidence of who God is.  It describes every attribute and characteristic that is required, to make God, God, in contradistinction to anything else in the universe.

The church is the fullness of God!  The Lord has called upon the church to manifest Him in His very essence and reality.  He has also summoned the church to manifest every attribute and characteristic that makes up the essence and reality of who He is.  This is called the glory of God, or allowing the invisible God to become accurately identifiable.

  • This is why the church is the most powerful institution in the universe! This is what separates the church from every other social institution. And yet, she does not recognize it and hence cannot act like it.

Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

  • If the church is functioning as it should, Christ would have preeminence in all things in this natural world. This is because the church is the fullness of God.

The nature of fulness is to naturally and continually fill all things in the universe with what Christ has accomplished as The Head, until everything is totally filled.

The only social institution that can do this is the church.

Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

  • We see the amazing importance of the church as it manifests the counsels and wisdom of God even to all the angelic and demonic hierarchy. This is all part of the fullness of God.

How To Get Automatic Results With God ?

John 5: 14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions (REQUESTS EFFECTS/ OR THE RESULTS OF OUR REQUESTS) that we desired of him.

  • Verse 14 uses the word parrhesia for “confidence”, which is literally defined as “every kind of speech or speaking.”
  • Parrhesia is fearless confidence, frankness, and transparency in word and deed coming through a person who is free and liberated in Christ.
  • One can only be fearlessly confident in the Lord when he knows his identity in Christ and is free from hurt, and bondage, and offense.
  • The fearless confidence is the Person of Christ expressing Himself in unabashed power through a vessel who in unshackled and unhindered and unoffended.
  • In verse 14 John talks about the need for parrhesia in obtaining from the Lord what we ask of Him.

15  nd if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions (REQUESTS EFFECTS/ OR THE RESULTS OF OUR REQUESTS) that we desired of him.

And if we know that he hears us.”

  • The word here for “know” is “oida” which is instinctive or gut feeling knowledge.” This is the type of  knowledge that we know, that we know, that we know. I don’t have to go to school to know that a girl’s dress is red! This is “oida”.
  • Oida, in verse 15, is in the perfect tense. The perfect tense is a completed action in the past, such as something which occurred yesterday, with the effect of the results still real today.
  • The Spirit of God speaks through this oida type of knowledge. It’s not the understanding first and then knowledge, but visa versa. We obey God first, through the gut feeling knowledge that His voice reveals, and then comes His understanding of why He is asking us to do it.
  • If we ask anything according to God’s will and instinctively know that He has heard you without a doubt, which should always be the case when we ask for something according to the will of God, then we know that we have the petitions (REQUESTS EFFECTS/ OR THE COMPLETED RESULTS OF OUR REQUESTS) that we desired of him.

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions (REQUESTS EFFECTS/ OR THE RESULTS OF OUR REQUESTS) that we desired of him.

  • The word “petitions” in verse 15 is the Strong’s word # 155 “aitema” It is only found 3 times in the NT.
  • Nouns in the Greek that finish in the “ma” ending describe effect, result, or a finished product
  • So petitions in verse 15 are the products or the effects of the requests. Better said, whatever we petition by the Spirit of God, which works by His oida knowledge, we automatically get. This is because petitions in this verse, with the ma ending, describe, result, effect or end product. Its automatic!
  • Our job is to ask with confidence or parrhesia.

1 Cor 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, (grace effects or results) but the same Spirit.
6 And there are diversities of operations (energy effects or results), but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

  • Gifts are charisma. Notice the “ma” ending. Spiritual gifts are the end results or products of God’s grace or supernatural labor. All we need to do is to receive them.
  • The nine charismatic gifts are the effect or tangible results of nine fold labors of God in us.
  • God makes Himself not just responsible to execute a charismatic gift through us, He likewise will bring the effect, or the tangible, manifested completed result of that gift. We simply exercise unwavering confidence.

6 And there are diversities of operations ( energy effects or results), but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

  • Operations, is the word energamata, or the manifested results or energies or what has been energized. Notice the “ma” ending.
  • Verse six is a promise to us that what God has labored IN US through charismatic gifts will be energized OUT THROUGH  US, as tangible manifested completed results to our five senses and our inhabited world.

1 John 5:14 ¶ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions ( REQUESTS EFFECTS/ OR THE RESULTS OF OUR REQUESTS) that we desired of him.

  • The revelation that I got out of 1John is that when we ask according to the will of God and have the confidence to know that God’s ears are opened to what we have requested, the asking and receiving is charismatic. It all happens seamlessly and effortlessly by God’s grace and our faith to receive.
  • God makes Himself responsible to produce the results of our petitions automatically in proportions to our confidence and faith.

Marella is the first of thousands of children who Heartbeat of Miami saved from the modern day holocaust of abortion. Now she wants to be the president of the USA and end abortion. Let’s see if she can bring the needed results to what politicians and judges have comfortably swept under the rugs for decades but will give account to God for.

Fit and Knit

Eph 2:19  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21  whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

Fitly framed together: To bring the joints together to speak. To frame together the members of Christ’s body, as parts of a building are brought together.  Joining, cementing, and fitting and raising together a building in all of its parts.

the church becomes the Holy of Holies as all of its members perform to their peak spiritual efficiency by their giftings, ministries and callings

Everyone must participate whether in a stage of being mentored and raised up or actually ministering.

There are no “one man shows” in the Christ’s body. I always call people up to help me minister to others.

To “fitly frame” is the effective operations of all ministries by all members within a local assembly. This causes the full revelation of the Person of Christ, as His revelation is ‘fitted properly together” by the ministries of those in the local body

Ephesians 4:16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

A local assembly increases, and grows, as each member within the local body supplies his or her part in accordance to the gifts and ministries, which the Lord has given to each of them.  This is what Paul means in verse sixteen when he employs the term “every joint supplieth.”  By every joint yielding nourishment and working to its peak performance, and by means of every contact, furnished by every believer, this supplies the body of the knowledge of the revealed Christ.

The Greek says: “Every joint of supply”.

“To supply” is defined as furnishing a chorus liberally with all that it needs. Every joint of supply is each and every member of a local body as he or she effectively supplies the revelation of the Son of God through their ministries in order to manifest the Spirit.

By every joint yielding nourishment and working to its peak performance, and by means of every contact, which serves for the supplying of the body of the knowledge of the revealed Christ.

The body produces self-growth and self-building up. This self-growth and building up is limited to the measure of the energy put out by each member of the body as each one supplies to the extent of fully supplying a chorus of singers.

1.    EVERY” parishioner has the responsibility to work within a congregation at his or her “PEAK LEVEL OF SPIRIT LED PERFORMANCE”.  This requires obedience to God, and dedication to the local body. There are no “lone ranger Christians.”

2.    According to the working in due measure of each several part.  Greek paraphrase: The revelation of Christ is limited to the energy (that will make His revelation fully operational) put forth by the quantity and quality of the “measure of supply” through each of the parishioners’ charismatic ministries.

 Col 2:2  That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

The knitting together comes after every member of the local church has been fit together into a proper building for the Lord through the ministries and callings of every individual.  The believers’ hearts are then knit together in affection.

This oneness causes the fellowship to be united in love, thought, purpose and vision.  In combination with the effectiveness of every member’s ministries and spiritual gifts, it will bring this local body into a full understanding of the accurate knowledge of the mystery of the Godhead and Trinity. This is the full assurance of understanding. This then is the fullness of the glory of God, which should be displayed to the world and into who the whole body as it grows into Christ in all things.

The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ allows for an assembly to grow up into Him in all things.  The revealed Person of Christ becomes its model, pattern, or example.  Growing up into Christ allows the saints within the church to achieve the same maturity that Christ has in the very thing that they grow fully into Him in.  The church is the only institution that allows for people to grow fully in to Christ in all things.  Growing up into our example makes us like our example.

Thus the church can be seen as an entity that is in a continual process of being fitted together by every one’s ministry and gifts, being joined together in love and intimacy, and growing in to God’s Holy of Holies to manifest His glory within and then without to the world.

Teaching others how to minister in Nyack, NY. There are no one man shows in the body of Christ. You don’t see an eye or an arm laying around doing everything.

The “Ma Ending” Words in Biblical Greek And I Don’t Mean Momma

I am adding to what I wrote yesterday. Today, through a Bible teacher God opened up my eyes about the rhema word, which is the voice of the Holy Spirit. It comes from the word “rheo “which is to gush, flow or pour out. Now look at yesterday’s study about the nouns which end in “ma”. What would the word rhema mean, then?

Here is an excerpt from yesterday’s teaching,” In the Greek, when a noun ends in “ma” in the singular, or “maton” in the plural, it signifies the effect, the result or the fruit.

Indeed, whatever the Spirit pours out from us by His Word must always result in or produce what He says.

My wife added a little goodie. I don’t know if this right or not.

River in Spanish, is rio. Could the Spanish rio and the Greek rheo mean the same thing?

Both mean to gush, flow, or pour out.

Are rheoma or rioma the precursor to rhema?

The vital thing about rhema is that what the Spirit of God pours out through us must always come to pass. Sometimes there are conditions of obedience on our part and some of His promises are conditional on that obedience.

Yesterday’s teaching outlines another “ma” word describing the healing power of God.

1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing <2386> by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings <2386>, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1Co 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing <2386>? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
I’m still floored by these scriptures many years later.
The word for healing here is “iama,” and it only appears 3 times in the Bible. In the Greek, when a noun ends in “ma” in the singular, or “maton” in the plural, it signifies the effect, the result or the fruit.
Iama comes from the word iaomai, which signifies healing as a cure.
This is stronger than the other healing word, therapeuo. The latter can refer more to a therapeutic healing which can be an elongated process.
Iaomai, is a cure.
Iama, is the effect or the result of the cure, or that which has brought the cure.
Thus, iama, in reality is the word, medicine.
The gifts of healings ( iamaton ) are the gifts of spiritually given medicines to affect the cures
It’s all happens by our faith when we know that God has given us the faith to release the proper medicines or iamaton.

Iama and rhema are two “ ma words ‘ which always mean, fruit, result or effect. Our faith level must function at the level of expecting results.

One more note!

Pneuma or Spirit in the Greek, is another “ma” word.

It comes from the word, “Pneo” which is to blow, or to breath and is associated with the wind.

Therefore, what the Holy Spirit ( pneuma to hagion ) speaks or does by the premise of its “ma” ending” will always come to pass.

God brings the result or the finished product by the wind of His Spirit through the rivery flow of His word.

On This 07/14/2013

On this 07/14/2013:

“As I was people watching yesterday during the expo, I couldn’t help to see where we, humanity, have gotten to. If we, the Church, do not rise and begin to truly pray, cry out with moaning and groans and allow the Holy Spirit to fully and completely flow thru us… What inheritance are we leaving for our children, for all the next generations? We are looking too much like the church of Laodecia Something HAS to give. What “that” something is.. is on us.” Yazmin Gonzales

Body of Christ the greatest favor that we can do for our nation is to get on our knees and pray for her. Only God has the solutions.

Instead of getting caught up in the turmoil of a broken world come into the peace of the presence of God. You are crucified to the world.

This is an opportune time for the church to get on her knees and pray for broken humanity, that it would find its answers in God.

One more thought before I run to church. Body of Christ, we are called to be healers. Amen!

Once again another tremendous move of the Spirit during prayer time at Doral Vineyard. Nearly two hours of prayer. I did one my favorite things. Five or six people including two kids whom I don’t think have ever ministered or ministered sparingly in the Spirit, had a chance to. Discipleship and raising others is at the center of God’s heart. Everybody was massively touched, everybody had a great time. I can say that the most enjoyable experience affordable to man is getting touched by the Spirit of God.

What a suitable time for the church to get on its knees until God shed His power on this great country. May the church have an understanding of the times!

1Ch 12:32 And of the sons of Issachar, having understanding for the times, to know what Israel should do; their heads are two hundred, and all their brethren are at their command.

We sang this song at church on this 07/14/2013

Lyrics to Holy Visitation:

Sound the alarm gather the people, gather the elders let ministers wail.
Take back the years the enemies stolen, Lord you are coming with holy visitation.

Sound the alarm, awaken the watchmen open their ears let their voices be alarmed. We prophecy you will come to this nation, touch this generation with a holy visitation.

To Subdue The Seemingly Unsubduable

Inside the Person of Christ are deposited and hidden of all of God’s blessings, riches, and treasures that benefit us today and forever.

Col 2:2  That their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

 Ephesians 3:8  Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Look with me at two of the many riches that are hidden inside of Christ

Eph 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Greek (paraphrase): To Him who has power to perform in a way that is abundantly above and beyond all that we ask of Him, or think with our minds.

He can only do this however, according to, or limited to, or the “fencing in”, of the dunamis power that operates effectively within us.

1 Cor 1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Greek paraphrase  “Christ; God’s dunamis power.”

Upon inspection of 1 Cor. 1:24, we find out that God’s dunamis power is not something that we ask God for!  Neither does it say that Christ gives to us God’s dunamis power.  This verse tells us that Christ HIMSELF IS God’s dunamis power.

This is why I always refer to what Watchman Nee taught the church at beginning of the 20th century, and of which it still has not gotten a hold of!

Brother Nee says that God does not give to us bunch of blessings.  He gave us one thing, His Son.

Hebrews 1:2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

All that God is, and has for us, lives IN or INSIDE His Son.  God has given us His Son to dwell within us, as a treasure chest of all that He is, all of His possessions, and blessings.

The devil deceives the church by enticing it to ask God for a variety of blessings, when it should be asking the Lord for a spirit of wisdom and revelation.

This is so that Christ, God’s treasure chest, is revealed within each believer, along with all God’s bounties dwelling within Him.

Eph 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

·Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God works within us a way which is abundantly above and beyond what we wish.  However, God’s activity is “limited to” or “fenced in by” the dunamis power that is manifested through our lives. This very power is what gives to God the ability to work effectively.

1 Cor 1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

In Corinthians, we see that this “dunamis power” is Christ Himself. Therefore, the quantity and quality of Christ’s revelation within us is the boundary or limit to which God is allowed to operate within us abundantly and beyond all that we ask or think.

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

All spiritual blessings occur in Christ (let’s say in the sphere or world belonging to His revelation).

The more is His revelation within us, the more that that the totality of God’s spiritual blessings already inside of Him, will become an experienced reality to us.

Col 2:9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Fullness, in New Testament terms, is the substance or makeup of an object that defines it to be what it is. The fullness of Coca Cola, is the fluid within the glass bottle that has all the ingredients, and formula, that labels it exclusively, and independently, of anything else in this world, as Coca Cola.

Inside the Person of Christ is deposited the very being, substance, and makeup of Almighty God which defines Him exclusively as God Almighty.

This Christ, which contains the fullness of Almighty God, has been given to us.

This is why in verse ten we find out that IN Christ, we are already and forever more complete.  Our experiential completion is equal to the manifested fullness of God as it is revealed in us. Once again, we must remember that the immense treasure of God’s fullness as experienced by us, is limited to, or fenced in by to the manifestation of Christ within our lives, who is also the power of God to effectively bring forth God’s fullness into our lives.

Do we need anything more than this?

How are these treasures revealed to us?

I Cor 1:23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

I Cor 2:2  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

In both instances above, Christ crucified is in the Greek perfect tense.

The Greek perfect tense is defined, as a once and for all accomplished event with an eternal impact. Therefore, though Christ was crucified 2000 years ago, the effect of His crucifixion is as powerful for us today, as it was 20 centuries ago.  Because Christ is God’s treasure chest, the effects of His crucifixion dwell permanently inside Him.

This very Christ, still crucified today, has been given to us as another of the treasures that lives within Him.

Why does God give to us “the treasure of Christ as permanently crucified” to dwell within us? This is what I term as the “law of crucifixion” or “the law of the cross”.  A law tells us that under a specific set of circumstances, specific results will always occur.

·With our every individual act of obedience towards God, “the law of crucifixion” (which is the permanently crucified Christ) kicks in, resulting into what is described in the next two verses out of 2 Corinthians chapter four.

2 Cor 4:10  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11  For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

The revelation of Christ, and the treasures within Him, becomes a progressive reality inside of us by obedience to God.  Every act of obedience towards God activates the law of the cross that reveals the treasure of “Christ crucified”, which destroys our self-life and manifests Christ and His treasures.

How do we become free?

2 Cor 13:3  Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

2 Cor 13:3 tells us that The Christ which has been given to live within us, is always mighty and powerful in ability.  His might and ability becomes a reality in proportion to His revelation.

4  For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

The Greek further tells us in verse four, that in the same way that a tree lives from its roots as it obtains nutrients found in the soil, we must live our lives rooted in the power of God, as it is released in proportion to the revelation of Christ.

Philip 3:21  Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things to himself.

Another vital treasure dwelling within Christ, and one, which we will refer to in the rest of this study, is “the Christ whom subdues all things to Himself.”

To subdue, is a military term comparable to a general with an army in perfect submission, hierarchy, and order, beneath him.

One of the most important desires of Christ is to subdue all that is not of Him in this military and hierarchal order. The verses immediately below, all use the very same Greek word found for the subduing in Philippians 3:21; thus showing a vital part of the mind of God towards us in the finished work of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:27  For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

1 Corinthians 15:28  And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Ephesians 1:22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power (dominion) of his might (inner strength).

Christ ability to subdue is an absolute necessity for us, since it is the work of Christ to set us free.  Subduing however, can also have a very negative connotation.

Dictators, such as Hitler, Castro, and others, focused their whole lives on the subduing of people. Christ, likewise, focuses much of His work in subduing, but only of things that are evil and harmful to humanity.

In the case of evil dictators, the subduing of peoples is called dominating, or exercising dominion over them. This evil exercise of dominion accomplishes a power as it is carried out, called the power of dominion or domination, in proportion to the strength of the dictator.

In Eph 6:10 we find this exact principle at work.  Translated for us it commands us to be empowered in the Lord and in the domination or dominion exerted by His strength.

This dominion or domination is what gives the Lord the ability to subdue all things unto Himself.

Are we beginning to get the picture?  The revelation of Christ within us, triggered by the law of the cross through our obedience, reveals the Christ who dominates.

Eph 3:16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened(dominion) with might (dunamis power) by his Spirit in the inner man;

·Greek: That God’s power deposited into your inner man through the Holy Spirit will be seen or translated as Christ’s dominion within you.

The results of this subduing or dominion whisks us right into verse seventeen.

17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

To dwell, is defined as an inhabitant being in comfortable control of his home, thus allowing him to live in the peace and authority which has been purchased through that control.

Christ desires to dwell in this very fashion within our hearts.  He can only do so in believers that fully obey Him, allowing “the Christ that dominates and subdues all evil” to set them free, so that He may dwell and exercise the full authority of the kingdom, through them.

Eph 1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty( inward strength) power,(outward dominion)

Greek paraphrase. The exceeding greatness of this power is funneled into those who continuously believe.  The inward strength of God, which is displayed as His outward dominion, is translated as the exceeding greatness of His power, which is funneled into the believer. This funneling is limited to the continual believing of the Christian, which in turn is defined as the uncompromising moment-by-moment obedience to God’s rhema word, or voice of the Spirit.

20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

He wrought : This is very powerful!

The Greek perfect tense is used with this verb.  As we know, the Greek perfect tense is an accomplished event in history, having an eternal impact.

Which He wrought, can be defined, as the working through, or the accomplishing of something with absolute effectiveness, resulting in its becoming fully operational.

The exceeding greatness of God’s power; the translation of the dominion of the strength found within God, is fully and eternally operational inside the Person of His Son!  This very Christ lives within us, beloved!

The effective and full operation of this dominating or subduing power can be proved in that Christ sat down at the right hand of the Father after His resurrection.  One who sits down can only do so after conquering all; it is the position of rest.

This is why we always see Christ sitting down in the parables of His kingdom and glory.  His sitting down is the result of His absolute victories, thus allowing for the release of His glory through the works of the kingdom

Matthew 8:11  And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 26:64  Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Eph 1:21   Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Herein is another aspect of God’s dominion fully operational within Christ, in that He was raised FAR IN DISTANCE above all that is opposed to Him.

22  And put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

The full and effective operation of the exceeding greatness of God’s power inside of Christ, is not only witnessed that in all things to Christ.

He rose far above them in physical distance, but they are now likewise subdued in a military fashion under His feet.

Finally and most important, THIS VERY CHRIST which has the full operation of the exceeding greatness of God’s power resident within Him, has been given to live within us!

23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Greek: Fills all things in all people.

To fill all things in all people, is the fullness of Christ’s revelation, which reveals the Christ who has the full operation of God’s dominating power, which sets us free!
