All this stuff occurred between the late sixties and early eighties.
I smoked cigarettes for fifteen years a pack and half per day.
Later on, I began the marijuana habit which I carried for 10 years.
Between the marijuana and the cigarettes my lungs got really, really, bad.
They were in constant pain.
I was frightened.
God set me free from drugs, but the cigarettes was something which I continued in and could not stop.
Whatever I would do to quit I would miserably fail.
I was petrified that I was getting cancer.
One day in desperation I fell on my knees.
For ninety minutes, I pleaded and wept with Jesus to deliver me from the control of cigarettes.
The next morning, I just knew I did not need them anymore.
There were big weeds behind my house.
I took the package of Vantage cigarettes and flung it into them
That was 33 years ago.
I have never smoked again.
God’s deliverance do not come by what we do through ourselves, but what Jesus does through us in response to our prayers.
People ask me, how have I lost 40 lbs.?
It’s not been hard, because the Holy Spirit got my ball rolling.
This is grace!
Grace is not a license to sin because God loves us.
It’s a license not to sin because God kick starts something new.
Everyone needs a motivation to begin the new.
We are creatures of habit.
We tolerate pain until it is unbearable.
This is why Americans tolerate corrupt politicians until they hit their pocket book or bring them to imminent danger.
God brings us to the point of the unbearable to give us disgust for the sin which brought us the unbearable.
I tried through life to lose weight, quite unsuccessfully.
My motivation came when Jesus said, “if you don’t lose the weight, you won’t fulfill your destiny.’”
I’m not sure what He meant but it was enough to get me scared.
These are “God motivations.”
They are the products of “do or die’ scenarios.
Are you ready for some “God motivations?”
Ask and you shall receive!
By the grace of God, I’ve almost lost 40 pounds.
My goal is 185 lbs.
I was at 230 lbs.
God convicted me to lose weight so it has not been hard.
I’ll make my secret simple.
Invest in a good digital scale. Something in the neighborhood of forty dollars.
You need to have an accurate ongoing record of your weight progress.
Then use the 300, 400, 500 rule.
300 calories for breakfast.
400 calories for lunch.
500 calories for dinner.
You many need a bit more calories than I do.
The experts would have me at 1400-1500 calories per day to lose, but I feel good with the 1200 or 1300 that I ingest.
Check it for out as per your height, age, gender, lifestyle activity level, and so forth.
One of the few blessings of “big government over regulation” is that everything now has the calories on it.
So add them up at every eating.
Eat from all food groups. Don’t leave out starches or sweets or vegetables or you will end up craving them and blowing it later.
Eat your three meals a day. Do not skip a meal.
Indulge yourself when someone invites you to their home but don’t overdo it.
If you blow it, get on the bandwagon the next day.
My saving grace is two heaping tablespoons of Betty Crocker frosting per day.
This is about 80 calories per clump.
If you are in a location where you cannot count calories then use my one cup, one half, one fourth approach.
Purchase a three dollar set of measuring cups from Walmart and carry them with you.
If its breakfast. I measure one heaping cup of dry cereal, pour it into a bowl and use Silk Soy Milk.
I also love good black coffee with out anything.
Then I use the Art Linkletter approach by which he lost 70 pounds. Eat everything but cut all portions by half.
All of your desserts squash them into the ¼ cup size before eating.
More than anything ask God to help you.
1 Cor 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
The gifts of healing in the Greek: “ Charismata iamaton”
There are numerous words for healing in the New Testament
The most powerful one is “iaomai”.
More than the process of healing, “iaomai’ is the cure.
In 1Cor 12:9 Paul uses the word “iamaton” which is only seen three times in the Bible.
“Iamaton” is a noun.
Hence it does not define the procedure for the cure.
As a noun it specifies the medicine which produces the cure.
The gifts healing are your administration of the perfect “God medicines” to produce the cures in those you pray for.
This must be our faith level!

About a year ago a friend who manufactures vitamins and herbal supplements had several of us pray on how to develop a supplement for arthritis.
Yours truly, a chiropractor, and this brother had a series of prayer meetings.
God downloaded a host of unusual products to us.
I received a series of visions describing items of which I had no idea what I was seeing.
This brother was able to figure them out.
The product was created and launched totally from this unique mixture which the Holy Spirit concocted.
I had lunch with my friend today. The product is doing extremely well. It’s being sold on TV in several foreign countries. Another company is requesting for one million capsules. It’s difficult to keep it on the shelves.
Below are the specs on God’s product for arthritis.
The closer we operate our lives by the specific instructions of the voice of the Holy Spirit, the greater will be the success.
Ro 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession (Hyperentugchano) for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Hyperentugchano – Excessive, superabundant, bull’s eye hitting of the target, is the meaning of true intercession in the Spirit.
When we pray by the voice of the Spirit, we hit the bull’s eye of God’s will.
We must become less busy and use the extra time to hear God’s specific instructions.

Article One of the Constitution affords the legislative power to the Congress, made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
“The legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. Wikipedia
What does the legislative branch execute?
“They can declare wars, make laws, have the power to borrow money when they think it’s necessary, and they collect taxes.”
The executive branch, which is the White House, does not have the power to make or change the law.
I succinctly remember the White House amending Obama Care a number of times, inclusive of the 2015 delay to the Employer Mandate.
There have been a plethora of subsidies, and waivers realized by the White House to Obama care, all of them without Congressional approval, and thus prohibited by our Constitution.
In fact, Obama Care as is it was originally approved by the Congress is a very different law to what we see now
Yet the only thing that we hear from the White House is that the House of Representatives is keeping the country hostage.
It makes sense then that if the law has been altered by the White House in delaying the Employer Mandate, that at very least, the Individual Mandate would be delayed as well.
Should a law that has been so altered be obeyed?
Two suits are being leveled against Obama Care.
The links are at the bottom.
One is by a Florida dentist who charges that he the spent resources to comply with the Employer Mandate which then was illegitimately delayed by the White House.
He stipulates that monies which he expended could have been channeled somewhere else.
“I feel that he crossed the red line when he chose to waive the employer mandate. He generally rules by executive fiat, and he feels that he’s a Congress of one,” Larry Kawa, a Florida dentist, told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.
Kawa said the president doesn’t have the authority “to pick and choose which parts of the law he’s going to enforce for the sake of political convenience.”
The lawsuit — filed by Judicial Watch on Kawa’s behalf in the Southern District of Florida against the U.S. Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service — argues that the delay of the employer mandate “exceeded statutory authority, is arbitrary, capricious, and contrary to law, and is otherwise unlawful.”
At issue is whether the administration — by deciding on July 2 to postpone for one year the mandate for businesses with more than 50 employees — violated the Administrative Procedure Act, a 1946 statute which governs how federal agencies can establish regulations and sets up a process for federal courts to review agency decisions.
Kawa believes the administration did violate the APA. Furthermore, Kawa tells Newsmax, under Article II of the Constitution, the president has the “duty to enforce those laws and not only is he not enforcing them, but he’s changing them.”
According to the lawsuit, Kawa “expended substantial time and resources, including money spent on legal fees and other costs, in preparation for the ’employer mandate’ taking effect on Jan. 1, 2014” and that he “would not have expended resources and incurred these anticipatory costs in 2013” if he knew the mandate would take effect in 2015.” Newsmax
The second suit comes from Oklahoma. This one supports my premise. It deals with the IRS re interpretation of the law about subsidies, without Congressional approval.
If we are to begin somewhere, let it be by scrutinizing the numerous amendments, waivers and subsidies made by the White House to Obama Care, without Congressional approval.
America’s eyes are once again in the wrong place. When will she learn?
Charles Krauthammer’s comments are worthy of reading.
“President Obama indignantly insists that GOP attempts to abolish or amend Obama¬care are unseemly because it is “settled” law, having passed both houses of Congress, obtained his signature and passed muster with the Supreme Court.
Yes, settledness makes for a strong argument — except from a president whose administration has unilaterally changed Obama¬care five times after its passage, including, most brazenly, a year-long suspension of the employer mandate.
Article I of the Constitution grants the legislative power entirely to Congress. Under what constitutional principle has Obama unilaterally amended the law? Yet when the House of Representatives undertakes a constitutionally correct, i.e., legislative, procedure for suspending the other mandate— the individual mandate — this is portrayed as some extra-constitutional sabotage of the rule of law. Why is tying that amendment to a generalized spending bill an outrage, while unilateral amendment by the executive (with a Valerie Jarrett blog item for spin) is perfectly fine?”
The two suits.
