Church, Agendas, and Apostles

Agenda vs. the Holy Spirit

One must never be scared to turn over a meeting to the absolute control of the Holy Spirit.

He is the “time keeper par excellence.”

One can have agenda but hold it loosely in light of the Holy Spirit’s wishes.

Having an agenda and giving absolute control to the Holy Spirit should never be at odds. It’s not an “either or” proposition. It should be an “and.”

The church is shortsighted in keeping to agenda at the expense of giving the Holy Spirit second place.

This philosophy has placed the church in a weak position and made it religious and unappetizing.

The Holy Spirit is not religious. He is exciting. Man is religious.

Religion is man’s attempt to box the Holy Spirit because agenda is worshiped more than the Holy Spirit.

The need to hold on to agenda at the expense of the Holy Spirit’s wishes, is the need to control through fear. This fear can be the fear of failure.

Yet man has not learned that if he puts the Holy Spirit’s wishes before agenda, he will never fail, because God never fails.

It should always be, have an agenda, but put it second to the Holy Spirit’s wishes and be prepared to change it if He says to. This is a key to revival power.

 Apostles

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

An apostle is one who is sent out on a commission by another. The apostle himself is of no importance.

The only “Person of Interest” to the apostle is the Holy Spirit.

The mission of the master, who sent the apostle, and his precise representation of his master’s wishes, is the only thing which counts to the apostle.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

The apostle is an ambassador, because he comes as sent to represent another. Therefore, apostles are messengers with the full credentials, and authority, of their master. They function in God’s power

Luke 9: 1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Do you think that you may be an apostle?

There must passion to die with Christ on the cross so that the resurrection life of Christ can be visibly manifested through you. If you yearn to manifest the living Christ to others through death of yourself you may be an apostle.

Philippians 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body), whether it be by life, or by death.

The apostle Paul’s hunger was to make his life into a magnifying glass that would make Jesus Christ great.

2Cor 4:12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

The death of Christ is as an “energy dynamo” that is always at work .

We are always being handed over to death, so that the very life of Christ can be energized for the sakes of others. Most of us put limits on how far “God can take us”.

2Cor 13:4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

Is your passion to live solely by the power of the risen Christ within you? You may be an apostle.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

This is one of my favorite apostolic scriptures. Only the Christ formed in you, through death and resurrection has strength and power to accomplish anything of lasting value.

Is your desire to be so filled with Christ after failing countless times to accomplish anything by your own power? Have you discovered that only Christ manifested will give you the victory?

1Cor 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Listen to Paul’s wisdom.

2 Cor1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: (Literally Paul asks, “Am I going to save myself by earthly efforts? My answer is NO!! I MUST DIE!! ONLY IN CHRIST AND THROUGH CHRIST)

Church

The church depends on the apostles’ and prophets’ revelatory gifts to manifest Christ Jesus in His glory. A church can only build as effectively as the manifestation or revelation of Christ is within it! (Please remember that)

A healthy church must have a leadership inclusive of fivefold ministers.

Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Agenda and money alone will never create for a healthy church.

A church should have little to do with programs and outreaches which are not based on the strict directive of Christ Jesus.

A church has much to do in making the invisible Christ, visible, through the effective operation of His Body.

The very person of Jesus Christ filling, fulfilling, directing, governing, and speaking to and through a local church is the only thing that will last.

Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

Ephesians 2:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

What is the true purpose of a church?

Any local congregation is a manifestation of “The Body of Christ.”

Christ as the head needs a body which will complete Him, and give Him His fullness.

As we need Jesus Christ to complete us, so Christ is incomplete without the church.

If we go to church to listen to a sermon, we have missed the meaning of church.

If we have a pastor who is bent on running a “one-man show,” we have missed the meaning of church.

If we desire to be pew sitters, get fed by a message and go home, we have missed the meaning of church.

The purpose of a local congregation is to give a local representation of a visible Christ Jesus. This is the meaning of glorifying Christ.

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw (OR TUG) all men unto me.

The church does this by being His body, through the fulfillment of Spirit led ministries, activated through spiritual gifts which every member has been called to execute. There are no permanent pew sitters!

My Root Is The Christ

John 8:42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from( EK/ Out ) God; neither came I of myself (exclusive and independent self), but he sent me.

Greek: For I, out of the God came forth and am always in a state of arrival.

Greek: The apostle, or the one on an apostolic mission, is birthed from God and lives continuously out of God just as a tree must live out of its roots. Neither was Jesus apostolic mission from independent and selfish self.

The apostle lives out of the image of God as a tree lives out of its root.

Coming out of the God, means that my whole foundation, or who I am as to my nature, is God. This is what the Christian truly is.

Galatians 6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth (ischuo) any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Ischuo: Is inward, inherent or residing strength. Its static energy.  Only the image of Christ has ischuo. Thus only the new man, who is revealed by the cross of Christ, who is Christ in you, is of any strength.

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed (METAMORPHOSIED) by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Do not be configured to or assume the blueprint of this present and temporal eon but be metamorphosed by the development of an out of the box mind that thinks like Christ does.  Then and only then will you be able to test for yourself like you do a gem for acceptance or rejection what is that good, and acceptable and completed will of God.

Jesus never did or spoke anything, which originated from Himself. Everything He did, originated from the Father, and was revealed to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, Jesus never did anything that was exclusively His ideas, agenda or timetable.  Everything, which he planned and carried out, was inclusive of what the Father desired. This is the key to the anointing.

Finally every action, which He took, and every word, which He spoke, was in dependency to the workings of the Holy Spirit within Him.  The Lord Jesus never acted independently from the Father. This is the key to revival anointing.

The apostle has no ministry. His life is a product of God’s will, ways, and timetable. Since his ministry is to proclaim the patterns or blueprints which come out of God’s mysteries, God’s dispensations or His universal managements, and to reveal the Person of Christ to others,  his life must be a total display of these things. Hence the apostle has no real set ministry of His own. He simply does what He sees the father do.

Psalms 103:7  He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

To the one who is totally devoted to the Lord, He reveals His ways. To many others they will simply be able to see the works of the Lord.. Knowing the ways of God are more important than seeing His works.

John 7:17  If any man will do his will ( If any one out of His own will desires to do God’s will) he shall know of the doctrine(teaching), whether it be of God, or whether I speak of ( from the edge of; the idea of separation or departure from) myself.( exclusively and independently from myself as a source and from none other.)

“whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”

Whether out of the God my teaching is or I from myself as the source am prophetically speaking.

Jesus never did or spoke anything, which originated from Himself as the source. Everything He did, originated from the Father, and was revealed to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, Jesus never did anything that was exclusively His ideas, agenda or timetable.  Everything, which he planned and carried out, was inclusive of what the Father desired.

Finally every action, which He took, and every word, which He spoke, was in dependency to the workings of the Holy Spirit within Him.  The Lord Jesus never acted independently from the Father.

This was the key to the Lord’s supernatural faith and miracle working power. The fact that while on the earth, the Lord lived dependent, inclusive, and originated everything with the Father, shows us the depth of Jesus life in the world of the Holy Spirit.

This is what Jesus means when he tells us that He does nothing from Himself.

To the degree that we do not seek ourselves as the ones from whom anything originates, and then carry it out independently and exclusively from God, will automatically live in the teaching of the Father. This is the key to the anointing, to the breakthrough and to revival.

John 8:28  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he ( I am) , and that I do nothing of myself (and that I do nothing independently and exclusively from the Father); but as my Father hath taught me( but as the Father has instrumentally penetrated, affected, and influenced me, like brine solution) I speak these things (these things I utter, express, and speak prophetically back, by that divine influence which has permeated me and pickled me. )

“and that I do nothing of myself”  From myself I am doing not one thing.

This is the concept of baptism. Baptism is to be pickled.  This is the idea of a cucumber placed in a brine solution for up to six weeks. It is is baptized into the brine solution and is eventually pickled. This is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is why it’s essential for us to spend time in God’s presence.

“then shall ye know that I am he” That I Am.

The man or woman who lives in totally dependency to God reveals The I Am. In other words, I Am. My job is to simply reveal the Son of God who is The I Am. I have arrived. Nothing in me has to be changed. It’s all completed. I am free. I am the fullness of God. It’s not about becoming something else, but to reveal The I Am through me.  I Am, or better said, the One in me is the I Am. I have nothing else to do in this life but to reveal the One who lives as continually as The I Am. It’s all done.

John 6:57  As the living Father hath sent me ( Greek: apostolic sending), and I live by (THROUGH) the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

The one chewing or masticating on me, also that one shall be living through me.

There is no cheap grace message here. This verse talks about our ever consuming of the Jesus in us and being consumed by Him.

Greek:  The apostle or the one sent on an apostolic mission lives moment to moment through (INSTRUMENTALITY) the Father, who does the works.

2Cor 4:12  So then death worketh (ENERGIZED) (PRESENT MIDDLE INDICATIVE) in us, but life in you.

The death of Christ is as an “energy dynamo” within us that never ceases but always works.  We are always being handed over to death, so that the very life of Christ can be like wised energized for the sakes of others.  Most of us put limits on how far “God can take us.

This energy dynamo is found in our embrace of the cross of Christ.  Every time that we obey the voice of the Holy Spirit, the cross works to kill our selfish self and reveal the Christ. The purpose of grace is for us to progressively embrace the cross more and more, not as a license to do as we please.

This is why even if the message of hell is not forever would be true, it’s extremely dangerous for it produces believers who are weak and uncommitted in this life.

The Church’s Most Important Truth

“The One Most Important Truth for the Christian Believer”

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

“And Preached Christ Unto Them.”

Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Acts 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

· After I got saved in 1979, I used to be troubled by scriptures such as the ones above. These scriptures illustrate for us some of the evangelistic efforts under the ministry of Phillip, the evangelist. I could not figure out why, and how, Phillip could possible preach a person instead of preaching about things.

For me, Christianity was all about my relationship with Christ, and how He could impart eternal life, and innumerable amounts of benefits and blessings to me, and to a dying world. How can you preach a person anyways?

It was not until the Lord brought me in contact with the teachings of the great Chinese apostle and martyr Watchman Nee, did I began to understand why Phillip and others in the New Testament preached a person named Jesus Christ

I have to come to realize in my twenty-one years as a believer, that Christianity has little do with blessings, miracles, and all that we can get out of God. By itself, these things are not wrong! As a matter of fact, the Lord commands us to take all of our requests to Him. However, if your Christianity goes only as far as having a give and take relationship with the Lord, where the focus is to get your prayers answered, obtain blessings, and believe God for miracles, you will be miss out on most of what God has for you. I give you my word; you will be eating spiritual ground beef for your whole life, as an earthly believer, instead of the filet mignon and lobster that God is so desirous to feed you with.

Today I want to teach you the most important truth that you will ever learn as a Christian. Most believers, and most churches, never understand this truth, though the New Testament over and over teaches on it. Hence the great weakness, the inability to overcome sin, the powerlessness over the lies of Satan, and the helplessness to be freed from the love of the world, continues to be found in countless believers throughout the centuries.

The truth is that Christianity has little to with our obtaining of blessings, miracles, and answered requests. CHRISTIANITY COMPLETELY HINGES UPON AND HAS ALL TO DO WITH THE REVELATION OF THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST, OR THE FAILURE THEREOF. OUR PERSONAL SUCCESS, AND THE SUCCESS OF OUR CHURCHES AS BELIEVERS, IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO HOW MUCH THE PERSON OF CHRIST IS REVEALED!

· As you shall see, Satan has successfully deceived the church in part, to divert it from understanding and valuing the supreme importance of the revelation of the Son of God in its midst. The fault is mainly ours! Our obedience to God is shallow, compromised, and limited; our knowledge of the Word of God is poor at best.

Secondly, we have been deceived to allow the second most important truth in Christianity to slip right through our hands!

THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT TRUTH IN ALL OF CHRISTIANITY IS THAT THE UNDERSTANDING OF, AND THE EMBRACING OF THE CROSS-OF CHRIST, IS GOD’S ONE AND ONLY MEANS TO REVEAL THE PERSON OF CHRIST!

Do we ever hear in our churches about the preaching and revelation of the person of Christ? We instead are being made aware about prosperity, being blessed, getting a miracle and so forth. Lesser still, do you ever hear about the preaching of the cross of Christ? Do you understand the cross?

· We have indeed put the chicken before the egg. Everything that we seek as believers today must come out of a personal revelation of the Person of Christ, and our understanding and embracing of His cross.

· We are doing things backwards. We are asking God to bless us, and to perform all of these great miracles in our lives. Yet we remain, and shall remain in bondage, hurt, sin, and godly powerlessness, unless we understand and implement these two supreme truths into our lives.

·Let us study, learn, and become truly free, shall we?

Christ is God’s Treasure Chest

· Let us begin our study by observing the following scriptures found in Colossians and in Ephesians. In Colossians we discover that inside of Christ are hidden treasures. In Ephesians we find that Christ contains riches. It sounds like if Christ is a treasure chest, doesn’t it?

Col 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

· So if Christ is indeed a treasure chest then He must contain treasures INSIDE OF HIM, correct? What kind of treasures can we expect to find inside of Him or “In Him?” Let’s look at a few of them together.

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto( INTO) himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

God the Father will reconcile and harmonize the universe into Christ, at His appointed time.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Every last and tiniest “God given” blessing resides inside the Person of Christ.

Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

The fullness of the Trinity dwells inside the Person of Christ

Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Inside of Christ resides all accomplished victory, and hence all rightful authority over all the demonic, earthly, and angelic hierarchy of leadership. Christ also has that same authority over “ every name that is named”. Therefore, this includes the name of sickness, circumstances, and so forth, for all eternity.

So where does this “Christ laden with treasures inside of Him” live? He lives inside of us, right? Would it be a safe bet for us to say then, that we not only possess Christ, but we possess these immense and invaluable treasures, inside of us too? Wow!

This is the one thing devil is absolutely terrified of, and he does a good job keep the church’s’ attention diverted from this.

How Does the Church Really Operate?

Let us suppose that you and your family go on vacation to a beautiful secluded island on the Caribbean. One morning, as you meandered through the ivory color sands, a dark corner of barely protruding object suddenly grabs you attention. Totally shocked, you uncover a rusty treasure chest hidden by English pirates of old as they had fled from their enemies, the Spaniards.

To compound your amazement, when you finally break open the chest you find it laden and overflowing with pounds and pounds of gold and silver bars and trinkets, precious gems, brilliant stones, huge diamonds, superb rubies, exquisite rings, brooches, precious coins and so forth.

Let me ask you one simple question. Is it more logical to have you and your sons close and secure the chest, grab it by each of its handle and wheel it home laden with all of it bounty so that you can forever enjoy it and use it as you have need? That is one alternative!

However, you chose to sit for hours under the broiling sun of the cloudless Caribbean skies, and laboriously search through the chest for certain items of jewelry that your family deemed necessary. You dig and pull out the jewelry, breaking your fingernails and cutting your hands, and finally quit the process totally exhausted. In a deep frustration and an awful consumption of time, your family finds the fifteen or twenty pieces that they need. You then leave the treasure chest still have buried in the sand, still nearly full with hundreds pieces of jewelry now discarded around it, book a passage on a local sea plane, and go home.

We would have to agree that this family acted it in total ignorance and foolishness! Yet this is a perfect description of the church, and its relationship and depth of understanding to the Lord Jesus.

It Is Not “Where is The Beef”, But “Where Is The Treasure?”

Inside the Person of Christ dwells as we have seen, all of who God is, all of what God wants, and all that God possesses for this word and for the next. Here is the key to the puzzle! When Christ is revealed or manifested in us, all the treasures within or inside of Him will be manifested along with Him. The more revelation of the Son of God, the more will be the revelation of all that dwells IN HIM. It is an automatic reality.

The secret to the manifestation or revelation of the Son of God in our lives has to do with our uncompromising obedience. The more that we obey God, the more that Jesus Christ living in us will become revealed or manifested in our spirits or hearts. The less that we obey God, the less will be the manifestation of the Son of God in our lives. It is that simple!

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

(Today, we cannot cover in this lesson how the Lord becomes manifested in our lives. We shall study this in later teachings.

Remember; God has not given to us things! God has given us a Person, His Son! This is a very important point!

We are always asking God for things. God in turn wants to reveal His Son to us who CONTAINS ALL THINGS!

Heb 1:1  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Heb 1:2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

CHRIST IS GOD’S POWER!

1Co 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

With this foundation in place we can start to partake and enjoy of the goodness of God when He gave us this one thing, His Son. Let us begin by understanding, that when we ask God to give us His power, in reality we are asking amiss. He has given us His Son! Look with me at the scripture above please. Jesus is the power of God. Therefore when He is revealed in our lives, God’s power is revealed with Him, in Him, or along with Him. The more that Christ is revealed in our lives, the more that we will automatically work in the power of God. We don’t need power; we need the Son of God to become a reality to us and the power will be ours!

CHRIST IS GOD’S SPIRITUAL GIFTS, CALLINGS, AND MINISTRIES

1 Cor 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by (By or In Him) him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

1Co 1:6 Even as the testimony (the revelation) of Christ was confirmed in you:

1Co 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming (The revelation) of our Lord Jesus Christ

Re 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony (The revelation) of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy

Please look with me at the scriptures contained in 1 Corinthians 1:5,6 and 7. In verse five it tells us that “by Christ” and “In Christ” (The Greek grammatical structure is interchangeable here), we are made rich in spiritual gifts. Two of the gifts mentioned in this passage could be the utterance gifts, which could include tongues, their interpretation, and the gift of prophecy. The other is the gift of the word of knowledge, which God uses extensively in healing. Verse six goes on to direct us to the fact, that the enrichment or increase of these spiritual gifts in a believer’s life is directly proportional to the revelation of Christ within him or her. Right? Verse seven instructs us that if the revelation of the Lord is complete in our life, we will lack in no spiritual gift. Therefore, the more that Christ is revealed in our lives, the more that we will automatically flow in the gifts and ministries that God has called us to. The gifts are IN HIM. As Christ is revealed, the gifts IN HIM will be automatically revealed along with Him.

Now please look with me at Revelation 19:10. Please be careful to see with me that Jesus does not give us prophecies per se. Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy! Therefore, the more that Jesus is manifested in our lives, the more that we shall automatically flow in prophecy! Let’s look at one last one.

Christ is God’s Righteousness, God’s Redemption, and God’s Sanctification.

1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

In Corinthians 1:30 we see that Christ has been made into righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. Christ does not dispense these blessings! He Himself is the blessings! If we ask God to make us righteous, are prayers will be only halfway answered. If we ask God to sanctify us, we have missed God’s best.

God’s righteousness has to do with the manifested or outward qualities of God that originate from His inward holy character.

Sanctification is defined as the progression of our being purified by the Spirit of God.

Redemption has to do with the process of our being rescued from the power of Satan, bondage, sin, and the love of the world.

Christ does not produce these things in us as separate blessings. He has been made into these attributes. As Christ becomes revealed within our lives, God’s righteousness becomes more and more of a reality in us. It is automatic! As Christ becomes more discernible in us, we automatically find ourselves more and more free from sin, bondage and the schemes of the enemy. I know that I am redundant, but this is so important!

“And Ye In Me, and I in You”
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Let us end our study today by observing what it says in John fourteen and twenty. The “YE IN ME” has to with our uncompromising obedience to the Lord. If we love the Lord with all of our hearts, we shall want to obey Him. If we obey Him, He will manifest Himself to us, as I said early.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Christ’s manifestation in you will also manifest along with Him, all of God treasures, which live in Him; we have talked about already. This is now the “I IN YOU”; Christ, and all that He has and is, becomes automatically assimilated in us by revelation. In other words His reality becomes our reality. The revelation of the Son of God in us becomes assimilation, and assimilation becomes reality, and with Him comes our assimilation of all of God’s inheritance.

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

For Your Eyes Only

Re 1:8  “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Re 4:8   The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”

Re 11:17  saying: “We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was; because you have taken your great power, and reigned.

Re 19:6  I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns!

Re 19:15  Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

The term Almighty is derived from two Greek words, “All dominion or all dominating.”

Dominion is the power or right of governing and controlling; it is the privilege of  a sovereign;  one who governs, dominates, and rules.

God, as the Almighty dominates, and controls every aspect, and in all things which are not of Him.

This then is the identity of the Christian.  She has been given a co sitting on the throne of Christ.  From this sitting position she exercises authority and faith over the works of God.

The identity of the Christian is the identity of a king. The old identity of who she was is long gone, buried, decomposed, becoming one with the dust, and obliterated out of sight.

The identity of the Christian is one who is an almighty or an all dominating.

The believer is not the Almighty.  Because Christ is her identity, however, she is an almighty over the works of God by the voice of the Spirit in her.

Ge 41:37  The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

Pr 20:8 A king who sits on the throne of judgment scatters away all evil with his eyes.

1Ch 21:23  Ornan said to David, “Take it for yourself, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes. Behold, I give the oxen for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meal offering. I give it all.”

2Ch 14:2  Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of Yahweh his God:

A king does what seems good in his eyes.

A king administers dominion with the shifts in the look of the eyes.

Do we decree with our eyes, and it’s done?

Our eyes have become Jesus’s eyes. Our authority is Jesus ability.

Can we scatter evil with the look of our eyes? Do we beckon the good with a glance of the eyes? Do we pronounce a verdict of judgment on the evil with a piercing gaze of the eyes?

Re 1:14  His head and his hair were white as white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.

Re 2:18 To the angel of the assembly in Thyatira write: The Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like burnished brass, says these things:

Re 19:12  His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself.

This is Christ’s identity. This is our identity.

A king can simply rule with his eyes. This is the definition of real authority.

This is for your eyes only, if you have the eyes of Almighty Jesus.

The U.S.A. Eagerly Awaits The Revelation of the Children of God

I propose that where East Africa is under a stronghold of poverty, America is under a stronghold of distraction brought on by a need for self-entertainment.  This self-entertainment is search for happiness that can only be found in God.  The former craze for Harry Potter was a craving for the supernatural, which God has naturally put in the heart of everyone. I mean, Jesus Christ, is the most supernatural being in the universe.  Hello!

In part, the church has failed to show this to America. I am guilty myself.

We Christians needs to be so God absorbed, so God impassioned, healed, and liberated, that Christ becomes excessive through our lives, drawing people to Him. He is the most lovely and delightful of all Beings! If people would only know. That’s the job of the church, to present Him as all-powerful, wonderful, and charming.

Rom 8:19  For the creation ( America) waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

I propose to the church then, that America is aching to see the reality of the resurrected and all-powerful, all magnificent, and all beautiful Christ Jesus through the life of the believer.  Unless, we the church become intently fixated upon God, engrossed and obsessed with Him, this will not happen. The price of having Christ magnified, liberated, and resurrected through our lives, will cost the Christian everything. It’s the hardest thing, but equally the most amazingly fantastic.

Who will step up to the plate and do this, when humanity has so very, very, few good leaders to emulate and such a desperation for good role models, Christ Jesus being the maximum one.

A Friday Morning Exposition On Galatians

Gal 1:1   Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead ( a corpse),

Who roused Him out a corpse. To experience the fullness of God giving life to your mortal body, you must enter into the reality that you are but a corpse.

This is the place where only the Person of Christ is evident. The reality of you as you, one day is not there.  From here, God can fully resurrect you.

This takes years but it’s the most blessed point to get to. Without a renewed mind by the study of the Word, this is an impossibility.

2  and all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies  (the out called) of Galatia:

Assemblies or churches. Literally the “out called” or the “called out ones” by God, from the world system, to fulfill His eternal purposes.

3  Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,

Grace is God’s superhuman labor.

Peace,  is shalom peace or the state of wellness which God’s superhuman labor brings. Christ labors to always bring shalom.

Not I working, but Christ superhumanly working through me and I a co laborer with that superhuman grace. Immediately Paul bring it to Christ and His labor in us.

10  But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Much of the “grace message” is messed up. Yes, we are saved by grace and work by grace. God wants to always give us grace. But true grace is God’s superhuman labor. The more we die to our labor, the more we experience God’s grace.

To experience the superhuman labor of God you must die to you your own fleshly labor. To enter into the realism of God’s grace energized through you, there must be an experience of your own labor put to death.  This takes great commitment to God. Grace is free but not cheap. Beware of those who talk of God’s grace without the price of obedience to walk in it. This produces wimpy and weak Christians. It’s a ploy of the devil, in the same way that Rob Bell’s message that God will rescue all from hell is.

Ga 1:4  Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver ( subjunctive) “exaireoo” us from this present (enistemi) evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Mt 5:29  And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck “ exaireoo” it out “ exaireoo”, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Mt 18:9  And if thine eye offend thee, pluck “ exaireoo”  it out “ exaireoo”, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

That He might deliver us; “Exaireoo” is to pluck out.

There are different forms of deliverance. Plucking out from evil circumstances is one .  God has the power to pluck us out from this evil world system.  For “this present evil world”,  Paul uses “ enhistemi”, or something that is “in standing” or better yet, “having stood’

Very well does Paul know that our world system has stood and will continue to stand until Christ changes it. We cannot change the world system. We can affect it with revival.  Yet, it is a fallen system of sin. This is why it stands or is presently “having stood” as fallen. There is but one remedy,  to be plucked out of it and transferred into God’s kingdom.

Adeptly, Paul uses the subjunctive mood, or the one which is conditional on the choice of man’s  free will. Christ desires to always pluck out. Many will not be however. Much of the degree of sanctifying salvation is conditional, as an act out our free will through obedience.

Gal 1:11  But I certify you, brethren that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.(not according to humanity).

Better said; not according to humanity, or the philosophies of this word system. Philosophies are the affectionate love of differing types of wisdom. There is only one genuine wisdom, the one according to Christ.

Christian, beware that you do not embrace the philo (affectionate love) sophias (wisdom) of this world. There is only One Wisdom. This wisdom is the revealed Person of Christ. God says that Christ Has Been Made Into Wisdom.

1 Cor 1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Cor 1:30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Gal 1:12  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The wisdom of God comes through revelation knowledge, or the spirit of revelation. We teach that the most important prayer is that of revelation. This prayer requires that you speak little and listen much to God.

God speaks to us by wisdom.  Wisdom, are the blueprints or patterns of God, or the revelation of His mysteries. It’s essential that man hears daily the still small voice of God who speaks and reveals His mysteries.

Only our obeying the revealed mysteries of God will grant us success. The revelation of God’s mysteries establishes the church.

Rom 16:25   Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Did you see the order? The church is established according to the preaching of the Person of Christ who is revealed from a mystery. The more the revelations of God’s mysteries, the more the establishment of the church.

Gal 1:14  And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous “more exceedingly or excessively a boiler” of the traditions of my fathers.

Interesting use of the Greek “exceedingly zealous”: “More exceedingly or excessively a boiler”, or one who is boiling with zeal and passion.

15  But when it pleased God, who separated me “ roped me off” from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

“Separated me”; The one who defined me, roped me off, set a boundary around me, or fenced me to Himself and separated me from the world,” from the time of  my being in my  mothers’ womb.

16  To reveal ”uncover” his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Literally: To uncover His Son in me.

This is the crux of Christianity. Full revelation of the Son cannot occur, until we experience death to who we are as to our pre Christ identity. As long as the I is me and the I is not Christ, both identities become muddled in us. We work and Christ works. There are two people competing. Full resurrection is the privilege of those who are fully dead.

Christ truly works within us when we truly experience the reality that we are a corpse. Christ is the one who raises, He is the one who works. As long as we are alive and work in our own strength, Christ cannot fully reveal Himself .

Paul never preaches about things. This is a devastating mistake in many churches. Paul preaches a Person. His want is to always reveal that Person, Christ, who dwells in a mystery within him.

The purpose if the church is to show this Person. Unfortunately, in many ways, the church has missed this with crushing results for humanity.

God still looks for Christians whose focus is to reveal the Person of Christ.

Col 4:3  Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

Paul asks for prayer that He could reveal the Person of Christ from a mystery form

Gal 2;2  And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

Once again, Paul ministers not from “well thought out programs”, or ideas, but through revelation knowledge of God’s mysteries.

Gal 2:8  (For he that wrought effectually (energized) in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty  (energized)  in me toward the Gentiles:)

The one, who effectively energized in Peter, energized in Paul to his apostleship. The one who energized in Paul energizes in you and me to our apostleship. God is not partial. He energizes in you and me as effectively as He energized in and Moses. It’s a matter of how much we allow Him to. Are you as surrendered and humble as Moses and Paul? I know that I am not, but am I am pressing in.

The energizing of God is not just for our sakes but for that of of others. We will never sense the full energizing of God if we are not “others minded”.

9  And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived ”ginosko” the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

Perceived is  ginosko, or the Spanish word conocer. This is progressive knowledge or knowledge birthed by relationship or the progression of time. The superhuman labor of God is known progressively and by intimacy with God.

11  But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face ( according to face), because he was to be blamed.

Gossip and slander is evil because it’s done behind the face of someone else. If you have a problem with somebody solve it according to his face and not according to his back.

Have a great Friday everybody!

The Bride of Christ

This teaching written ten years ago.

Apostles and Prophets

1 Corinthians 12:28  And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles,  then gifts of healings, helps,(“ taking up the cause”; to aid) governments, diversities of tongues.

The NT Church must have an apostolic and prophetic emphasis or mantle. This is because apostles and prophets are foundation layers in the church.

Eph 2:19  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

Ephesians   2:20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Foundation consisting in the apostles and prophets; Greek case of location: the building up of the church occurs IN what the apostles and prophets lay. The senior pastor must  have an apostolic mantle. The leadership staff must have an apostolic and prophetic vision of their local body.

This foundation, being the person of Christ revealed, to a specific local body through the logos and rhema word.  His direction, His will, wisdom, gifts, power.

Heb 11:10  For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder(technician, designer, architect or craftsman)and maker(worker for the masses; the one who does the physical construction) is God.

1Co 3:10  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise ( SOPHOS or one who builds by the patterns of God coming out of mysteries) masterbuilder (architect), I have laid ( I have established and fixed in place) (PERFECT TENSE)  the foundation, and another buildeth( CONTINUALLY BUILDS UPON IT) thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Re 21:14  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

The article (“The) not before prophets shows that apostles and prophets are of the same kind of people.

2Pe 3:2  That ye may be mindful of the( RHEMA) words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

We see another reason apostles and prophets are of vital importance to a local congregation.  Both, as we have said, are called to reveal the Person of Christ.  In Second Peter three and two, the emphasis is on the rhema words of the prophets and the commandments of the apostles. The revelation of the Person of Christ, through the mouths of prophets, is more geared in realm of the progression of time.  The prophet reveals Christ and His purposes in the local body from moment to moment as the circumstances and the affairs of the church call for it.

The prophet also supplies direction, vision, and guidance for a local body.

The apostolic ministers reveal the Person of Christ, in relationship to the foundation of the written word.

The NT church is the Bride of Christ.

The preparation of the Bride of Christ will usher in His Second Coming.

Rev 19:7  (AV) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (Aorist active Indicative) Tense of absolute completion

The NT is God’s Receptacle or Funneling Ground where He Funnels all that He is and Has

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us  (Greek accusative case ; to funnel into) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us (Greek accusative case; to funnel into) in all wisdom and prudence;

God funnels all into the church by means of His riches.

The riches are in a mystery form inside of Christ. As Christ is revealed, these riches are revealed along with Him. The revealed Christ becomes the foundation of the local church upon where it builds upon.

His riches then are known instrumentally by the church, and are located within the church itself.

The revealed Christ becomes the object of the church.  The church grows into Christ in all things. This is the internal growth of the church.

Many churches  grows up into things; blessings, prosperity, programs.  Its growth is lopsided.

Joh 12:32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

The external growth of the church is to thrust or propel Christ in His invisible riches outside of the church via spiritual gifts as visible glory. The church then becomes a center of revival in the community where it is placed.

The church is transformed as it sees the revealed  man of the Spirit, Christ Jesus in its midst.

The world is transformed as it sees the revealed spiritual man Christ Jesus in the church. This is revival.

The NT Church is the Fullness of God  (The Store House of God’s Invisible Riches located in Mysteries Within the Church which make up the Person of Christ)

Eph 1:22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness  of Christ:

Fullness: What is the Coca Cola?  Is it the bottle, or is it the liquid inside of it?  It is that brown, sweet, delightful liquid that we gulp down and enjoy.  So what is this fluid called Coca Cola made of?  It is made up of every ingredient that is perfectly mixed in its required quantities and precise order, to lawfully recognize and labeled it as this reality that is Coca Cola. This is the fullness of Coca Cola!  The fullness of Coca Cola is the very essence and nature of this liquid, which makes it to be Coca Cola and nothing else.

Mysteries are the doctrines of God’s patterns, blueprints and administrations of His kingdom, will, and counsels.  They are also the Christ and the riches, blessings, and treasures, of God deposited inside of Him.

They are manifested through revelation knowledge, and glorify or make God visible.

God has deposited IN THIS MYSTERY FORM, His fullness, or His inheritance within the realm or sphere of His saints.

The fullness of God is the revealed Christ.

The Mode of God’s Fullness

Through revelation knowledge this inheritance becomes revealed and becomes one of God’s riches within us. The revelation of a mystery is our understanding of a portion of God’s inheritance. The church manifests the invisible riches of God into the external world through spiritual gifts, making any one of His riches visible in the mode of glory.

God has funneled all the riches of his grace into the church, and then makes known and manifests this mystery through the church so that the fullness of the God’s glory may be manifested through the church by spiritual gifts and ministries as glory.

Praise is produced through mankind back to God as His the glory manifested through the saints.

Glory is the God’s mode to make His riches becoming visible.

1 Cor 12:6  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

Different riches are manifested through the different operations of God.  Operations are effective displays of God’s power through the believer to effectively transfer the riches from inside the believer to the external world in accordance to the specific ministerial circumstances.

The transferred riches, which inside the believer were part of God’s inheritance in a mystery form, now empowered externally by the operations of God are made visible as the glory of God.

The NT Church Is Fitly Joined Together (Setting the Fullness of God in the Proper Place in the Church)

1Pe 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Eph 1:21  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple( Holy of Holies) in the Lord:

22  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

“Fitly framed together” pertains to the placing the people of the church where they belong as to their charismatic gifts, callings and ministries, just as rooms and furniture are placed where they belong in a building.

The church is built-up through the use of spiritual gifts, ministries, and callings. To “fitly frame together” is the effective operations of all ministries by all members within a local assembly.

Joining, cementing, and fitting together to form a building must take place, so that the building can then be raised up.  The joining, cementing and fitting of believers must likewise take place.

The fitly framed people become the fitly framed building that grows unto a The Holy of Holies of the Lord.

Ephesians 4:16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working (Energy) in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The church grows as each member within the local body supplies his or her part in accordance to the spiritual gifts and ministries, which the Lord has given to each of them.  “Every joint supplieth.”

By every joint (believer) yielding nourishment and working to its ( his or her)  peak  spiritual performance, and by means of every contact, furnished by every believer, this supplies the body of the knowledge of the revealed Christ.

“Every joint of supply” “To supply” is defined as furnishing a chorus liberally with all that it needs. Every joint of supply is each member of a local body as he or she effectively supplies the revelation of the Son of God through their ministries to manifest the Spirit.

EVERY” parishioner has the responsibility to work within a congregation at his or her “PEAK LEVEL OF SPIRIT LED PERFORMANCE”.  This requires uncompromising obedience to God, and dedication to the local body

According to the working in due measure of each several part .  Greek paraphrase: The revelation of Christ is limited to the energy (that will make His revelation fully operational) put forth by the measure and quality of the “measure of supply” through the parishioners’ charismatic ministries.

Philemon 1:6  That the communication of thy faith may become effectual(energized) by the acknowledging( full and precise knowledge) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

The  NT Church Must be Knit Together (Revealing the Fullness of God Inside the Church)

Col 2:2  That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement( full and precise knowledge) of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.

The knitting together comes as the members of the local church are “fitly framed together” into a proper building for the Lord through the ministries and callings of every person.

Christ then will be revealed in the church through the ministries of the congregation, and will bring the local body into the spiritual riches that are created  by the confidence of  fully understanding of the correct revelation of Christ.  This is the full assurance of understanding

The revealed Person of Christ is whom the church grows internally into all things.

The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ allows for an assembly to grow up into Him in all things.  The revealed Person of Christ becomes its model, pattern, or example.  Growing up into Christ allows the saints within the church to achieve the same maturity that Christ has in the very thing that they grow fully into Him in.  The church is the only institution that allows for people to grow fully in to Christ in all things.  Growing up into our example makes us like our example.

The revealed Person of Christ within the church is then propelled outside the church via spiritual gifts as visible glory. This is the Christ that will draw all men unto Himself. This is revival.

God’s Apple Pie

Do you remember in elementary school  teachers using the example of an apple pie cut into eight pieces?  They would use this to help us comprehend fractions.  Every piece of the sliced pie would now become 1/8 of the pie.  Four pieces would be equal ½; seven pieces would be 7/8; and the eight pieces together would make the whole of the pie.

The fullness of the Lord and His manifested glory in just the same way.  The church is the apple pie.  If only one member of the church displays the fullness of the Lord, the assembly will manifest only 1/8 of his glory.   If half of church’s members are holding to their responsibility to be filled with the Spirit, that local body will manifest 1/2 of God’s glory.  Displaying the fullness of the Lord takes the active participation of every member in a local body.

Many of our present church models and strategies are incorrect in that they encourage many to become pew sitters, and very few to participate and minister.  Truly then, only a small fraction of the Lord’s glory is displayed in our local assemblies.

The Fellowship of the Mystery: (God Calls His Church Out of His Glory to Participate in His Gifts, Ministries and Callings)

Exodus 16:10  And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.

11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Numb 20:6  And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.

7  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

God speaks to His people out of His glory

Eph 3:8  Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Out of His Glory, as the revealed Person of Christ is manifested through the fitly joining together and knitting together of the church, God speaks to His church and calls it into participation with Him whether it be into deliverance, revelation of gifts or life time callings.  This is the fellowship of the mystery.

The more revelation, the more will be the fellowship of the mystery and the greater will be the participation of the congregation in the glory of God via spiritual

The NT Church is a Man; The Man Christ Jesus

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The church becomes THE MAN Christ Jesus, which internally the church grows into in all things, and externally in the world draws all people unto THE MAN, Christ Jesus. The church as a full-grown man can fully bring forth the glory of God and subsequent revival.

Joh 12:32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me

Understanding the Energy and Power of God Available to us to propel the Fullness of God Revealed Christ (GLORY) into the World by the Church:

REVIVAL!!!

Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Wisdom – the revealed will of God as a blueprint or pattern coming out of a mystery.

Prudence- Executing that will step by step by the voice of the Spirit

1Co 12:11  But all these worketh (energizes) that one and the selfsame Spirit, (Spirit led works) dividing to every man severally as he will. (as he counsels)

Eph 3:7  (AV) Whereof I was made a minister (a minister ministering in spiritual gifts), according to the gift of the grace (labor) of God given unto me by the effectual working (energy) of his power.

Phillip 2:13  (AV) For it is God which worketh (is energizing) in you both to will and to do (energize) of his good pleasure.

Ephesians 4:16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working (Energy) in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Spiritual Gifts: (God’s Manifested Operations)

The Avenue to Propel The Riches of God Outside the Church

I Cor 12:4  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

1 Cor 12:6  (AV) And there are diversities of operations (the end product of what God energized), but it is the same God which worketh (energizing) all in all.

1 Cor 12:10  (AV) To another the working(the end product of what God energized) of miracles ( dunamis powers); to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

The saints are the element in which God’s riches are deposited, energized, and made known as riches in the mode of glory.

The transferred riches, which inside the believer were part of God’s inheritance, now empowered externally by the operations of God are made visible as the glory of God.

Praise is produced through mankind back to God as the glory is manifested through the saints.  Glory is God’s mode to make His riches becoming visible. The final purpose and calling of the church is to make God and His riches visible.

Different riches are manifested through the different operations of God.  Operations are effective displays of God’s power through the believer to effectively transfer the riches from inside the believer to the external world in accordance to the specific ministerial circumstances. These operations are what energize spiritual gifts.

The invisible works of the kingdom become visible through the spiritual gifts.

The charismatic gifts, and the signs and the wonders, are the outward display of the energy that Christ puts forth or releases as He labors within us (GRACE).  They are displayed as operations.  Charismatic gifts, and signs and wonders are the totally effective and fully operational works of the invisible kingdom.

What makes them fully operational is that through the energizing power of God they carry out in our physical world what God intended for them to perform and what they were already in the invisible supernatural world.

The Small Groups Model: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER!!

Romans 16:5  Likewise greet the church that is in their  house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

1 Corinthians 16:19  The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

Colossians 4:15  Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house

Philemon 1:2  And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house

In these meetings, spiritual gifts are discovered. Spiritual gifts inventories can be used to discover gifts.

People also become set free through personal ministry.

In these meetings the church becomes fitly joined together.

People have an opportunity to use their gifts and develop their ministries.

As these groups become fitly joined together, then they become knit together unto the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.

Christ becomes revealed and the parishioners begin to grow into the revealed Person of Christ.

This revelation of Christ is then thrust out by the power of God via spiritual gifts as His glory into the community.  This is the definition of revival.

The Sign Of The Apostle

Acts 4:32  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33  And with great power gave ( apodidomi) the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

An apostle gives witness of the resurrection of the risen Christ.

The apostle gives back the witness of the resurrection as something that is his obligation or duty. The Greek word is apodidomi.  It is defined as paying back a debt an obligation or an oath. Between married couples it’s the fulfillment of conjugal duties.

Many want to be called apostles, but are they, broken, humbled and dead to self so that Christ can be magnified through them?

2Co 13:4  For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall  live with him by the power of God toward you.

The apostle lives from the dunamis power of God as a tree lived from its roots.

Dunamis power is power in ability. For someone to live, not from his own power, but from another’s, a deep work must occur. Trust in one’s ability and confidence must be broken. Because, dunamis power, is power in ability, an apostle’s ability, has been taken to the cross.  He now lives from the ability of God.

Acts 6:10  And they were not able ( ischus) to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

The opponents of God had absolutely no inward strength of spirit to take a stand against  Steven.  This is the resurrection power abiding in the apostle.

Ischus, is resident, indwelling or inherent power. God works out of ischus, which manifests as dominion. Is your own inherent power and confidence taken to the cross and now the resident power of another, mainly God, dwells in you?

Acts 9:22  But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

Saul, later Paul, was more and more filled with God’s power and was continuously strengthened. (Imperfect tense or continual action.)

Saul was continually energized in God’s ability.

He threw into disorder and the perplexing of mind the enemies of God through the display of God’s power.

The apostle has his roots deeply in God’s power. He has recognized his weakness and inability.

Acts 6:4  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

It is not pleasant or agreeable that we would leave, abandon or forsake the word of God.

Greek: “Never pleasing it is for us to leave the word.  But we to the office of prayer and the word will be constantly devoted.  It is not fitting that we hold or neglect the word of God, to occupy ourselves with the distribution of food.”

Daily time in prayer and the Word is indispensible to the apostle. God is not a Facebook God. By that I mean, God does use Facebook, but not its shortcuts. Better said, God is not a God of shortcuts. We live in shortcut society, but God is not like that. Do you want a shortcut relationship with the Living God?

Acts 5:28  Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God and not men.

To be persuaded to obey God as ruler than to submit to an earthly authority.  It is the necessity in this case, or necessary, that we obey God and not men.

God is not politically correct. A politically correct world fears man and his opinions. The Christian must never fall into the fear or man, but stand up for what is right in God’s eyes.

1 Cor 4:9  For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

The apostle becomes a man exhibited, or to be gazed at.

10  We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

We are buck heads, called stupid for Christ’s sake.  We are strength less, impotent.

You have ischus or inner confidence.  We are base or of little esteem and without honor.

11  Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;

12  And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

13  Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

God has exhibited, showed off, and exposed to view.

We are maltreated.  We are dirt rubbed off, or the rinsing off of dirty dishes.

We are fools for Christ; we are frail and infirm; we are those whom no one respects; we are hungry, we are scantily clothed; we are maltreated; we have no fixed home, and we labor to the point of exhaustion.

1 Cor 15: 30  And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

31  I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily

Be in danger and put in peril.  “Living dangerously as I do.”

Or living my life for the Lord in such a way that I am put in peril every hour.

2 Cor 1:8  For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

Excessively we were burdened beyond our power. We have to depend daily on God’s power and provision.

To be pressed out of measure: It is a throwing beyond magnitude. The Greek says that according to a hyper state Paul was burdened.  Anything that is hyper is excessive, off the charts, and moves fast. The trials of the apostle are hyper so that his whole trust becomes centered on the Lord and not his.

We were utterly at loss, destitute of measures and resources. Once again, she who will display God’s resurrection life is brought to destitution of earthly measures and resources, so that the work, the resources and the glory will be God’s.

9  But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead ( corpses)

Whether on asking myself, should I die or whether I should come out of mortal peril, I  had to answer, “I must die”.  This is the Greek definition of the sentence of death. It is a judicial sentence of death and the sentence of death which any apostle owns. This is a pre requisite to live in the power of God.

To trust in God who is raising the corpses.

10  Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

2Cor 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

In the breaking of the earthen vessel is the light revealed. The apostle is a clay vessel, broken,  so that God’s Spirit is revealed. This is accomplished by the cross. The 21st century church must go back to the cross if is to be relevant.

Who will live and preach the cross in 21 st century America? God is looking for those who will.

The divine light is the inspiration and guidance of the apostolic ministry.  The power is the property of God.

2Cor 4:8  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Troubled: Contracted, straightened, and squeezed on every side.  We are pressed closely, but not cramped. Are you straightened and constrained so that prayer, the Bible and God are your daily resources for the answers that you need?

Pressed on every side yet not straitened.

Perplexed: Not finding a way out.

Despair: We are perplexed but not utterly perplexed.

9  Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Persecuted- pursued

Forsaken: We are no left in an evil bind.  Pursued by enemies but not left in their power.  Though smitten down by enemies, yet we are not killed.

10  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11     For we which live are always delivered unto death ( thanatos)for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

We are always surrendered and yielded to the thanatos or the process of death. This is a continual death to our will, ability, confidence, so that all is placed in God.

12  So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

Death is actively energized and efficient in us. This is death to self, mainly.

It is always mighty in the apostolic calling.  This death is for the benefit of others, so that the powerful life of Christ may shine through the apostle.

2 Cor 4:16  For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

To rot thoroughly being disabled or being brought to decay, consumed, or ruin.

2Cor 5:13  For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

Be out of our mind, out of my wits or insane.

Or be at our right mind.  Moderated as to opinion or passion. If Paul exceeds the bounds of moderation it is in his moods of highest devotion, when he is pouring out his soul to God; and prudence towards his converts.

The apostle loses all earthly reputation.  A good reputation before God and man is vital. The loss of reputation which is needed is the one who seeks the selfish approval of man. It’s the approval of the “man pleaser.”

If you want the approval of man, you will not be free to work in God’s glory.  The glory of God demands continual obedience to the voice of the Spirit. This freedom is found in being a fool for Christ. Only a fool in the eyes of man, is free enough, not to regard criticism, so that she may step out and walk on the waters of God’s glory.

14  For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

Constraineth: Not urging or driving us, but shutting us up to one line and purpose, as in a narrowed wall road.

Does the love of God for others shut you out from other things, compelling you to follow one narrow road and one purpose of serving them?

2Cor 6:3  Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

Not even one occasion of sin or offense.  No occasion for stumbling.

Do we ask God to rid us of anything that causes our brother and sister to stumble through un dealt things in our lives?

4  But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

Much steadfastness, constancy and endurance.

Approving, exhibiting or demonstrating or standing near.

Greek: In narrowness of room and space, in anguish, oppression, and distress.

5  In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

In toils, pains, labors, trouble weariness. Instability, confusion and disorder.

6  By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

Purity: Chastity, uprightness of life. That is to be blameless in all things. To have nothing in our lives where the devil can point an accusatory finger at us.

The word devil, or diabolos, is one who thoroughly hurls. The devil is the “master accusation hurler.”  Do we hurl accusations and have un forgiveness towards our brothers and sisters?

Kindness: moral excellence, character or demeanor.

Love unfeigned.  Without dissimulation.

Slowness to avenge wrong.

7  By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

8  By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

Evil and good report: Through well speaking and ill speaking.

Are you mature enough not to get offended when someone unjustly speaks ill of you?  A great evil in the church lingers as many get easily offended and leave.

Paul tells us that he suffered  from the  condition of one who was defamed and had an  ill repute among some.

Paul was accused of being one who mislead  others into corruption.  Yet, Paul, was always genuine and pure. This is an evil report. Can you handle an evil report and not pack up and leave?

2Cor 12:15  And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

I will very gladly incur personal expense for your Christian well-being.  I will pour my very soul out for your progress in the faith.  I will exhaust myself by spending and using myself up for your spiritual maturing in Christ.

Is this part of your ministry for the sake of the body of Christ? If you are not there yet, because God is working in your life, is this your goal?

9  As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

Paul, was many times one who was unknown, yet thoroughly known by those who loved him. So much for the fame and glory of modern day apostles! LOL!

10  As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

As nothing having and yet all things possessing. What about the prosperity message that says that if you are a child of God, you will always have lots of money and things!

1 Corinthians 4:13  Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth(As soap being rinsed off from dirty plates) of the world, and are the offscouring (scrapings of food thrown away) of all things unto this day.

Apostolic Ministry

Romans1:5  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Set apart to preach the gospel of and from God.

The apostleship promotes obedience to the faith and make disciples for Christ’s sake among the nations

Rom 11:13  For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

To hold in honor, magnify my office and lay great stress on our ministries.  I do my ministry honor.

Are you focused on the ministry which God gave to you, to continually develop it?

Cor1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Paul a divinely summoned and divinely appointed ambassador belonging to Christ Jesus, through God’s determining will.  Divinely called, invited, appointed.

An apostle is divinely sent.

The apostle’s reputation, life and desires take a second place to the purposes of the One who sent him. This is what an ambassador does.

The emphasis on the commission lies in the hands of the author, being God.

No one can be sent except the one who is under orders.

1Cor 9:1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free?  Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

2  If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

The apostle must see the resurrected Lord with a discerning eye, or the revelation of the Spirit.

Gal 1:1  Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Paul, is an apostle not from men as a source of his ministry or his open doors.

Not raised up by men but by Jesus Christ

Thus the apostle never intends to please man outside of God’s will, but to please God who chose and raised him up.  Not pleasing man but a bond slave of God is the life of the apostle.

Eph 1:1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

The apostle proclaims the will of God because He lives in the will of God. No one can preach about God’s will if she does not live it first.

1Tim 1:1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

He can proclaim God’s commandments with authority, because the apostle lives in and under the commandments of God.

2Tim:1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

Titus 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

In accordance with the faith of God’s chosen out ones with a precise and full knowledge of the truth, this is in accordance with piety or godliness towards God.

There is a standard of faith for God’s elect.  The revelation of the Person of Christ in the measure of the stature of His fullness is the church’s standard of faith.  The apostle stimulates and promotes the faith of God’s chosen ones, by revealing the mysteries of God which leads to the revelation of Christ.

The apostle leads the church into the correct discernment, recognition and participation of the truth, which belongs to and harmonizes with what tends to godliness.  He must live in that accurate recognition and participation of the truth first.

With the promise of life goes the provision for its proclamation.  Hence the apostle in proclaiming that you and I shall live through Christ is an apostle according to the very proclamation of the resurrection life. Obviously, the apostle lives in Christ’s resurrection life.

Mark 6:30 And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

The Lord’s presence and spending time with the Lord is central to the apostle’s life.

Mark 9:41  For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward

Luke 10:16  He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

The apostle lives in union and oneness with the Lord, through the principle of death and resurrection.

John 6:57  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

John 8:42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Total dependency upon the Lord.  The apostle is broken  from her own strength and confidence and lives out of the strength and the power of God.

Her whole existence is sustained and originates through her relationship with the Heavenly Father.

John 12:49  For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

Union and oneness with the Lord through life and death.

The apostle lives out of the presence of God.

The authority and the commissioning of her daily life is grounded in the Father.

The apostle has no personal influence on the inner form of her commission.  She is brought under the will of God who destroys her autonomy, or a spirit of independence, through the works of the cross.

The apostle is lawfully charged to represent Jesus and His cause.

The apostle as a  bondservant stands under the jurisdiction to his master and derives from Him all that he is and all that he needs.

Fullness of the Spirit is proportional , as it is indispensable for commissioning with the full credentials and authority of the Father Himself. An ambassador must work with the full credentials, backing and resources of the country which sent him.

The closer the contact with Jesus the more effective will be the apostleship.

John 5:36  But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

The apostle’s work originates in God.  It is so done with the full authority of God and in signs and wonders, especially if the apostle is a clean vessel.

Tit 1:5  For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order(epidiorthoo) the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

Ac 14:23  And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

To set straight besides or after.  To arrange what was left after Paul’s departure.

Epidiorthoo: This is as the word orthodontist, or one who sets teeth straight.

The things that are wanting are the things that are failing, lagging or, inferior. Do you  have this type of care for your church?

Ordain:  To appoint or set down in every office.

Revelatory Ministry of Apostles

Eph 2:19  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

The spiritual building of the church is built up in, or on the foundation which the prophets and apostles have revealed.  This foundation is the Person of Christ.

Many churches do not build upon the revealed Person of Christ,  and His will and purposes for that local body. Many times they build on things, programs and agendas. Hence many  are weak and non-relevant.

Notice how the building is fitly framed together upon the foundation of the Person of Christ which the apostle and prophet revealed.

The article (the) is not before prophets. This shows that apostles and prophets are of the same kind of people.

1Cor3:10  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder( ARCHITECT), I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Lays the revelatory foundation of the person of Jesus Christ .

Blessings this Sunday! Make a difference at your church!
