Stop Camping Out In The second Heavens!

2Co 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago–whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows–such a one was caught up to the third heaven.

Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

What does a dead person do?

  • He is free from sin.
  • He is delivered
  • He is free from sickness.
  • He is free from his past.
  • He is free from his old identity.
  • He is not susceptible to rejection.
  • The corpse in fact is the freest person in the earth.

Many times the devil will make you feel that you are the one with the problem.

You are the one who is sick, or depressed, or without energy.

In more than half of the cases, you don’t have the problem.

It’s a lying attack from the outside.

But the devil will make you feel that it’s you, so you can never break free.

I have known for many years that I am dead with Christ, but the revelation never sank in to the point that I could deal with it and go on to the next level.

As long as the revelation of being a corpse in the grave with Jesus is not a total reality, and I still behave like an alive man in any way, the devil will hit me!

The devil would hit me with a sickness, or a problem, or with things that affect alive people, but not dead ones.

As much as I tried to break out into freedom I couldn’t, because freedom belongs to the dead.

So by the devils tactics he kept in the limbo of living in the second heavens.

The first heavens is where we naturally live, on earth.

The third heavens is the one which Paul talk about.

Its where God’s throne is.

It’s what Paul calls heavenly places.

Its where God has raised us up to, to sit at the right hand of God.

In between these two heavens is the second one, where Satan’s principalities, powers, dominions and spiritual wickedness in high places function.

When Christ resurrected, He did so by going through the first heavens, and through the second where He disarmed these principalities and powers and took them as the captive prisoners of a triumphant king, by His victory on the cross.

From there, He proceeded to the third heavens and now sits on the throne of God.

For the Christian, God sees him or her already seated with Him on His throne in the third heaven.

Bu the experience for most of us, is just not so!

Most of us are stuck somewhere in limbo land between the first and the third heavens!

Really, most of the church camps out somewhere in the second heaven, trying and trying to break out on the third, but finding herself in a never ending see saw war.

As long at the revelation of you being as dead as a door nail, and only Christ in you doing all the work through you, has not sunk in, the demons will hit you with things belonging to alive people, and through that, keep you tied up in the slime pits of the second heavens.

The moment that you realize that you are a corpse, you become free from the sin and the sickness and the attack of the demon, and from the slime pit of the second heaven, and suddenly thrust in and through into the third one, to walk and live from above, in heavenly places.

Some rules of engagement to get out of the second and into the third heavens.

What does a dead person do?

He is free from sin.
He is delivered
He is free from sickness.
He is free from his past.
He is free from his old identity.
He is not susceptible to rejection.
The corpse in fact is the freest person in the earth.
The devil does not mess around with a corpse for too long.
The biggest problem that Christians have is that they are way too alive.

Have you ever had an enemy?

God gave me a vision of Jesus Dying on the cross.

Surrounding Him were hundreds of Roman soldiers with menacing spears in their hands.

Sometime during the vision Jesus dies. A little while later, the soldiers begin to realize that the Lord had expired. One by one they left the scene of the crucifixion, their menacing spears no more. Jesus was dead. Everything was over and done.

As long as one is alive, the enemy feels threatened and might attack.

Once the person dies, the enemy has nothing that threatens him and departs. He gets bored with a corpse.

2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Greek: That they may return to soberness or awake out of the snare of the devil, after having being hunted down, taken captive, and caught alive by the devil, to do his will.

The devil is always actively hunting to “catch alive” by trapping our free will and make it to become passive, so that his will in us can then become active.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Be temperate dispassionate and serious in your life, be awake and watchful, because your opponent in a suit of law, the devil, as a roaring lion, conducts himself around, arduously and earnestly seeking, whom he may drink down, swallow, consume, and destroy.

Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

To give place to the devil as constructing an airport runway on our back for the devil to land upon! Only our sin and disobedience can do that. Any time that we are in willful disobedience to the Lord, we automatically open up an airport on our backs, where the enemy can land and take off at his personal fancy!

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Many of us imagine that this focuses on non-Christians. That’s false. The devil is an equal opportunity deceiver.

The Greek word for worketh is defined as giving energy to.

The sons of disobedience energize the schemes or plans of the devil. The word for disobedience is being non-compliant. If a Christian is continually noncompliant in an area of his or her life to the will of God, will he or she energize the works of the devil? Yup.

Any obstinate, stubborn, defiant, person, Christian or non, will energize the devil’s schemes

Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

He travels continually throughout differing arid places “seeking a cessation of his now unpleasant circumstances” (because he has been cast out of the man), and in no way finds it (showing the necessity the demons have to possess a living being).

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

I will return into my house whence I came out, and having come, finds it vacant and occupied, and in a perfected state of being swept, and cosmetically adorned.

How many people’s lives are cosmetically adorned on the outside but empty on the inside. They are great target practice for the devil.

2Co 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Lest Satan exploit us, for we are not without knowledge of his schemes.

The word devices for devices is “noema”, or thoughts. The devil has a big thought life which he can interject into an individual’s mind. Thus we must be led by the voice of the Holy Spirit .A mind doing its own thing and independent of the voice of God is a target practice for the devil’s own huge thought life. The devil cannot interject thoughts into the spirit of a person if the Holy Spirit dwells there. Is your mind doing its own thing? If it is you are a practice range for the devil to volley the golf balls of his thought life into it.

Why Does God Love The Delete Button?

I attended the Keith Miller, Anointed for Impact meeting, in Miami yesterday.

Keith spoke about becoming free.

I was praying in tongues, confessing my sin and breaking connections with my past.

Suddenly the “Delete” button sprang up in my mind.

It was the Holy Spirit.

“Jose,” He said, “just hit the delete button in a simple prayer.”

I did, and was freed in one moment from my entire painful past, as the Holy Spirit deleted and wiped it out.

Now, mind you, I have to believe what I did, and walk it out in faith, so that its reality becomes my experience.

Yet the Holy Spirit makes things so easy when we live by His voice.

Ask God to show you how to hit the delete button and wipe out your painful past, all in one moment!

Are You Alive or Dead to Sin ?

  • Can a corpse be enticed to sin?
  • No, because He is dead!
  • Can a corpse be enticed to do drugs, or pornography, or sleep around with someone else’s wife?
  • No, because he is dead!
  • So, a corpse is dead to sin!
  • Look at what Paul says about the Christian!

Romans 6: 2  God forbid! How shall we, who are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

  • A corpse is dead to sin, or dead to being enticed by it!
  • Though sin is very much alive in this world, a corpse does not respond to it. It’s unable to!
  • Therefore it is dead to sin, though sin continues to be alive to it.

Differentiating this is really important!

Why does Paul tell us this?

  • The Christian died with Christ on the cross.
  • When Christ became a corpse she became a corpse.

6  knowing this: that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

  • Now mind you, we are alive, because we have been resurrected with Christ.
  • But as to our pre Christ person, we are a corpse!

6  knowing this: that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

  • The body of sin is the sinful nature which we were born with.
  •  It’s a sin producing engine that keeps people sinning because it never stops running.
  • People cannot do anything else but sin, because of this engine inside of them.
  • That sin producing engine stopped running when you and I became a corpse in Christ.
  • We still sin because the deeply ingrained habits of sin.

The Holy Spirit takes care of that!

  • But that sin producing engine is gone, because a corpse cannot keep it.

7  For he that is dead is freed from sin.

  •  So Paul tells us that he is that is dead is freed from sin, because a corpse is freed from sin.
  • The corpse is the freest of all people!

Are you free?

Romans 12:2  And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

  • Transformed, is the word metamorphosis.

It’s just like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.

  • We need to be metamorphosed by the renewing of our minds into the new creature who knows that is dead to sin and no longer needs to respond to or be enticed by it.

This is why I am a stickler for the renewing of the mind.

This is why the hyper grace only message will leave you sinning.

  • Finally, a corpse cannot have sickness.

Sickness is alive around him, but he is dead to it and cannot keep it or respond to it!

Have you ever seen a sick corpse?

Romans 8;12  Therefore, brothers, we are debtors–not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Therefore we are not debtors to live by what the flesh tells us.

For sure, a corpse is not in debt to sin or sickness.

  • Are you dead to responding to or being enticed by sin or sickness? Or do you live as if you are still alive to it?

Think about this today!

How Do You Get Rid of a Demon?

I wrote this several years back!

I will describe one of my biggest battles in dying to my old life and having the Christ take full control.

Until today, I was still one of those children of the onion. Let me explain.

Today one huge stronghold of my control over that of Christ’s fell today.

Any area where our lives are not under the loving control of Christ is an area where the demonic will have its spidery legs wrapped around our soul, health, wealth, and body.

I call it spidery, because God has revealed demons as spiders. Spiders do not have to move much. They are simply there. They suck the life out of you. They roost on top of the sin which you love. They slowly destroy you from this beach head of sin. From there, they weave their spidery webs in the recesses of your soul.  Their long legs wrap themselves into the subconscious areas, and by them, create fortresses of hostility towards God, all in your mind.

The work of demons is obscure. Demons are onion lovers. They hide in onions.  These onions are their cocoons. These types of onions are sins. As the layers of sin peel off, as that of an onion, the demon spider is finally exposed, and Christ expels it out from your life. At the core of every onion called sin, there is always a demon. He is the last one to come out, and only when you have pealed the onion, with the knife of repentance. You can never get to the demon, until you get to the sin. You can never get to the sin as long as you love it.  As long as the onion is there, the demon is right in there, too. The only knife that works is that of repentance.

Demons make you feel that you are the one with the problem.  You are the one who is sick. You are the one who is anxious. When in fact it’s his attack from the outside. He will wound you by means of the spidery legs which work from the shadowy cocoon of sin’s onion.

This well hid spider deceives you.  Its deceptions create a false identity which you embrace.  The identity could be to become famous, or rich, take up a cause, or extol your personal rights, or worse still, to disobey God.

It could be a need to stay sick, in self-pity, to be a martyr, a victim, one who is offended, depressed or unable to forgive.  These breed negative attention. Others attend to you because you are a victim, a martyr, or someone who is ill.

This identity becomes a fortress, a citadel in your mind. You live and die for it. I was still holding to a false identity. Worse still, I was wishing for this identity, and asking God to make me into the person who owned it. This false person had become me. We call this a pseudo fantasy, a false imagination. We idolize our imaginations and fantasies and what we create in them.

The only real identity is Christ in me. Every other identity must die. Every other identity bows its knee to Christ.  Demons only respect Christ. They don’t respect me, or my false fantasies. They don’t respect any other identity, except the one which Christ has, and which is Christ.

So as long as you love any sin, remember that it is an onion, which has a demon at its core and which is still preying on you.  You are still the children of the onion.

Nothing

John 14:30  Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Jesus is discussing about His soon to come confrontation with Satan through the hands of Judah, and his subsequent arrest and crucifixion.

In all certainty, the words of Jesus are more emphatic in the Greek.

In His own words He says, “The prince of the cosmos comes, and it is impossible for him to have even have the tiniest connection with me.”

Christianity is not about our asking for things or blessings.  We have been deceived to think that our lives must be spent in asking God for a ton of things!

Col 2:3  In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

All of our victories are resident, and treasured up, in the Person of Christ living within us.  The more that this person within us is revealed, through our  Holy Spirit obedience, and the work of the cross, the more that we enter into all of the victories and blessings deposited in His very being, and attainable to us through His revelation within our spirits.

In other words, the more that Christ is revealed, the more that all the treasures inside His person are revealed alongside with Him, in and to you.

The church has neglected this principle. Her relevancy in the world is waning and will continue to, until she comes back her to main function, which is to reveal the Person of Christ.

God has no other human instrument than the church to reveal Him.

Getting back to the scripture.

Are you moving towards renewal with Christ and losing all connections with the demonic, and sin? .

This is essential if you will be effective for Christ.

We must move to the point in which we can say, “for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”

The Chronicles of Ephesians: Holy Spirit Obedience

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Paul an apostle belonging strictly to Jesus Christ and only for Him, and through the will belonging exclusively to God.

This is an apostolic description.

The prophet ministers in the progressive revelation of the rhema word of God, which is also called the voice of the Holy Spirit.

The apostle ministers in the completed revelation found in the logos word.  The apostle is more of a foundation layer, an architect.

1Co 3:10  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

We not Paul’s description of himself, an apostle.

Master builder is the word architecton, from where our word architect comes from.  An apostle knows intuitively what the correct foundation of the church is and knows how it should go. He knows when something is amiss in the church.

Combined, the revealed knowledge of the apostle and prophet is the foundation upon which the church builds.

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

The object of the apostle’s ministry is geared to the building up of the genuine saints of God, by the foundational knowledge that follows in this chapter, and Paul, in the ministry of an apostle reveals.

This is why a proper foundation of the revealed Word of God is so vital.

We are living in times in which things in the church are not being laid according to the foundation of God’s Word.

God is looking for those who will step up to the plate and begin to teach and minister according to what is in the Word.

Names, and personalities do not matter to God. Only the faithfulness of His people.

Saints as hagioi, or the sanctified ones.

2Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace is defined as Christ’s  superhuman labor within us.  The result of Christ’s labor produces within us “shalom peace.”

1Cor 15: 10  But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

We note how Paul equates grace with the labor of God. Nowhere does he say, that grace is an allowance for us to do as we please. As a matter of fact, the revelation of God’s superhuman labor is proportional to how yielded we are to God. God’s labor is given to us so that we can continue to glorify God.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us  (accusative case)with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Blessed, is in the past tense. God has blessed us with every kind and type of spiritual blessing possible.  They occur in Christ or as we walk step by step in obedience to the voice of the Spirit. We do not ask Christ for blessings, we obey Him so that every blessing already deposited within Him can be revealed in us.

The blessings occur in heavenly, not earthly places.

Our lives must be totally focused on things above, not on earthly things below.

These blessings proceed or are worked out by the means of our abiding in the heavenly places, which is walking in the Spirit.

The source of every blessing has the saints as the object, the final goal, or the funneling ground. The church is the receptacle where God pours out everything that He is and wants to do. It’s in our ability to receive, by faith that this becomes a reality.

The church in this verse is in the Greek accusative noun case. The accusative is like the accused, or to whom the finger is pointed to. The church has the finger of God pointed to it, in that God has pointed out the church to receive all that He has.

This is the great purpose of the church, to be the receptacle of receiving all that God has.

“Spiritual” is defined that the blessings proceed from the Spirit of God, and not from our soul realm. The Christian must learn to distinguish the difference between the spirit and the soul.

4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

God chose us.  We are the hagioi or sanctified ones. No where do we see that the Christian must like the world to attract the word to the Lord.

The limitations of God’s choosing are limited to our relationship with the Son.

Everything is birthed in the Son, occurs by the grace or labor of the Son, and is worked by God back to us through His Son. God per se is not blessings us, but His son in us. This is why the personal revelation of Christ Jesus within our lives is of the utmost importance.

The limit of the choosing is that we should be holy or set apart for His sacred purposes resulting in an unblemished internal character within us.

Col 1:22  In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Holy -denotes a cut from the world and from what is common and profane, to the sacred purposes of God.

Unblamable- Without blemish and spot; talks about our inner character.

Unreprovable- External character.  That in absolutely nothing outwardly can we be accused of, or have an accusatory finger pointed at us.  This is the outward fruit of being holy and unblamable. Nothing that the devil can point a finger at the church.

5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

The purpose of our being blessed with every Spirit originated blessing in Christ has the goal of praise in mind.

Genuine saints who are walking in the way that we have just described above stimulate and extract praise from the world unto God. The purpose of the church must be a society that will give praise back to God for His glory and riches.

The unchurched must see the glory of God in the church and through that give praise back to God.

The saints are one of God’s primary vehicles to stimulate praise from the universe.   This praise had to do with the glory of God.  The glory of God is making the invisible God to become visible in His attributes and in that glory to make Him progressively known.

The saints are one of the main bearers of God’s glory. The saints make the invisible God to become visible. This is the great purpose of the church.

1 Corinthians 6:20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

The physical body is the entity, sphere or element in which the glory of God is manifested or and made progressively known. God uses the physical bodies of His saints and more so, His corporate body that is His church, as the element or vehicle in which His glory is made visible in such a way that He can be progressively known to the universe.

Eph 3: 10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

God’s Fullness

John 1:16  And of his fullness( pleroma) have all we received, and grace for grace.

God’s fullness is all of the attributes, essence, giftings, arrangements and dispositions of God that make Him God, exclusive of anything else in the universe.

Colossians 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell

All of God’s fullness is permanently resident within Christ, and Christ resides within His saints.

The fullness of God, which God now deposited in the saints, becomes the inheritance.

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh ( WHO IS ENERGIZING in DUNAMIS POWER) all things after the counsel of his own will:

The more that the saints operate in the counsel of God, the more that His energizing power works within them to make His kingdom operational in the world, becomes a reality.

God only releases His energizing power in proportion to us doing His will. In no place does it say that the Christian can do as she feels.

10 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Praise is created unto God because of the glory manifested through the saints.

17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

The hope of His calling is the call and invitation of God to the saint that is received with total obedience.

When the call is received with obedience, and ministry is accomplished in oneness and identicalness to the Spirit’s voice, it becomes an effectual call or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective, operational and accomplish what it is supposed to do through the saint.

The riches are the unsearchable arrangements and dispositions and arrangements of God that must be revealed. Each of the riches defines a portion of the inheritance, which is the deposit of the fullness of Christ within the believer. The riches are to be made known or manifested in the mode of glory. The riches are the inheritance of God within the believer, which is His fullness made visible.

Riches cannot be sought out, they must be revealed.

Ephesians 1:8  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

A spirit of wisdom and revelation knows God’s will and timing and then understands it to carry it out step by the step In the Spirit through what is called prudence.

Wisdom are the revealed blue prints of God which come out of God’s mysteries. Everything that God has, He keeps hidden in mysteries. He does this so that people who do not want to honor Him, cannot access the things of God.

Mysteries cannot be accessed through our physical senses, but only through revelation knowledge. This is why the prayer of revelation is the most important prayer that can be prayed.

Wisdom is the revealed mystery of God.

Heb 8:5  Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

God ia a God of patterns or blue prints. His wisdom comes out of patterns.

Ephesians 1:8  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Prudence then, is the execution of  pattern of God, step by step by the voice of the Holy Spirit. This is the key to revival.

Universalism Is Not So Universal For It Excludes The World of The Blood of Jesus

Matthew 26:28  For this is my blood of the new (the freshness of something new)  testament, (covenant) which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Testament   In the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, the word for testament is more correctly translated as covenant.

The idea of a covenant as defined by W.E. Vine in “An Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words” is a “mutual undertaking between two parties or more, each binding himself to fulfill obligation.”

Many saints fail to realize that we are in covenant with the Lord Jesus and our ability to experience all that He has already accomplished for us is conditional to our obedience.

We live in a time in which obedience to the voice of the Spirit. Yet because a covenant between two, must be fulfilled by both, if we do not obey God, He is not required to carry out His promises to us.

The cheap grace message, that because God is love, and will forgive us, whatever we do, short-circuits this process and sends us to hell.  Beware of this message!

The Lord took it upon Himself to carry out most of the responsibilities of this New Covenant. Our responsibility lies in serving the Lord by the voice of His Spirit, with full obedience.

Matthew 26:28  For this is my blood of the new (the freshness of something new)  testament, (covenant) which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

New :  This is a most interesting word.  It is defined as the freshness of something brand new, as is the case of a new car.  The New Covenant has the ability to convert all things and make them brand new in quality, if we fulfill our obligations in keeping covenant with the Lord through obedience to voice of the Spirit.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation): old (archaic) things are passed away ; behold, all things are become new

This verse uses this same word new.

At the event of our becoming born again, everything that was within us of the old creation passed away.  At that same moment, the Lord made all things fresh and brand new.  We all become old and die, but everything that pertains to our spiritual life has become as a brand new car.

Paul uses the perfect verb tense to describe all things as becoming new.  The perfect tense defines an event that has occurred in time but its results and impact go on forevermore.

Matthew 26:28  For this is my blood of the new (the freshness of something new)  testament, (covenant) which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Shed: to pour out lavishly and abundantly. The blood of Christ is poured out for us in this way.

I say, is poured out, rather than saying was poured out, because the verb tense is in the present.

What was going through the mind of Jesus when He described a future event in the present?    The New Covenant can only support its eternal “newness” through the blood, which is eternally poured out from moment to moment to keep it new.

The question is what happens when we disobey and fail to keep covenant with the Lord?  The blood of Christ is found only in the New Covenant.

If we willfully move out from the confines of the New Covenant in disobedience, the blood is not available and we will stay in the archaic condition of bondages and sins. This is the problem with Rob Bell’s teaching or universalism.

1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship ( sharing in common) one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Greek (my paraphrase): But if we should conduct our life in the light, in the same way as He (conducts Himself) in the light, we associate one with the other.  This association allows for the Lord and us to participate with one another.

This sharing in common allows us to get the things of God, as the blood of Jesus Christ His Son continuously cleanses us, (so that we can obtain).

In the measure that we order our lives in loving obedience to the Lord is to the same extent that we will have fellowship with the Lord.  Fellowship, or the sharing in common, allows us to participate in the things of God so that we can obtain from Him. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us in proportion to our loving obedience and we get proportionally to the cleansing by the blood.

The great danger with the teaching of universalism or that because God is love, He forgives us and we can do as we please, is that it takes us outside of our covenant commitment with Jesus and outside of the Blood of the Covenant. We stay in bondage and fail to obtain, because the blood is no longer ours.

Matthew 26:28  For this is my blood of the new (the freshness of something new)  testament, (covenant) which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Remission – Remission is defined as the sending away of something. The blood belonging to the New Covenant constantly sends away sins as we fulfill our obligations with the covenant through obedience.  Wherever we step out of covenant, “the blood that sends away,” will not be present.

The teachings of universalism or ultimate reconciliation take us out of covenant and removes us from the blood which sends away sin. So very dangerous!

2 Timothy 2:26  And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Greek: That they may return to soberness out of the snare of the devil, having being hunted down and caught alive by him, to do his will.

Watchman Nee, talked on the issue of passivity, the devil, and the Christian.

Though the Word of God never uses the term “passivity”,  in reality this is Satan’s most effective method of lying against the body of Christ.

The Lord always seeks to bring our will in conformity to His will.  Our will, however, still remains free. True freedom, is the freedom to obey God.

The devil likewise wants to conform us to obeying his will.   The Lord allows our will to be free, as He lovingly compels us to obey Him.

Satan, as “the one who hunts down and catches alive,” wants to take us captive through our passivity to his will.

Any time that we give ground to the enemy through willful disobedience, Satan immediately tempts us with feelings of guilt, condemnation, oppression, passivity, and complacency, until we are captured alive by him.

Much of the body of Christ is generally passive.  We are passive in our study of the Word of God.  We are passive in our prayer life.  We are passive in our commitment to the Lord.  I can guarantee you that the devil’s methods of passivity are at work upon us.  Passivity to the Word keeps us in ignorance to the will and the ways of God that is our only avenue to obtain the blessings of God.

Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted (charming and lovely) in the beloved.

7 In whom we have redemption (the ransom payment of slaves that has freed us) through his blood, the forgiveness (sending away) of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Greek (my paraphrase). In whom we have the liberation of slaves brought about by the Lord Jesus’ satisfactory ransom payment.  This ransom payment is His blood.  The blood serves as God’s ransom payment because it has the ability to send our sins away.

Because the blood of the Lord has sent away our sins away, we are now (“accepted”) charming, and lovely, in the eyes of the Father.

8  Wherein(Greek: which) he hath abounded (caused us to abound) toward  (into) us in all wisdom and prudence;

The importance of verse eight is that the abundance of the Lord’s blessings to us is limited by wisdom and prudence.  Wisdom is our understanding of the will and the ways of God, and our loving submission of every part of our lives to that will.

Prudence is our step-by-step, daily implementation of this will, as we are guided by the voice of the Holy Spirit.

The abundance of God’s riches and blessings are released in proportion to how much we conform our daily conduct to God’s wisdom and prudence.

8  Wherein(Greek: which) he hath abounded (caused us to abound) toward  (into) us in all wisdom and prudence;

Toward is a wonderful word.  In reality it is the word “into.” The saints who have become charming and lovely to God are now the receptacles “into” which God desires to funnel all that He is, and all that He has.

The more obedience, the more funneling!

The devil knows that the more passive and complacent that he can keep us in our study of the Word, the less that we will know of God’s wisdom and prudence, and we will suffer decrease will be in the abundance of the blessings of the Lord to us.

Remember, it is not what we think that we are performing of the word of God but in reality are not, that releases the riches of God.  The Lord’s blessings are only funneled into us in what we do in accordance to correct reality of the Word in His wisdom and prudence.

This is why we witness so many ministries and churches that work and sow much and reap little.

Finally, a successful Christian life that is a threat to the devil is one of spiritual athletic agony and spiritual labor.   Such a life is accomplished by violent spiritual believers who take the kingdom of God by spiritual violence; never passivity!

Luke 22:20  Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

In my blood is in the Greek “dative case of location.”

Where do you and I live?  We live on the earth or are located in the earth.

Because we are located in the earthly world we are affected by, and are part of everything that belongs to the world.  The New Covenant is located in the blood, or more accurately, in the world of the blood of Jesus.  All that the blood of Jesus accomplishes affects everything in the New Covenant.  As long as we maintain ourselves in covenant with the Lord, we automatically live inside of the world of the blood of Jesus Christ.  But if we step out of the covenant, we step out of the world of the blood of Jesus. The passive and un submitted life to Jesus will keep us out of the world of His blood.

Our loving obedience to the Lord is our safety and protection from the devil, and our cleansing from all sin and bondage.  There is no cheap grace message, to do as we feel, with God. This message comes from the throne of Satan.

For those of you who deny that Jesus Christ is God, the next scripture is for you.

Does it not say that God purchased the church with His own blood?

Acts 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

 Romans 3:25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Propitiation-   The Greek tells us that God has placed before the public eye “CHRIST AS A PROPITIATION.”

To propitiate, is for God to become favorably inclined towards us.

This is because Jesus paid the blood ransom money that sent our sins away, making us charming and lovely to His eyes.

God now has the legal ability to shower all of His blessings upon us.  The fullness of His blessings is His inheritance, which will take an eternity for us to receive.

Ephesians 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

1 Corinthians 10:16  The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion  (“a” communion, not “the” communion)of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

Marvin Vincent, the Greek scholar translates the first part of First Corinthians ten and sixteen in the following way. “The cup over which the familiar formula of blessing is pronounced.”

The communion of the blood:

Communion is the word for fellowship. As we have discussed fellowship is defined as an association, participation, and a sharing in common.

In this case, the cup represents our spiritual participation and sharing in all the benefits that the blood of Christ has in store for us.

1 Corinthians 11:25  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

We are told that that the cup is likewise the New Covenant of the Lord.  Let us see why.

26  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

Greek: For at any time that you choose to eat this bread and drink this cup, you publicly proclaim and declare with all thoroughness what the death of the Lord Jesus signifies, until the time that He chooses to come.

The New Covenant located in the blood of Jesus is inaugurated with the death of the Lord Jesus by the shedding of the same.  Our partaking of the cup becomes a spiritual display of the New Covenant and the death of Christ, which it fully declares.

Ephesians 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Greek paraphrase; you were once far off, not only in distance, but alienated from God and without access to the things that belong to Him.   Now by His blood, you have become close to Him and enjoy full access to Him and His things.

This scripture is a good example of how we must commune with the blood of Jesus to receive by faith its benefits.

Colossians 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Greek (paraphrase): He brought about the state of freshness and newness to the universe through the blood of His cross.  He is able to harmonize all things back to Himself whether upon the earth or in heaven through the blood of His cross.

Harmony pertains to the universe because it’s subjected to Christ, under His headship, and can now be restored to its original condition and purpose, which God had for it prior to the fall.

Christ shed His blood for the universe, partly in preparation for the eternal ages to come.  We can therefore confess before Satan, that Jesus has harmonized everything in us to His original plan and state.  Satan, therefore, cannot touch us, if we maintain ourselves in the covenant of the blood of Christ.

Hebrews 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained ( to find, discover, or to meet upon) eternal redemption( loosening) for us.

Greek:  By His own blood He entered once and for all, and remains in the holiest place.  He has obtained for us an everlasting loosening or deliverance not only of our sins but also from the penalties associated with them.

In the Old Testament, once a year, on one day, that being the Day of Atonement, the high priest would go into the holiest place with the blood of animals and purge the sins of the nation of Israel.

We have a better sacrifice than the nation of Israel.  Through His spotless blood, the Lord Jesus entered permanently into the holiest place of the heavenly temple securing for us a permanent and everlasting purging of sins.  We are free from sin forever!

Hebrews 9:13  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

Greek: For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling what is common (what is in the world at large) and profane is able to separate unto God (from the world at large and towards His purposes) in regards to the purity of the flesh

Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot (to be without moral stain or blemish.)  to God, purge your conscience from dead works ( corpse like works) to serve the living God?

The blood of bulls and calves could only give the house of Israel with purity of the flesh.  On the other hand, the blood of Jesus not only purifies our flesh but also cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

Our conscience is a simple barometer of what lies within us whether good or evil.  A dead work is anything that we do outside of the voice of the Holy Spirit whether by performance, guilt, religious agendas and fleshly strivings.  The blood of bulls and goats could never purify the spirit and soul of man or woman from these fleshly efforts to serve the living God.  Serving the living God, is serving God as an adopted son or daughter.  Our service as sons and daughters is a simple obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit apart from the performance, guilt and compulsion brought about the dead works of fleshly efforts.

Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Greek: And almost all things with blood are cleansed according to the law.  Apart from the blood shedding (through the giving up of a life) can there be the sending away of sins.

Heb 9:23  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Greek: It is necessary that the earthly copy of the things which are in the heavens themselves be purified with the blood of bulls and goats, but the heavenly original with more excellent sacrifices than these.

24  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Greek: Christ did not enter into the holies made with human hands which is merely a copy resembling the authentic.  He entered into heaven itself to make Him visible before the face of the God on our behalf.

For one, Christ has done exceedingly above what the earthly high priest could do. The high priest could only enter into an imperfect earthly copy of the tabernacle that dwells in heaven. There, he could present the blood before the glory of God, which dwelt on the mercy seat above the Ark of the Covenant.  Jesus, however, when into heavens itself, into the authentic tabernacle, and presented Himself before the very face of God, not just His earthly glory.

This has insured us with an absolute purging of our sins and an assurance of a completely thorough salvation.  As we live in this imperfect world, we can still believe for total freedom in every part of our lives, or at least our continual progress towards it.

Hebrews 7:25  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, utterly) that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them

Heb 9:23  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

In verse twenty-three we see that the earthly tabernacle was cleansed with the blood of bulls and goats so that priestly ministry could take place.  How much more effective can our ministries be if the authentic heavenly tabernacle has been cleansed with the blood of Jesus?  There is no excuse for each of us to be powerfully used by the Lord if we serve the living God and not dead works.

Galatians 5:25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk ( military steps in rank and order) in the Spirit.

Greek: If we are living in the Spirit, let us march in the steps of a soldier with the Spirit’s wishes.

Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Greek: We have at all times therefore a fearless confidence before God that gives us an entrance into the holies by the blood of Jesus.

Boldness is one of my favorite New Testament words.  It simply means, “to tell it like it is.”  Because the blood of Christ has made us charming and lovely before the eyes of God we now have boldness with Him.

Boldness urges us to come before God, having nothing to hide from Him, without shame or guilt, fully confident and assured, and with the ability to speak intimately, frankly, and with reverential bluntness.

Heb 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Greek: Let us continuously approach God with a heart that is genuine and real (not religious) because we are fully confident.  This confidence comes through our faith in all that Christ has done for us.  We base this faith on the fact that our hearts were once in the past sprinkled from an evil conscience, but the impact of this event has a lasting and eternal impact.

Likewise, our bodies were once in the past washed with pure water (the blood of Christ and the Word of God), but the impact of this event has a lasting and eternal impact.

We see the perfect tense used in Hebrews ten and twenty two. The salvation of the Lord accomplished for us two thousand years ago continues effective now and forevermore.

Hebrews 11:28  Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

Greek: By faith he Moses performed the Passover and the pouring of the blood lest the destroyer of the firstborn might do them violence and cause them injury.

This is a very important scripture in spiritual warfare. Our claiming of the blood of Jesus towards Satan will stop the violence and injury that he would cause to our loved ones and us.

However we must not forget to do the Passover in conjunction with claiming the blood of Jesus so that our protection will be complete.

For us to day, the Passover signifies our complete exiting from the land of sin; our eating of the unleavened bread, which is a holy life before God; our not fearing man or Satan, but stepping out instead into a life of faith and obedience, which will take us into the promised land of freedom and our spiritual vocation.

1 Peter 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

Greek: Knowing that with things which perish such as silver and gold (which cannot pay the sufficient ransom payment to liberate slaves) you were bought, from your empty manner of life handed down to you from your ancestors.

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish (internal purity) and without spot (external staining by sin)

Greek: But by the precious and highly honored blood as of a lamb void of internal blemishes and thus unspotted externally by the world and Satan.

This is the costly price of our deliverance that is ever before God and allows us to have boldness with Him.  Likewise this must be our confession before the devil.

The Battle: Salvation

Gal6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth(inward strength and force, to have strength to overcome health, ability, capacity) any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Only Christ being formed and birthed in us is of any capacity or ability for us to overcome and get the victory.

Matt 10:37  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

“To have real weight or clout with Jesus.”

The word for love in this scripture is affection for Jesus above that of anything else.  Having a greater affection for anything in this life makes a believer unfit and unprepared to follow Jesus.  He is unable to adequately respond to the life and the call of Jesus.  There will be a lack of balance between the believer and Jesus himself.  He will not deserve Jesus.

In Philippians 2:12 the exhortation is to carry out our salvation to an utter completion, growing up into Christ in all things. It means to leave no stone unturned.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

The command is in the grammatical middle voice signifying that the responsibility is ours, and it shall be done through implicit obedience, much prayer, and through an exact knowledge of the Word.

Another favorite scripture of mine is found in Ephesians 6:13

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand,

We are encouraged here to take the armor of God and having done all to stand, to stand therefore.

“Having done all” is the word “katergazomai.’

This defines us as warriors in a terrible struggle against the world, Satan, and sin.

The big ball of dull is kicked up as we engage in these spiritual gladiator struggles of life.

When the dust finally settles we remain standing victoriously, as Satan, sin and the world lay scattered at our feet.  This is the attitude that we must adopt, so lacking in the complacent and passive American church. Some of us need to be lights.

The reason the church is so weak is because few obey this scripture.

2 Corinthians 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Greek: But we all with our face uncovered; Though our faces have been uncovered at our conversion, a believer that has an “open” face is one that is yielded to the Lord and gladly obeys Him.

He or she welcomes all that God has for them; their faces are opened to His dealings in their lives.

Quite the opposite, the person who has a “closed face” is one who secretly does not receive another, and is in opposition or disagreement with that other, judging them in their heart. Or one who limits what God wants to do in his or her life.

The glory of the Lord beholding as in a mirror is the opposite to Moses who did not have a spiritual mirror to capture and behold the glory of the Lord that would thoroughly transform him!

The Old Covenant was transient and not permanent as the New Covenant inaugurated in the blood of Jesus Christ was.

Thus he covered his face, which had the passing glory of God on it. Christ is our spiritual mirror that allows us to permanently capture and behold the glory of God that will thoroughly transform us, as long as our faces remain opened towards Him .

Look up Strong’s Word 3339. It’s imperative to have a basic understanding of NT Greek.

To the same image are being metamorphosised  ( 3339) out of glory and into (the next level) glory even as from the Spirit of the Lord.

Mt 17:2  And was transfigured <3339> before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Mr 9:2  And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured <3339> before them.

Ro 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed <3339> by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2Co 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed <3339> into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly (“speaking plainly”; probably through the mouths of prophets), that in the latter times (not specific times) some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

The Tapestry of Worship Is Soaking

A friend gave me some revolutionary and life changing advice.

He said that if as a Christian, there is sickness or pain or bondage in my life, it’s a sign that I am not soaking enough in God’s presence.

Mind you, this is not a golden rule. God is not limited to healing, or not healing, through worship soaking in His presence, or not soaking.

Yet, it got me thinking that though I do spend intimate time with God, I do not soak in His presence through worship music.

There are afflictions which I struggle with which seem to be slow in leaving.

Now with the blessing of You Tube you can find something like Alberto and Kimberly Rivera or Grace Williams Soaking Music Remix, put in on “Auto Play” and enjoy two nonstop hours of soaking music.

Try it for yourself.

http://bit.ly/12mXlkW

http://bit.ly/124ioqs

I began last night as I went to sleep.

Two hours of soaking in God’s presence last night and two hours this morning.

My Lord!  My life is being revolutionized.

How I can feel the Spirit move and work, restoring, healing, delivering, setting me free, removing the pain…

This is what I was missing!

I believe this is what most of us are missing.

I lie down on my bed, and do nothing but let the Spirit of God minister to me.

I thank my friend for this timely advice, for  the tapestry of worship is soaking.
