The Electrical Charge Inside The Christian

In the old cartoons of Popeye the sailor man, Popeye would eat a can of spinach, which gave to him inner strength as to his being. This strength was manifested as bulging muscles and an outward dominion, domination, that could subjugate and wipe out Bluto, his archenemy.

God’s power acts in the same fashion. God’s dunamis power is defined as the product of the dominion that God exerts over His creation, and over all that is not of Him, as a measure of His inner strength.

Let’s study it.

Eph  1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power ( DUNAMIS) to us-ward (FUNNELED INTO) who believe ( CONTINUALLY BELIEVING) , according to the working( ENERGY PUT OUT) of his mighty ( INNER SPIRITUAL STRENGTH) power,(EXTERNAL DOMINION)

What is the throwing beyond (homerun) greatness of His dunamis power funneled into us the ones believing according to the energy that is put out as God’s inner spiritual strength is translated into His external dominion.

Dunamis power is the inherent power within every created being, living, and non-living.  God has His own inherent dunamis power. Disease has its own type of dunamis power. Dunamis power is what distinguishes one object from the other, and gives to its life and power.

20 Which he wrought (ENERGIZED) in Christ, when he raised him from the dead (CORPSE), and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Which He energized (PAST TENSE) in Christ when He raised Him out of a corpse.

The fact that Christ was energized with this power makes Christ Jesus into a charged battery made up of the power which we just described.

Let’s look at this verb from a different position.

Eph 1:20 which is operative (He charged Christ with the energy charge of His power described in the above verse; just as a battery that is charged) in the Christ, rousing Him from among the dead and seating Him at His right hand among the celestials, (You have that battery called Christ Jesus, fully charged inside of you).

My friends, if we have Christ Jesus, we have excessive, surplus, redundant overwhelming power stored in us. Christ was charged with this power, just as a battery has a static electrical charge of stored energy. This charge of energy was produced when the Father raised Christ from a lifeless corpse, and caused Him to sit and reign over the universe with maximum power. We are permanently charged  in our spirit with this measure of charge of stored energy.

The Christian is greater than the energizer bunny.

The definition of God’s DUNAMIS POWER was the energy that was “put out” (in the historical event 2000 years ago), as Christ was raised up from a corpse and made to sit far above in rank, power, and physical distance over all principalities, powers, and might, dominions, and all names which are named both in heaven and upon the earth.

This dunamis power was once and for all energized INTO CHRIST. Because Christ lives in us, so does this DUNAMIS POWER.

However the living reality of this dunamis power, as it is funneled or manifested into us comes in proportion to our faith.

Let us look now in more detail now the properties of the dunamis power that we have resident within us and available to us when we walk in childlike obedience and faith

21 Far above all principality (BEGINNING), and power(AUTHORITY), and might, (DUNAMIS POWER) and dominion( LORDSHIP OR BONDAGE), and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Far above in rank, power, and physical distance

Every type of principality – Or the beginning of every created thing

We know a principality to be an authoritative demonic being.  However, in the NT, the word principality is also used for a physical beginning, the creation of something, and the root source of something.  The dunamis power of God in Christ, and available to us, is far above in rank and power, above every root problem such as generational sins, curses, judgments, and the root causes and beginnings in diseases.  This is very important to us when we minister.  A simple knowledge of this facet of God’s power will allow us to exercise God’s power with a new level of faith.

Authority: Power of choice; liberty to do as one pleases; jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road within a state; the power of rule and government

Authority is the power of choice; or the liberty to do as one pleases, such as the jurisdiction enjoyed by a state policeman or woman over every road and highway within the state wherein they work.  Cancer, for example has its own authority, in that it can spread at will throughout the human body. However the authority found in Christ’s dunamis power has an authority far above in rank and power over that of cancer. By our words, as they are tempered or alloyed 50/50 with faith, the kingly sway, the power of choice, or the liberty of action to command the cancer where we please, is available to us.

Dunamis power. The inherent power in every created thing that defines it and gives to it its life.

As we spoke earlier on, dunamis power is the inherent power exclusive, to every created thing.  Water, has an inherent power of its own, which gives to it its life, and defines it as water exclusive of any another object.  Cancer has another type of dunamis power.  God has His own dunamis power.  The dunamis or inherent power of Christ resident in us is far in rank and power above the inherent power of any other created object.  Hallelujah!  When we minister, we know that Christ’s inherent power will subordinate, subjugate and destroy the inherent power sustaining the evil that we are ministering against.

The inherent or dunamis power of something gives to it life, glory, and honor.  Cancer, though evil in nature, has its own evil glory and honor.  The word, “to rebuke” is defined as “UPON THE HONOR.”  When we rebuke cancer in JESUS NAME, we are heaping Christ’s power to bear upon the honor of the root source of the cancer, the liberty that it exercises and the very inherent power that makes it up and gives to its life.

Lordship- Someone or something which can bring into bondage.

And every name that identifies something for what it is exclusive of anything else.

22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

All these Christ subordinated and subjected under His feet.  When God gave Christ to be to be head over all of these things to the church; this same power is now available to us.

This is the power that you have permanently stored or charged in you.

It’s released without end or depletion as we obey the voice of the Spirit.

How Do I Get The Whole Package Deal?

Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

Eph 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Eph 1:19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength

Eph 1:20 which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

Notice how Paul begins in verse 17!

He asks the Father to give him a spirit of revelation in the knowledge of His Son.

What is the result of this spirit of revelation?

That the eyes of my understanding being enlightened I will see what God has placed INSIDE OF Christ.

So what does Jesus have inside of Him?

Here are a few things that Paul lists.

  • You will know what the hope of God’s calling for you is.
  • You will know what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance for you.
  • You will know what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward you.

God has not given you a bunch of things!

1Co 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption

Col 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, slave or freeman, but Christ is all things in all.

He has given you His Son who has been made into all things and is all things!

The more is the revelation of Jesus the more is the revelation of things which Jesus has been made for you.

What makes Jesus different to all other religions is that it’s not about getting lots of things from God.

Once that you receive Jesus you get it all.

He is God’s whole package deal in one man.

Jesus is revealed by the work of His cross.

When the cross is applied to our life it kills a part of our old self and automatically reveals Jesus.

Every act of our obedience to God applies the cross.

Its automatic.

Less of us and more of Jesus.

This is the good news that God has given the world!

Who does not like good news and what better news can there be than this?

What happens when the cross is not talked about or taught?

Well, we no longer have the instrument that will reveal Christ and all things which He has been made into for you.

Isn’t this troubling that we don’t teach the cross anymore?

We’ve tricked ourselves into not having Jesus and all the things we need, revealed.

We’ve stopped our boat too short to simply talk about Jesus accepting us but not revealed in us.

The bottom line is that when you receive Jesus into your heart you receive the whole package deal at one time.

Just ask Him to come inside your life!

This is my Face Book status for today.

“In reality God is not so much into blessing us. He blesses what is done in His Son. God knows that without Jesus we are sinners. There is no freedom or wholeness in us. All these things are In Jesus. The honor is not upon us, it’s upon Jesus. Our freedom and healing are not separate blessings that God gives to us. The healing is in Jesus. The deliverance is in Jesus. When I ask God to heal or deliver me, He will reveal more of Jesus to me.”

Why Must You Be Two Types of Human Being?

Eph 4:22  that you put off, concerning your former way of life, the old man which is being corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,

The old man, was our old identity.

The  Greek word, palaion,  is one which is old in age, and decrepit, just like a 150 year old nursing home man.

This is the old man that whole world idolizes and protects.

23  and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

How are we transformed out from the horrible old man?

It’s done by our renewing ourselves in the spirit of our minds.

The word for renew is the Greek word, ananeos.

Ana is preposition which means again.

Neos is someone that is young in age like baby or a teenager.

24  and that you put on the new man which was created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness.

New man is kainos.

Kainos is something that is new because it’s never been seen, or it novel or unique, or out of the box. It’s not particularly new in age like neos.

I can say that a new car came to Miami. This car is a 1920 Rolls Royce. Though it’s old in age, it’s a new car, because there is only one in Miami, and it has never been seen.

So here, God  commands us to become created into a new, out of the box, novel, and unique humanity, which is none other than Christ in you.

This humanity is what people see and brings revival.

Now, let’s go to Colossians

Col 3:9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Again, we have the old man, the palaion man, the one who is old and decrepit in age.

10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

But now we see the mind of Paul, an amazingly spiritual man of God, at work.

Notice his keen play on words as compared to Ephesians.

The new man here is not kainos, but neos.

As you remember from Ephesians, neos is young in age, just like a baby or a teenager

Paul tells us that the humanity of Jesus is not only novel and unique and out of the box, but  also one who is young and fresh in chronological age just like a baby or teenager.

You can claim that the Holy Spirit renews you in physical age!

In eternity, we will always be young in age but the process begins right here and right now.

It’s up to you and me how far we want to go with Jesus.

The renewing of your thinking here is not to make it young in age, but rather, novel, unique and out of the box.

So let’s summarize what Paul says.

We are commanded to totally get rid of the old, decrepit, sin laden man, which is nothing more than our old identity, before Christ came into our lives.

But now the difference comes.

In order to be created into this novel, unique, out of the box humanity, which is Christ in you, your minds must be made brand new in age.

This means that a freedom from every chain, all wrong thinking, all history, and all our all old habits must be gradually purified, by the study of God’s word and our obedience to the voice of the Spirit.

The goal is to have a brand spanking new brain.

It is one that is as clean as a new blackboard.

The history of who we were is gone, erased forever, and Christ can begin to write a new history, His Story.

The creation of the novel, out of the box, never been seen humanity, is the result of a young and fresh mind, or a clean blackboard.

In Colossians, the humanity that we are created into is a brand spanking young in age, teenage humanity which will last forever.

This humanity is created by renewing our mind to think in a new, out of the box, unique and novel way just like Jesus does.

So God wants to bless us with both humanities and both minds right here and right now.

Both are a requirement.

Once again!

The new out of the box never been seen human being is created by renewing our mind to one which a baby or a teenager has.

The fresh and new in age teenage humanity is created  by renewing our mind to think in a new, out of the box, unique and novel way just like Jesus does.

We must hatch into this new humanity just like a chicken hatches out of an egg.

Why Is The Church Accused?

Eph 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us (ACCUSATIVE NOUN CASE) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

In the Greek, the accusative noun case is just what it says. The accusing finger points towards the object that will receive all judgment, sentence, or wrath. It’s a receptacle into where all is focused or pointed to. The accused object is the receptacle or the goal of the judgment.

If we turn this into something good, the object, placed in the accusative case, is the thing that all benefits is poured or funneled into.

The church is the entity into which all of God’s love, blessings, benefits, all that He is, and all the He wants to do, is focused into.

I call the church the receptacle of God’s funnel into which He pours all.

It’s up to us to increase our ability to receive.

His love and generosity are hyper transcendental.  It’s lavish above all limitations.

It’s limited by us and our boxed concepts. We have God, church, as matter of fact, all things in a box.

Romans 3: 27  Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through the law of faith.

Because faith is a law, we get what we believe for. If we ask from boxed thinking, God will give us from a box.

Luke 16:20  But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, who had been placed at his gate,

21  and longing to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. And even the dogs came and would lick his sores.

Lazarus faith level was to receive crumbs from the rich man’s table and that is what he got.

Are you believing for crumbs from the Lord’s table?

Sadly, most of the church is, and is getting just that by the law of faith.

Romans 12:2  And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

The purpose of renewing our minds is so that we can think without limits. So that we can receive hyper transcend tally and lavishly from a God that is such.

God is tired of boxed religion, boxed church, alas, of having Him in a box.

BREAK OUT!!

The church is the object of His love, we are the charming ones, we have been translated into kingdom of The Son of His Love, and we are His beloved.

Most healing will come as a revelation of how much He truly loves every last part of you. Where you are sick, receive His love into that very place.

You are the receptacle of His love.

You are the one to whom God’s positively accusing finger points to!

You are the receptacle of God’s massive funnel and He is always funneling into you.

RECEIVE,  RECEIVE,  RECEIVE !

Why Is A Christian Like Popeye The Sailor Man?

Eph 6: 10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

In the Greek:  “Be empowered in the Lord and in the domination or dominion exerted by His inner residing strength.”

  • This dominion or domination is what gives the Lord Jesus the ability to subdue all things back to Himself.
  •  The revelation of Christ within us, reveals the Christ who dominates and subdues all, thus setting us free.

This is what it means by “the power of his might.”

Do you remember the episodes of Popeye and Olive Oil?

This scripture is a perfect representation of what happened to Popeye.

Popeye was a fairly weak guy.

When he ate the can of spinach he became inwardly strong; his external arm muscles popped out, he then rang Bluto’s neck, and took the lovely Olive Oil back as his prized possession.

Or to paraphrase it in another way, the tremendous inner residing strength that is multiplied within Popeye at the eating of the can of spinach is translated into a manifestation of outward strength which caused him to dominate and conquer all, even Bluto.

So what is Paul commanding us to us? For us to be empowered with this powerful combo of God’s inward strength that turns into outward dominion.

  • The spinach is the revelation of Jesus in us.
  • We are strong if we eat of the spinach, Jesus Christ, but nothing if we don’t.
  • Every Christian is a Popeye. So eat Jesus, your spinach.

Joh 6:54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Joh 6:56  He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

What Is The Price of Excellence?

One of my father’s favorite saying is, “for everything in life there is a price to pay. The greater the thing, the greater the price.”

  • Excellence demands sacrifice.
  • Self-denial in many good things to focus on the few exceptional is the path to leadership.

Php 1:10  That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

  • The devil will give us the good, even the very good, if it will deviate us from the bull’s-eye of God’s  excellent will. Busyness is the path to the good. Hearing and obeying God’s narrow voice is the one to the excellent.
  • In proportion to how close we hit the bull’s eye of His straight and chiseled ways is our proportion of anointing and success with God.

2Co 2:11  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. ( injected demonic thoughts into our thinking as schemes)

  • The devil’s greatest lie is to inject the symptoms of sickness, anxieties, and fears  as thoughts into the thinking of a person in an attempt of making her believe that she is the one with the problem when in reality it’s an external attack.
  • The word’s most wretched individual is the uncommitted Christian. She is the one with a foot in God’s kingdom and one in the world. She draws a line in the sand to the Lord. The Bible calls her lukewarm

Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles ( methodologia ) of the devil.

  • Satan’s kingdom volleys against the Christian with the  fiery darts of lying methodologies.  As long as we believe the lie, the devil will hit and hit.

Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

  • It’s the knowledge of the truth which frees us.
  • If we think something to be God’s Word and yet it’s not, but we erroneously think  that it is, it won’t liberate us.

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed  (metamorphosed)  by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

  • God’s kingdom functions by our metamorphosis and transformation into the image of Christ. Only the image of Christ attains to the victory.
  • Anyone who has noted an ugly caterpillar metamorphosed into a beautiful butterfly, appreciates the difficulty of the work.

For the Christian, transformation into the image of Christ is no different.

Micah 2:13  The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.

The prophet Micah, calls God the breaker, or The One with the breaker anointing.

  • God always functions in breakthrough.

There is no more effective way to release the breaker anointing than by intercession on our knees.

  • Because I grew up without email, Facebook  and cell phones , or pastors who took out time to speak into my life, I learned to get what I needed on my knees.

There is no greater thing than procuring from God  on your knees.

It all comes down to desperation. God is a God who pours out His holy fire on our altars of desperation.

How far, how high, how free, and how healed do you want to be?

Mt 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Nothing has changed in the Bible.  What was then, today is.

As my father said, “for everything in life there is a price to pay. The greater the thing, the greater the price.”

Armor

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong (constantly strengthened with dunamis power) in the Lord, and in the power ( dominion) of his might ( inward strength).

11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil.

This verse commands us to continuously receive this dunamis power of the Lord so that He can be progressively revealed in our lives as the Christ that dwells in our hearts. This is the fullness of revelation.

The dunamis power of the Lord in verse 10 is defined as the display of the Lord’s outward dominion brought about by His inward strength.  This is what it means by “ the power of his might.”  This is sort of what happens to Pop Eye when he eats the can of spinach.  The tremendous inward strength that is multiplied within him is translated into a manifestation of outward strength which caused him to dominate and conquer all, even Bluto the bad man, who ran after beautiful Olive Oil.

This domination of external circumstances is called “dominion” and is in indeed the same as Lord’s dominion over all His creation.

The Lord’s dominion or manifested expression of the strength that resides within Him is found in His dunamis power. The extent of the Lord’s dominion that is transported by his dunamis power is His ability to subdue all things unto Himself.

Philippians 3:21  Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

The amount of God’s dunamis power working in us is measured as to how much we are allowing the Lord to subdue or bring the dominion of all things unto Himself.

The fullness of revelation of the Son is the fullness of the Lord’s power.  The fullness of revelation is the Christ dwelling, and not struggling, or competing with something else in our hearts.

The more that we live out of the dunamis power of the Lord because we have yielded our life in all meekness to the Lord the more that we shall see the Lord subdue all things underneath our feet.

This is the reality of our putting on the full armor of God.

The Secret Society

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us

All of God’s fullness is permanently resident within Christ, and Christ resides within His saints.

So the fullness of what God has and what God wants to do is given to the church.

The church is the society which makes the invisible God, visible.

She is the most powerful human entity on planet earth, if she functions as God intends her to be.

The church is a secret society, for it manifests the invisible riches of God which dwell in mysteries, or secrets.

Spiritual gifts are used to take portions of God’s invisible riches dwelling in secrets, and energize them through the church in a visible form called glory, into the world.

The tools which the church uses to do this are spiritual gifts. This is why spiritual gifts cannot be prohibited.

The churches job is to make the invisible God visible, no more, and no less!

Ephesians 1:23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

The action of God’s fullness is to fill every part of every believer with His secret riches and then to fill every aspect of the world with His glory, utilizing the church, as she displays God’s secret riches visibly back into the world now as glory.

Eph 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The invisible and secret mysteries of Christ are made known through revelation.

Our physical senses cannot access them.

This is why having a spirit of wisdom and revelation, for the saint, is the most important thing.

Without revelation, the mysteries of God dwelling in secret, will remain as secrets.

Revelation comes by the voice of the Holy Spirit.

This is why the saint must learn how to tune in into the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

God desires to reveal His mysteries to the world, but only has the church to do so.

She is the secret society.

Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

A dispensation is defined as the administration or the management of a house or property.

It is God’s management or administration in  the fullness of times, to sum up all things into and for Himself.

God uses His church, to make manifest, progressively known, and effectively working the ongoing activity and consummation of this part of His administration.  She is the secret society.

For this purpose the church has received the fullness of God, His secret riches.

The church is used to  sum up all things in the world back to God. She is the secret society.

God uses His church, to make manifest, progressively known, and effectively working within this world and the universe the ongoing activity and consummation of this part of His administration.

Ephesians 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

The saints therefore are the element in which God’s fullness is deposited, energized and made known as riches in the mode of glory.

The hope of the calling is the call and invitation of God which is received with total obedience.

When the call is received with obedience and ministry is accomplished in oneness and identicalness to the Spirit, it becomes an effectual call, or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective,  and to carry out what it is supposed to do through us.

The hope of our calling becomes a reality through each saint’s obedient response to the call of God.

The hope of our calling is based then upon an effectual call; or to those to whom God’s call has come with effect.  It is the call of God to a believer or church that has been answered by a totally obedient response.

When the call is received with obedience, it becomes an effectual call or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective, operational and carry out the manifestations of the invisible mysteries of God in the visible form of glory.

Are you fulfilling this?

Eph 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Praise to God is extracted by this revealed glory in the sphere of the church

She is the secret society.

We are the secret society”   Todd Rundgren

Understanding the Armor of God

· The full armor of God comes from a Greek word that in reality means the “full array of the weapons that belong to God.”

· My experience as a believer concerning the putting on of the armor of God has been one where I have been taught to every day by prayer or “positive confession” put on the armor piece by piece. Though these things are not wrong in themselves, I believe that there is a great deal more to effectively and correctly put on the full armor of God.

· I would like to make a comment concerning “positive confessions.” The scriptural definition of “confession” is the outward testimony or evidence that our mouths give as to the reality of what is happening inwardly with us. Confession is the outward act that our mouths give in agreement to our spiritual state with the Lord.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

· The word of our testimony that causes us to overcome the enemy is more than a simple spouting off of scriptures and prayers at the devil. The devil must see the testimony or evidence of our lives before him. A believer’s life that is pure and free because it has gone through the cross of Christ and has been raised up to manifest His glory, is the word of our testimony or evidence that will overcome the devil because he sees the presence of the Lord in our lives and flees.

· Yes, it is supremely importance to confess who we are in Christ, but it will not be enough to overcome the Evil One if the confession of our position in Christ does not agree with our obstinate disobedience and bondages inwardly in our lives. The devil sees, laughs, and will leave us alone so that we may continue blinded and rebellious. He has no fear of us, he only fears the revealed Lord.

· We can confess scriptures at the enemy until we are blue in the face. However if we have unrepentant sin in our lives, right at that very spot, the enemy will have a claw dug deep into us until the time that we repent or until the time we die in our unrepentance.

· The same thread of thought can be found in the concept of binding and loosing. I am not against verbal binding and loosing. I use it all the time in spiritual warfare and deliverance and see the powerful effect of it. However the completion of binding and loosing has to do with forbidding and permitting. Absolute binding of the enemy can only come through a life that is whole and free in the Lord and permits not part of the enemy’s methods to touch it.

· Please look with me at the one example of true binding as found in John 14:30

John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Eph 6:10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

· As I did this study I was amazed to find that almost every instance in which Paul commands us to take a step of action in putting on the full armor of God, it occurs in the Greek aorist tense.

· By steps of action I am talking about such instances as “putting on”, “to stand”, “take unto you” and “having done all to stand” to name a few.

· A while back we had studied the Greek aorist tense. This Greek verbal tense is similar to the English past tense, but it is actually stronger. The aorist tense is called the tense of punticular action, which is fancy word for a “punctuation mark.”

· The aorist tense is an event that produces a punctuation mark on history’s time line. It is one such as the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross. At one set instance of time in history, the Lord said “it is finished” bowed down his head, and gave up the Ghost. This event is a punctuation time on the face of history, forever more marked, and recorded.

· Our putting on the full array of the Lord’s weaponry must be done as a once and for all putting on which produces a historical punctuation mark, and then never taking it off again. Sounds confusing? I will explain.

· Let it suffice at this moment to say that if we through our prayers and positive confession are to put on the full array of God’s weaponry daily, then Paul could not have used the aorist tense. He should have said, “Continue to put on daily the full armor of God.”

· Secondly, the weaponry of God put on by daily prayer and positive confession will only be partially effective in a believer’s life that has unrepentant sin and significant bondage. The word of our testimony won’t line up right in the eyes of the devil.

· It is my belief that the absolute and complete putting on of the Lord’s armor can only be progressively accomplished as we attain to the maturity of the stature of Christ by becoming as free and holy as He is and conformed to His image.

· The full armor of God is nothing else then the fullness of the revelation of the Son of God in our lives. This is why Paul tells us in Romans 13:14…

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Eph 6:10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

· For us to begin our study on the armor of God we must first look back to Ephesians 3:16 & 17.

Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

· We have taught before that the glory of the Lord is the invisible God made visible.

· Whenever the Lord is made visible there are riches that belong to the glory or to His visibility.

· It is the riches that make the Lord visible that likewise inwardly strengthen us with the dunamis power of the Lord. This is because the glory of the Lord contains within it the dunamis power of God.

· The dunamis power of God is the vehicle that transports the riches of the glory of God from the spiritual realm, and manifests them out into a lost and dying world through us.

· Verse seventeen tells us that this same dunamis power working in us reveals the Person of Christ within us. In other words, God’s dunamis power manifests the Person of Christ to us through revelation. Dunamis power is God’s great transporter from the spiritual to the physical.

· The fullness of the revelation of Christ in our lives is “the Christ that dwells in our hearts.” There is a difference between living in a house and dwelling in a home. The person that dwells within a home has taken residence and settled down in that home. She or he feel welcomed in their home, they have absolute control over the home, and do as they please within it. Conversely speaking, as we allow the Lord Jesus to dwell and have full sway in our hearts, He will reveal Himself fully.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Eph 6:10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

· Ephesians chapter six and ten commands us to continuously receive this dunamis power of the Lord so that He can be progressively revealed in our lives as the Christ that dwells in our hearts. This is the fullness of revelation.

· The dunamis power of the Lord in verse 10 is defined as the display of the Lord’s outward dominion brought about by His inward strength. This is what it means by “the power of his might.” This is sort of what happens to Pop Eye when he eats the can of spinach. The tremendous inward strength that is multiplied within him at the eating of the can of spinach is translated into a manifestation of outward strength which caused him to dominate and conquer all, even Bluto the bad man who ran after beautiful Olive Oil.

· This domination of external circumstances is called “dominion” and is in indeed the same as Lord’s dominion over all His creation.

· The Lord’s dominion or manifested expression of the strength that resides within Him is found in His dunamis power. The extent of the Lord’s dominion that is transported by his dunamis power is His ability to subdue all things unto Himself.

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

· The amount of God’s dunamis power working in us is measured as to how much are we allowing the Lord to subdue or bring the dominion of all things unto Himself. The fullness of revelation of the Son is the fullness of the Lord’s power. The fullness of revelation is the Christ dwelling, and not struggling, or competing with something else in our hearts.

· The more that we live out of the dunamis power of the Lord because we have yielded our life in all meekness to the Lord the more that we shall see the Lord subdue all things underneath our feet. This is the reality of our taking up the full armor of God.

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

· The apostle Paul tells us in First Corinthians one and twenty-four that Christ is the dunamis power of God. Christ does not give us the power of God. THE LORD IS THE POWER OF GOD! Therefore the more that Christ is revealed within us the more that the dominion of God to subdue all things under our feet becomes an automatic and effortless reality that is assimilated into our being.

Eph 6:10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

· We seen therefore that this is the key to our putting on the full armor of God

· The full armor of God is the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ brought to us by his dunamis power as an expression of the outward dominion of His inner strength.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

· “That ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” is defined in verse eleven as having enough of God’s dunamis power manifested inwardly so as to allow us to hold our ground against the “methods” of the enemy and to never to lose it again.

· My friends, we can never accomplish this by putting on a daily armor through prayer and positive confession. This is the result of the revelation of the Lord that subdues every part of our lives into submission to His will.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

· We can translate verse thirteen like this. Take (aorist tense) therefore the fullness of the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ into your lives so that you will have the dunamis power to stand face to face against (the whole of the demonic hierarchy) in the evil day…

· “And having done all, to stand.” Do you remember the cartoons of the Coyote and the Road Runner? These guys would get into a tizzy of a fight and kick up a ball of dust so big that they would be lost within it. When the dust finally cleared up the coyote was on the ground and the roadrunner was always left standing.

· This is exactly what it means to “and having done all, to stand”. Simply speaking in every spiritual dust ball that is kicked up in our lives, as we struggle against sin, Satan, and the world, we must remain standing at the end of every contest, and our spiritual foes must be found powerless at our feet. We can only attain this through the revelation of the Son of God.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

· In verse fourteen, the apostle Paul begins his step-by-step explanation on putting on the armor of God.

· “Having your loins girt about with truth”. A belt is used to keep our clothing intact. When we put our shirt our blouse inside our pants or skirt, and place some type of belt around our waist, the belt itself keeps these articles of clothing in place.

· Truth is what is genuine, accurate, and in accordance to fact. It is not what we believe from error or in misunderstanding of the word of God that will set us free, but what we believe about the Word which is its essence, reality, and accuracy.

· Understanding and living out the word of God in truth will keep the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ intact in our lives. There are no shortcuts to knowing the Word of God in truth. It takes time in the research and study of the Word, and an intimate walk with the Lord that will bring forth revelation knowledge of His Word.

· The breastplate of righteousness is a breastplate made purely out of righteousness. Now, I know, that we are the righteousness of God in Christ, but this alone is not sufficient for us to come face to face against the devil and leave him limp on the ground before our feet. Our hearts must be purified to become as righteous as the Lord Himself. The pure in heart will have the Lord Jesus revealed in their lives. Revelation takes purity, and purity is the result of a very intimate walk with the Lord. Intimacy allows us to dwell frequently in the presence of the Lord. It is His presence that sets us free.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

· Greek; He shall render the Wicked one useless and non-operational with the manifestation of His presence.

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

· Greek: Having your feet undergirded (aorist tense) so as to walk with the readiness of the good news that brings peace.

· Paul tells us here that the conducting of our lives in this world among believers and non-believers must be accomplished by our being ready or prepared to offer the good news that brings peace to them.

· Peace is the same word as “shalom” in the Hebrew, and talks about the wholeness and freedom of the Lord worked into our lives through His revelation that finally brings us into a state of tranquility and peace. This peace is the result of the Lord having subdued all things, which are not of Him underneath our feet and settings us free.

· We can only preach the gospel prepared in such a way that it will bring others into this same state of “shalom” only when we first experience it. We can only give to others what we have inside of us.

· Secondly, Paul’s definition of the gospel that brings peace teaches us that the gospel that bring cannot be mere words, but it must include our discipling and mentoring people and setting them free so that they may do the work of the ministry.

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

· Literally it is a shield that is made up purely of faith.

· As we have discussed before, the standard of God’s faith for us is found in His rhema word, or the voice of His Spirit.

· We must not walk in accordance with our own flimsy faith but with the Lord’s faith.

· Therefore taking the shield, which is made up of God’s faith, is a command for us to walk by the voice of the Holy Spirit from moment to moment. The rhema word of God not only has resident within it God’s measure of faith and power to make it come to pass, but God’s rhema word also reveals the Person Lord Jesus Christ into every situation in which it is spoken.

John 17:8 For I have given unto them the rhema words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

· Diversities of operations as found in 1 Corinthians 12:6 tells us that the Lord will manifest Himself through the rhema word in accordance with how the circumstances warrant it and in accordance to the personality and the giftings of the human vessel that He manifests Himself through. Every rhema word will manifest the Lord through the diversities of operations.

1 Cor 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

· When we walk taking the shield of God’s faith, we operate by His rhema word, and the faith, power, and the revelation of the Son of God will subdue all the “methods” of the enemy against us, thus quenching all of his fiery darts.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

· The sword of the Spirit is defined in the Greek as the “rhema word” of God and not the logos word. I believe that this is self-explanatory to all of us.

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

· Greek: Using all general prayers and specific petitions at all times in the Spirit to accomplish the state of being awake and attentively guarding all saints. This guarding in the Spirit for all saints is executed through the means of a constant steadfast devotion and individual petitions for them.

· My friends, I will be the first one to confess right here that I am not too close to fulfilling the requirements of verse eighteen.

· Selfishness is nothing else than our attentive indulgence upon ourselves because we are still bound up with hurts, fears and sin. Selfishness is introspective self-absorption because we are hurting, and still need to become free, and we focus upon ourselves so as to make ourselves free. As we become free in the Lord our attention starts to become diverted to others needs rather than ours, and we become “selfless” instead of selfish.

· The result of having put on the full armor of God, which is the full revelation of Christ, is that our prayers are now so “others centered” that through our constant devotion to individual petitions for many Christian brethren, we keep them spiritually guarded. It takes a person that is really, really, free in the Lord by His revelation to do something like this!

19 ¶ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

· Greek: ( paraphrase)And for me that words may be given so that when I open my mouth to proclaim the mystery of the gospel I will do it without fear, embarrassment, intimidation, or hindrances. In other words I will tell is as it is.

· There are two points of importance in this scripture. First, the result of conducting our lives in the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ is that His revelation subdues and conforms us to the image of His liberty and wholeness. His Person has no fear, or embarrassment, or hindrance associated with it. This is the definition of scriptural “boldness” and only a believer that is approaching wholeness in the Lord can preach the word of God with “boldness.”

· Secondly, we cannot, and must never preach the gospel, with the dry and crusty words of religion, but in the power of the rhema word of God.

Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the rhema word of his dunamis power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

· The mystery of the gospel is the Christ that is hidden within each of us. As we obey the Lord without compromise, and walk by His Spirit, The Lord is revealed within us. It is the revealed Christ within us that we must preach without. THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF MINISTRY, MY FRIENDS!

· The Christ that we reveal to the world through our preaching must be done in relationship to the spiritual gifts, ministries and callings that the Lord has given to us.

· Paul here defines for us in one verse the true minister of the Lord. “In all liberty, freedom, fearlessness, and absence of bondage, manifest to a lost and dying world the Christ within you through your spiritual gifts and ministries.”

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Finally, I would like to in this last scripture divert your attention to the words “as I ought to”. In the Greek these are translated as “is necessary for me, or is the necessity in every case”. Paul leaves us in his great discourse of the full armor of God with the following injunction. “It is the necessity in every case that I reveal the Christ within me in the liberty and freedom that has come to me because I have been conformed to the image of Christ.”
