The Reality of Abundance

Lu 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The “pressed down, and shaken together and running over,” is an anointing accessible to all who adopt a lifestyle of giving by the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Give and it shall be given unto you; is in the present tense. Our giving must be continual and in the present.

This is not only money. It’s a lifestyle which regularly gives out by the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Pressed down and shaken together, are in the perfect, passive participle structure.

This syntax is the most powerful description of existence, state, or reality.

If you are an active giver the “pressed down, and shaken together and running over” becomes your reality and mode of existence.

God will bring you into it.

How would you like to perpetually receive from the Lord, and I am not just talking of money?

This is God’s natural way of being. God is a God of infinite abundance.

Finally, wealth management in God’s economy begins with faithful tithing on the gross.

I’ve been a Christian for thirty six years. Those who did not regularly tithe on the gross were always in financial problems.

Those who faithfully did, God got them out of them all.

The Good Measure Pressed Down Anointing

Since I have increased my financial giving into the realm of the generosity, which is difficult for me, we have received sizable and unexpected financial blessings. No, there is no financial formula. No, it has not come back in the next day. No, there has been no financial angel sent to me. Yes, it has required faith and obedience and can be scary. I say this today, because I believe one reason why numerous in the church are struggling financially is because they don’t tithe and they are not generous with their money, by the voice of the Holy Spirit, above and beyond their tithe.

Lu 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

During our prayer meeting last night I realized that the “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together and running over,” is an anointing that we can enter in, receive, and work in, if we are givers by the Spirit of God.

You need to get into the habit of continually sowing by the rhema word of God to see the experiential reality of this. I must confess that I have not seen this because, I am not a great sower. Yes, I give, but I still have fear and I still count my chickens before they hatch, so to speak, when it comes to money. Yet, God revealed this to me and I am excited, and at the same time a bit fearful, which I know it’s not from the Lord.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; Is in the present tense. We must be giving so that it is given back.

Pressed down, and shaken together; are both in the perfect, passive participle order. This grammatical combination is the most powerful sign of existence, realm, state, or reality in the Greek. In other words, if you are an active sower, the reality or the anointing surrounding your life will be one where God is giving back to you in a way where blessings are being pressed together and shaken or sifted so He can give you more. This will become your natural mode of living.

The running over or overflowing is in the present signifying a continuous process.

How would you like to live in this mode of receiving from the Lord, and I am not just talking about money. This is God’s natural way of being. God is a God of infinite abundance that must be entered into by ever-increasing faith on our part. Our hindrance is our unrenewed mind.

2 Corinthians 9:6  But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Greek: “He that soweth upon a real blessing shall reap upon a real blessing.”

What the apostle Paul has in mind when he tells us to sow bountifully is that our sowing must be of such quality and in such quantity that it will reach to produce a real blessing upon someone else. God will give something that will produce a real blessing upon your life

Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Hebrew :I will open to you the crevices of heaven and empty out to you blessing till you have no sufficient storage for it.

Jaws and the American Dollar

This vision was given to me about two years ago.

As in the Jaws film where the unsuspecting swimmers are attacked by a huge shark, I saw swimmers gingerly swimming across the ocean blue. Huge sharks approached them from behind. The life guard who was a Christian prophet got up from his chair and blared out the warning of an impending attack. The swimmers were deaf and continued to swim on. These sharks were weird, though. They had the nose or snout of the a pig. They would approach the swimmers from behind and hit them with their snouts, but did not attack them. Because the sharks had not attacked, but simply butted the swimmers with the their noses, the former continued to feel safe, though many large sharks were in the waters.

As more and more sharks came unto the scene, the Christian life guard not only got up again and screamed, but got a megaphone and repeatedly uttered his voice onto the waters.

Suddenly the attack came. It happened in seconds. It was not an attack of carnage and blood. It was more one like countless household fuses massively short circuiting all at once. I could not see the sharks attack but I saw a mass and instantaneous short circuiting and explosive electronic power traverse across the waters.

I immediately saw the dollar sign and knew that it had to do with the demise of the American dollar and our economy. Every swimmer appeared dead as he or she floated head down, and back exposed in the ocean waters. Fortunately, there had been no carnage and the swimmers were not dead. They were all unconscious. The impact of the sudden electronic attack had rendered them unconscious.

Watchman Nee, the great Chinese apostle said that the only way to save a drowning man is to allow him to go unconscious and then he can be pulled safely out of the water. If a person attempts to save a drowning person when he is still kicking and flaying, both him and the one drowning will be pulled down to their deaths. So it is with a soul who does not know the Lord. While he is still arguing, and debating, and challenging the power and love of God, it is futile in many ways to continue to talk to him. We must wait until the circumstances of life and the folly of his own sins make him unconscious and then we can bring him to Christ.

I suspect from this that the demise of our dollar and economy which will make many unconscious, in hopelessness, distraught, and turmoil will prepare this country for a mighty revival of religion in Jesus Christ.
