I’m Going To Kill The Bear!

Charles:   We’ll have to distract him and trap him, but it can be done.

Do you believe it, Bob?

You believe it?

Robert:   I don’t know Charles.

I don’t think it’ll work.

Charles:   It will work!

Robert:   No!

Charles:   It will work. What one man can do another can do.

Robert:   You can’t kill the bear, Charles. He’s…

He’s ahead of us all the time, like he’s reading our minds.

He’s stalking us, for God’s sakes!

Charles:   You want to die out here, huh? Well, then die.

But I tell you what… I’m not gonna die. No, sirree. I’m not gonna die. No, I’m gonna kill the bear. Say it, “I’m gonna kill the bear. I’m gonna kill the bear!” Say it!

Robert:   I’m gonna kill the bear.

This discourse came from an awesome movie, “The Edge”, with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin.

When I saw this movie I was battling rejection from years as a severe stutterer.

I was tormented with massive insecurity issues.

The devils of fear, which had tormented me from childhood, still played mayhem with my brain.

The first rays of self-esteem were now breaking through.

All my life I had compared myself to others in the dungeon of self-criticism.

As this famous dialogue between Alec Baldwin and Anthony Hopkins ensued, God broke through.

Trapped in icy Alaskan tundra after an airplane crash, Hopkins and Baldwin are being stalked by a killer grizzly bear. Baldwin (Robert) is convinced that he and Hopkins (Charles) will come to a ghastly end in the teeth of the mammoth creature.

Baldwin paralyzed by dread is angrily challenged by Hopkins and these famous words.

“What one man can do another can do…” . But I tell you what… I’m not gonna die. No, sirree. I’m not gonna die. No, I’m gonna kill the bear. Say it, “I’m gonna kill the bear. I’m gonna kill the bear!” Say it!

I’m gonna kill the bear!!!   I’m gonna kill the bear!!!

In this scene, God’s lightning bolt knocked me off from the horse of fear as His voice boomed into my heart.

It was the beginning of my road to victory.

What Billy Graham can do, you can do.

What Billy Graham can do, you can do. : Say it again!

What Billy Graham can do, you can do. What Billy Graham can do, you can do.

I’m gonna kill the bear of comparison!” Say it! I’m gonna kill the bear of comparison. Say it again.

What Kathryn Kuhlman can do, you can do.

What Kathryn Kuhlman can do, you can do. : Say it again!

What Kathryn Kuhlman can do, you can do. What Kathryn Kuhlman can do, I can do.

I’m gonna kill the bear of fear!” Say it! I’m gonna kill the bear of fear. Say it again.

What Smith Wigglesworth can do, you can do.

What Smith Wigglesworth can do, you can do. : Say it again!

What Smith Wigglesworth can do, you can do.   What Smith Wigglesworth can do, you can do

I’m gonna kill the bear of rejection!” Say it! I’m gonna kill the bear of rejection.

Say it again.

What Charles Finney can do, you can do.

What Charles Finney can do, you can do.   Say it again!

What Charles Finney can do, you can do. What Charles Finney can do, you can do.

I’m gonna kill the bear of pain!” Say it! I’m gonna kill the bear of pain. Say it again.

Go, and kill your bears; I say to you again…. GO KILL YOUR BEARS!

Tofu

What is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? It’s kind of like tofu. I will explain.

When John the Baptist baptized the Lord Jesus River for the repentance of sins, the Lord was submerged underneath the water. This act of submergence and His emerging out of the water had much more significance than the simple physical act of plunging into the waters of the Jordan.

Symbolically speaking, when the Lord was immersed in the water He portrayed the burying of humanity’s old life without God.

His coming up out of the water was symbolic of humanity coming forth out into a new life free from sin, to serve the living God.

In my case, days after being baptized into the Atlantic Ocean, I started to experience a freedom from sinful habits that I had not been able to until then. The simple act of submersion and emergence from those cold February waters had an influence or effect back on me.  The immersion and emergence from the waters had in a way set me free.

The baptism of in the Holy Spirit has the very same effect on us, just in a different dimension.

Mark 1:8  I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you (Immerse, and submerge you) with ( Greek grammar case of location. Not “with” but “in”; residing within a location, or a domain, world and its sovereignty) the Holy Ghost.

While John baptized INTO the water for the forgiveness of sins, the Lord Jesus baptizes INTO the Holy Ghost.  Why is the baptism in the Holy Spirit so important?

Mat 26:41  Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing,  (Greek: a “ready mind”)  but the flesh is weak.

The world of the Spirit is as that of a “continual ready mind” or a mind that is in perpetual state of readiness, while the world of the flesh is weak and infirm.

Biblical baptism entails the imbuement or submersion of one object into a second object. The submergence or immersion of the first item into a second item places the first item into the location or inside the world or domain where the second item resides.

Once within the sphere of the second item’s world, this latter one can now exercise its influence back upon the first one, even to the point of changing the first item to resemble it, by permeating it with its qualities and characteristics.

The effect of the second item working its effect and influence back through to the first item as it permeates it and changes it is called the instrumentality of the second object.

Galatians 3:27 tells us that we are located in the sphere of the world of Christ, so that Christ can work instrumentally back through us, by affecting us, to conform us to His image.

Gal 3:27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ(submerged into the domain, sphere, or world of Christ’s influence and sovereignty ) have put on Christ (now wear Christ, whom as clothes which totally cover us, influences and affects back through us to conform us into His image.)

I once read an excellent example of Biblical baptism.  In the days of Christ there was a recipe to create a “pickled” vegetable.  It was said that a vegetable was BAPTISED into THE LOCATION or SPHERE of a vinegar solution.  After a while, the vinegar WORKED INSTRUMENTALLY BACK through the vegetable and “pickled” it.

Tofu, likewise, acquires the taste and texture of any food that it is baptized into.  We can say that with whatever food the tofu is BAPTISED INTO, it is INSTRUMENTALLY influenced back by that food to make the tofu like it.

On this 07/14/2013:

“As I was people watching yesterday during the expo, I couldn’t help to see where we, humanity, have gotten to. If we, the Church, do not rise and begin to truly pray, cry out with moaning and groans and allow the Holy Spirit to fully and completely flow thru us… What inheritance are we leaving for our children, for all the next generations? We are looking too much like the church of Laodecia Something HAS to give. What “that” something is.. is on us.” Yazmin Gonzales

Body of Christ the greatest favor that we can do for our nation is to get on our knees and pray for her. Only God has the solutions.

Instead of getting caught up in the turmoil of a broken world come into the peace of the presence of God. You are crucified to the world.

This is an opportune time for the church to get on her knees and pray for broken humanity, that it would find its answers in God.

One more thought before I run to church. Body of Christ, we are called to be healers. Amen!

Once again another tremendous move of the Spirit during prayer time at Doral Vineyard. Nearly two hours of prayer. I did one my favorite things. Five or six people including two kids whom I don’t think have ever ministered or ministered sparingly in the Spirit, had a chance to. Discipleship and raising others is at the center of God’s heart. Everybody was massively touched, everybody had a great time. I can say that the most enjoyable experience affordable to man is getting touched by the Spirit of God.

What a suitable time for the church to get on its knees until God shed His power on this great country. May the church have an understanding of the times!

1Ch 12:32 And of the sons of Issachar, having understanding for the times, to know what Israel should do; their heads are two hundred, and all their brethren are at their command.

We sang this song at church on this 07/14/2013

Lyrics to Holy Visitation:

Sound the alarm gather the people, gather the elders let ministers wail.
Take back the years the enemies stolen, Lord you are coming with holy visitation.

Sound the alarm, awaken the watchmen open their ears let their voices be alarmed. We prophecy you will come to this nation, touch this generation with a holy visitation.

(We return to you)
We return to you fasting and seeking and praying, Oh my Lord you’re returning.

We are here weeping between porch and altar, pore out your spirit on your sons and your daughters!

(We dance) We dance we shout, we lift up our voice let your kingdom come down (2x)

Oh sound the alarm, awaken the watchmen open their ears let their voices be loud. We prophecy you will come to this nation touch this generation with a holy visitation (holy visitation)

(We return to you)
We return to you fasting and seeking and praying, Oh my Lord you’re returning. We are here weeping between porch and altar, pour out your spirit on your sons and your daughters.

(We dance)
We dance we shout, we lift up our voice let your kingdom come down(4x)

Oh(5x)

“There came silence in the heaven about half-an-hour,” I believe that America is entering a time of holy silence, a silence before the breakthrough of God.

And finally on this 07/14/2013

Eighteen minutes of exquisite soaking music from Alberto and Kim Rivera for you to go to bed by!  Many blessings

“A Jell-O Forehead”

Ezekiel 3:4  And He said unto me, “Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with My words unto them.

5  For thou art not sent to a people of strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel,

6  not to many people of strange speech and of a hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

7  But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee, for they will not hearken unto Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

8  Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

9  As an adamant, harder than flint, have I made thy forehead. Fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.”

In chapter three, Ezekiel receives God’s prophetical calling.  God instructs him  that he would not be sent to a land far away, but would preach to his very own Jewish people.

The Lord furthermore tells Ezekiel not to fear their backbiting comments and arrogant gazes.  He has made the prophet’s forehead harder than adamant, and harder than theirs.

Adamant is a stone, a gem. It is denoted as tougher in quality than a diamond.

There is no material than can scratch the surface of a diamond, yet the diamond  scratches anything. It is considered as the most hardened of nature’s elements. Yet, the surface of the adamant can be more impenetrable or indurated than the diamond’s.

A person’s forehead communicates many things.

An erect face and forehead is a sign of confidence, determination and purpose.

Look at Luke’s description of Jesus.

Lu 9:53  And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

A downcast face portrays depression or defeat. Eyes which can’t look at you articulate either insecurity, rejection or dishonesty.

A bull pushes with his forehead.

An individual crushed in spirit hangs his forehead in shame.

God gave me these verses right after my salvation in 1979 as I sat in an empty church.

These words rang loud and true in my spirit. In thirty years it has proven to be one of most dynamic of prophecies.

Back then however, these words appeared as an illusion, a hallucination, or a figment of imagination.

I had been a severe stutterer since I was four.  Rejection, insecurity, terror, and panic were my friends.  I knew nothing else.

I was still on drugs and booze.

I couldn’t speak to three people at a time. I would flee from a ringing phone.

I had the most frail of foreheads. I couldn’t look at anybody in the eye because of the speech impediment.

Like Moses I said, “Who me?”

Thirty  years later, these words have come to pass.

My wife and I do international Bible conferences. I can speak to any number of people. I rarely show recognizable signs of a speech impediment.

The telephone which was my greatest foe, is now a good friend.

I am able to lovingly confront anybody in the midst of an misunderstanding.

I treat the most insignificant and the most famous person equally.

I don’t back down from a challenge as long as I know that God is in it.

Truly God has given me a hard forehead. All glory goes to God and the work of his Holy Spirit.

God, many times, will take an individual’s greatest fears, or weaknesses, his handicaps and flaws and turn them into unconquerable attributes. I’ve seen this so often. This is how He glorifies Himself.

When I see a glaring weakness or handicap when counseling, I tell the person that God will probably raise him  to be just the opposite.

So today, look at your own life.

What is your greatest fear? What is that pesky bondage that you can’t overcome?  What is the handicap that is a thorn to  your side?

If you are truly obedient  to God, He will raise you up to do just the contrary, and probably through many great feats.

Don’t lose hope. Remember me. God gave me a diamond forehead for one of Jell-O.

The I Am Anointing

Matthew 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you (I with you am (present tense) alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The fullness of the essence of God in Christ as “I AM” is always found in the present and immediate tense.  God supersedes the dimension of time.

As with faith, in ministry, God’s power will not be sent to us in the future.  His healing will not take place in the future.  His fire will not be poured out upon us in the future. At the moment that He reveals that these things are for us in a ministry situation they are forevermore and immediately there. The “I” of Jesus is presently always with us in the am of time.

Mark 14:62  And Jesus said, I am (I am (present tense): and ye shall see the Son of man sitting(continually and constantly ruling and reigning….) On (Christ’s energy/ fuel source is power; the world in which Christ operatesis God’s power; andGod’s power does the work through Christ)  the right hand of power, and coming(continually and constantly) in the clouds of heaven.

·        As we live and minister in the timeless dimension of the immediacy of Christ’s continual “I AM ness”, His presence is always coming and is constantly present, in the sphere of God’s power.

·        His “I” always come sin the AM of time rooted in God’s power, continual ruling. and reigning.

John 8:42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came (Defined as :”Arrival” Christ is in a present and continuing and continual state of arrival ) from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

·        “Came” – This uncommon word describes to come in its dimension of arriving or arrival. Christ has arrived from God into our world, or more correctly because it is in the present tense, Christ is in a continuing state of arrival, confirming the timeless immediacy of the continual now of His presence. It is imperative that we ask God to deliver us into His world of the dimensionless ness of time. As long as see God as doing things for us in the future we will never work in miracles.

John 8:58  (AV) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

In the am of time Jesus always is in the mode of I

John 10:30  I and my Father are one. (Present tense).

Greek: “I and the Father one are” A perfect and continuous exchange of location in the father and the instrumentality of the father’s works back through Jesus.

·        The “I” and the “Father” are one in the same

John 10:38  But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

·        Greek: That in THE ME the Father just as I am Him

·        The I being in Jesus allows complete accessibility for all that Jesus has. Jesus now in this I allows for full effectiveness of His power and so forth.

John 14:7  (AV) If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

·        From now on you know Him progressively and have seen Him with perfect discernment

9  (AV) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

·        The one perfectly discerning me, perfectly has discerned the Father

John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in(Locative- in the world of) me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth (present participle- the continuing abiding in the world of the Spirit; necessary to produce miracles)  in me, he doeth(Present tense- the father performs the miracles in proportion to our abiding in the world of the Spirit) the works.

We have the timeless immediacy of faith at our disposal, as well as the continual and timeless immediacy of Jesus’ presence.  However, the continual and timeless immediacy of Jesus’ presence is also with the Father at the same moment that it with us. This guarantees the absolute effectiveness of our ministry, in that it is the Father who originates, energizes, produces and executes the works through Jesus. Christ’s presence with us in its timeless immediacy generates the works of the Father in their absolute perfection and effectiveness through us. This is because His presence is also in the timeless and continual fellowship with the Father.

The “I” in the Father allowing for access of all that our position in Christ has attained to.

The Father in ME is the I allowing for total effectiveness.

The Father which is now the ME does the works in the ME

·        Greek: The Father in or inside of “ME”, is.

John 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Greek: I in my Father, and you in me and I in you.

·        Jesus now teaches us that the believer lives with the Father and the Son in the same perfect exchange of location and instrumentality as the Father and the Son themselves enjoy. This is because Jesus lives in the world of the Father so that the Father simultaneously executes His works back through Jesus.

·        Now we also see that the believer has been placed in the world of Jesus so that Jesus can instrumentally work back His works through the believer. In reality God works through Jesus and back into us because we are in the world of Jesus and Jesus is in the world of the Father. The believer is God’s channel for God to take the invisible works of His kingdom and manifest them into them through Jesus and then visibly through them into the world order. The exact and same ability to do miracles just as Jesus did dwells in us.

John 16:28  I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: (I have come into the world system Perfect Tense)  again, I leave (I am constantly and continually releasing the world system)  the world, and go (I am constantly and continually journeying to  constantly and continually fellowship with the father) to the Father.

·        The perfect tense describes an event that has been accomplished and fully carried out in the past, but that its occurrence has an influence and an impact for us now and eternally forevermore. Jesus coming onto our world system is described in the perfect tense. His coming and presence for us is therefore in the timeless immediacy of the continual now. At the very same moment that Jesus is timelessly and immediately here.

He is timelessly and immediately releasing Himself from the world system to timelessly and immediately fellowship with the Father.

John 17:11  And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, which they may be one, as we are.

Greek: In order that they may be one (Present Subjunctive) in exactly the same way as us.

·        As the Son lives continuously from moment to moment in the world of the Father, the Father superimposes back upon those very same moments His works back through the Son. We must remember the timeless immediacy of the continual now in the workings of God.

In Jesus priestly prayer in John 17, He asks of the Father that the believers could work in exactly this very same fashion. The present subjunctive tense is one that emphasizes the will of the person.  In other words the believer is not guaranteed that automatically he or she will operate in the timeless immediacy of continually dwelling in the world of God so that God can continually work His works back through them.

Though positionally this is the true for every believer, the manifested reality of God from moment to moment flowing in His works back through the believer can only come as the believer out of his or her will dwells in the world of God from moment to moment.

·        To abide in Jesus is the same as living from moment to moment in the world of Jesus.

John 17:21  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Greek: that the may be one (Present Subjunctive) in exactly the same way that you Father in me, and I in you.

·        The prayer of Jesus is that the believer will from moment to moment live in the world of the Spirit so that the same perfect exchange of location in God and God instrumentality working His works back through them exactly as Jesus has with the Father, can take place in the believer. The believer has the same ability to work the works of Jesus to the degree that he or she lives as closely and dependent as Jesus lives in the world of the Father.

22  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Greek: That the may be one (Present Subjunctive) in exactly the same way that we one are (Present)

John 17:23  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

·        Greek: I in them, and you in me, that they may become matured and completed into the same finished product manifesting our exact oneness; so that the world system might from moment to moment learn and know that you sent me into it with a mission, and that mission being that you loved them in exactly the same way that you loved me.

·        To the degree that every believer operates from moment to moment in the world of God of God so that God can simultaneously and from moment to moment work back through the believer will be the same degree that the church will become matured and completed in the oneness that the Father and the Son have.  This oneness as we have learned is the perfect exchange of Jesus being located in God and God instrumentality working His works back through Him.  As the church operates in this oneness with God, He then has absolute liberty to work His miracles in His church, revealing Jesus and His mission to love the world in exactly the same way that the Father loves Him, and thus drawing the world unto Himself through the church.

Gal 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

·        Greek: Yet no longer I, but lives in the world that defines “ME”, Christ.
