How Can I Target My Prayers?

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Trues intercession functions by two aspects

# 1 Helpeth or helps

# 2 Intercession

“Helpeth” or help is made up of a word triad roughly translated as “together, coming face to face, in order to take a hold of.”

Helpeth our infirmities- The Holy Spirit comes face to face with us to take a hold of our infirmities or frailties.

Praying by the voice of the Spirit causes us to come together with God.

Then the Holy Spirit arises in our spirits and comes face to face with us in order take a hold of those difficulties.

Now let’s move on to “intercession.”

It is made up of two words rendered as “the hyper hitting of the target or bull’s eye”

The Spirit itself maketh intercession for us – “The Spirit hits the target above and beyond what is normal.” Or, “The Spirit does the right thing and does it with skill.”

In intercession by Spirit’s voice, God comes face to face to take a hold of our weaknesses, and to give us  breakthroughs with bull’s eye accuracy which only He through the Holy Spirit can deliver.

When we intercede in the Spirit, we dont go wrong.

For in it God comes face to face with us, takes a hold of our requests and performs them within the bull’s eye accuracy of His will.

Leverage!

You will get faster and more effective and efficient answers by asking God for them, and waiting silently for His wisdom, than by your trying to do it yourself.

In the entrepreneurial world the term leverage is widely used.

Leverage is employing a process which will give the greatest results for lessened effort.

Tim Ferris, the brilliant entrepreneur, states that it’s twenty percent of our most important resources which gets us eighty percent of the results.

This is leverage.

In God’s kingdom, maximum leverage is attained by obtaining God’s wisdom in the matter through the speaking of His voice.

You will gain more in ten minutes of receiving God’s specifics for the problem at hand than in ten years of trying to figure it out on your own.

So be still and listen for Him.

The Word is the Word, But Is It The Word?

John 1:1  In the beginning was the LOGOS (word), and the LOGOS(word) was with God, and the LOGOS(word) was God.
Matthew 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every RHEMA (word ) that proceeded (from moment to moment) out of the mouth of God.
The “logos” is the word of God given as an idea or a concept, usually in a written form.
Jesus is referred to as  the logos word because He provides  the idea or concept of who the invisible God is.  Jesus, explains God to humanity.
The “rhema” is a personally spoken, “through the mouth of God to us” word, given to arbitrate a particular circumstance.
We’ve said at one time or another, “this scripture leaped out at me!”  This is a rhema word.
Misunderstanding and ignorance of the differences between these two kinds of “words”, attributes to the weak state of the church, and can be your fine line between spiritual life and spiritual death.
Reading the Bible in English or Spanish you’d never know the difference between them, because both are translated as “word.”
The Strong’s number for the logos is 3056.
The Strong’s number for the rhema is 4487
There are 316 instances of the logos word.
There are 67 instances of the rhema word.
2Ti 2:15  Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
If knowing the difference between the logos and the rhema is a matter of life and death will you research it?

God Does Not Need Help, Just Our Obedience!

God does not need assistance through our own concocted good ideas  rather than by the voice of His Spirit.

Look no further than the story of Uzzah.

Uzzah was an enlisted man in King David’s service:

2 Samuel 6:3 And they put the ark of God on a new cart and took it out of the house of Abinadab which was on the hill: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were the drivers of the cart.

4 And Uzzah went by the side of the ark, while Ahio went before it.

5 And David and all the men of Israel made melody before the Lord with all their power, with songs and with corded instruments and instruments of brass.

6 And when they came to Nacon’s grain-floor, Uzzah put his hand on the ark of God to keep it safe in its place, for the oxen were out of control.

7 And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzzah, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there by the ark of God.

What Is The Lesson?

King David had assigned Uzzah to facilitate the transporting of the Ark of God back to Israel, after its release from enemy hands.

There came a point in the journey when the ark began to fall from the cart probably due to a treacherous  road which caused the oxen to freak out.

Uzzah reacted in human haste and wisdom to help the Ark from tumbling to the ground.

God immediately struck him dead!

Was God cruel? Absolutely not!

God did this to protect His character, His nature, and laws.

RULE # 1

Isa 48:11 For myself, even because of my name, I will do it; for I will not let my name be shamed; and my glory I will not give to another.

Human flesh cannot touch God’s glory and live.

RULE # 2

Ex 13:21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, guiding them on their way; and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light: so that they were able to go on day and night:

Don’t touch God’s glory, rather follow it.

 RULE # 3

Luke 5:5 And Simon, answering, said, Master, we were working all night and we took nothing: but at your word I will let down the nets.

In verse five, the word, word, is rhema, which is the word produced by the voice of God’s Spirit.

6 And when they had done this, they got such a great number of fish that it seemed as if their nets would be broken;

God does not need help through our own concocted good ideas or agendas rather than by the voice of His Spirit.

This is a big reason why churches are feeble in the manifested reality of Christ which they display to the world

When the church moves by the rhema word, she will see great fruit.

Until she does, she will continue to plant much and harvest little.

RULE # 4

2 Cor 3:7 For if the operation of the law, giving death, recorded in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the eyes of the children of Israel had to be turned away from the face of Moses because of its glory, a glory which was only for a time:

What is no birthed from the Spirit of God only gets His temporary blessing.

If we want His enduring blessing it will only come through what He dictates through His voice, not ours.

 RULE # 5

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things (energizes) according to the counsel of His will,

The energy of God increases or decreases in proportion to how closely or distant we do things from His will. I call this God’s Quantum Law of Energy.

RULE # 6

Mt 24:35 Heaven and earth will come to an end, but my words will not come to an end.

Only His word spoken from His Spirit endures forever, not our fleshly plans.

In 2015 the church needs much more of God’s Spirit and much less of her good ideas. Shalom!

Flesh cannot touch God and live. This is why God has passed a verdict and condemned our flesh to die. There is no hope for it, is in cancer stricken and it must go. God commands everything in regards to our relationship to Him, to die and be resurrected. Anything that is left of our flesh will only produce death and will hinder God’s work through us. Even our best-intentioned church programs and plans must all be taken through the cross of Christ, death and resurrection.

The Electrical Charge Inside The Christian

In the old cartoons of Popeye the sailor man, Popeye would eat a can of spinach, which gave to him inner strength as to his being. This strength was manifested as bulging muscles and an outward dominion, domination, that could subjugate and wipe out Bluto, his archenemy.

God’s power acts in the same fashion. God’s dunamis power is defined as the product of the dominion that God exerts over His creation, and over all that is not of Him, as a measure of His inner strength.

Let’s study it.

Eph  1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power ( DUNAMIS) to us-ward (FUNNELED INTO) who believe ( CONTINUALLY BELIEVING) , according to the working( ENERGY PUT OUT) of his mighty ( INNER SPIRITUAL STRENGTH) power,(EXTERNAL DOMINION)

What is the throwing beyond (homerun) greatness of His dunamis power funneled into us the ones believing according to the energy that is put out as God’s inner spiritual strength is translated into His external dominion.

Dunamis power is the inherent power within every created being, living, and non-living.  God has His own inherent dunamis power. Disease has its own type of dunamis power. Dunamis power is what distinguishes one object from the other, and gives to its life and power.

20 Which he wrought (ENERGIZED) in Christ, when he raised him from the dead (CORPSE), and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Which He energized (PAST TENSE) in Christ when He raised Him out of a corpse.

The fact that Christ was energized with this power makes Christ Jesus into a charged battery made up of the power which we just described.

Let’s look at this verb from a different position.

Eph 1:20 which is operative (He charged Christ with the energy charge of His power described in the above verse; just as a battery that is charged) in the Christ, rousing Him from among the dead and seating Him at His right hand among the celestials, (You have that battery called Christ Jesus, fully charged inside of you).

My friends, if we have Christ Jesus, we have excessive, surplus, redundant overwhelming power stored in us. Christ was charged with this power, just as a battery has a static electrical charge of stored energy. This charge of energy was produced when the Father raised Christ from a lifeless corpse, and caused Him to sit and reign over the universe with maximum power. We are permanently charged  in our spirit with this measure of charge of stored energy.

The Christian is greater than the energizer bunny.

The definition of God’s DUNAMIS POWER was the energy that was “put out” (in the historical event 2000 years ago), as Christ was raised up from a corpse and made to sit far above in rank, power, and physical distance over all principalities, powers, and might, dominions, and all names which are named both in heaven and upon the earth.

This dunamis power was once and for all energized INTO CHRIST. Because Christ lives in us, so does this DUNAMIS POWER.

However the living reality of this dunamis power, as it is funneled or manifested into us comes in proportion to our faith.

Let us look now in more detail now the properties of the dunamis power that we have resident within us and available to us when we walk in childlike obedience and faith

21 Far above all principality (BEGINNING), and power(AUTHORITY), and might, (DUNAMIS POWER) and dominion( LORDSHIP OR BONDAGE), and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Far above in rank, power, and physical distance

Every type of principality – Or the beginning of every created thing

We know a principality to be an authoritative demonic being.  However, in the NT, the word principality is also used for a physical beginning, the creation of something, and the root source of something.  The dunamis power of God in Christ, and available to us, is far above in rank and power, above every root problem such as generational sins, curses, judgments, and the root causes and beginnings in diseases.  This is very important to us when we minister.  A simple knowledge of this facet of God’s power will allow us to exercise God’s power with a new level of faith.

Authority: Power of choice; liberty to do as one pleases; jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road within a state; the power of rule and government

Authority is the power of choice; or the liberty to do as one pleases, such as the jurisdiction enjoyed by a state policeman or woman over every road and highway within the state wherein they work.  Cancer, for example has its own authority, in that it can spread at will throughout the human body. However the authority found in Christ’s dunamis power has an authority far above in rank and power over that of cancer. By our words, as they are tempered or alloyed 50/50 with faith, the kingly sway, the power of choice, or the liberty of action to command the cancer where we please, is available to us.

Dunamis power. The inherent power in every created thing that defines it and gives to it its life.

As we spoke earlier on, dunamis power is the inherent power exclusive, to every created thing.  Water, has an inherent power of its own, which gives to it its life, and defines it as water exclusive of any another object.  Cancer has another type of dunamis power.  God has His own dunamis power.  The dunamis or inherent power of Christ resident in us is far in rank and power above the inherent power of any other created object.  Hallelujah!  When we minister, we know that Christ’s inherent power will subordinate, subjugate and destroy the inherent power sustaining the evil that we are ministering against.

The inherent or dunamis power of something gives to it life, glory, and honor.  Cancer, though evil in nature, has its own evil glory and honor.  The word, “to rebuke” is defined as “UPON THE HONOR.”  When we rebuke cancer in JESUS NAME, we are heaping Christ’s power to bear upon the honor of the root source of the cancer, the liberty that it exercises and the very inherent power that makes it up and gives to its life.

Lordship- Someone or something which can bring into bondage.

And every name that identifies something for what it is exclusive of anything else.

22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

All these Christ subordinated and subjected under His feet.  When God gave Christ to be to be head over all of these things to the church; this same power is now available to us.

This is the power that you have permanently stored or charged in you.

It’s released without end or depletion as we obey the voice of the Spirit.

On The Mountain, God Speaks

Why is it so important to live by the voice of the Holy Spirit?

I remember a specific incident when we lived in New Mexico.

God had called us by faith to leave Miami, Florida, and move there.

We were almost penniless and I did not have a job.

My family lived in a tiny duplex between two Native American Nations, the Santo Domingo Pueblo Indians and the Cochiti Pueblo Indians.

We did not have a washing machine and would take our clothes to the laundry mat at Cochiti Pueblo.

Having no money we had accumulated nineteen loads of laundry.

We affectionately called the huge mountain of laundry in the middle of the bedroom, where we repeatedly wore dirty clothes from, “Mount Mary,” after my wife.

From babysitting one day, my wife suddenly got $20.00.

Hurriedly we went to do our laundry in Santa Fe.

That Sunday morning, we packed up our car with nineteen garbage bags of clothes and first went to our church service with plans to do laundry once it finished.

However, in the middle of the preacher’s sermon I heard the indisputable voice of the Holy Spirit say, “Leave!”

My family was sitting close to the preacher, about two rows from the front.

I was shocked that God would tell us to leave.

I immediately objected to Him, that to have six people walk out from the preacher’s sermon would be extremely embarrassing and rude.

“Lord”, I protested, “this is the most offensive thing ever!”

The voice of God came loud again; “Leave!”

I was ticked off at God.

Thoroughly humiliated, my family got up and left to the lobby, heads bowed, looking down at the floor. I felt like a dog with its tail between its legs.

Once in the foyer we were met by a forty year old man who pointed to my eight year old daughter saying “Come here little girl.”

You can imagine my fatherly reaction to have a grown man, asking my little girl to come to him.

I nodded to my daughter under my watchful eye.

As she walked towards him, he pulled out a $20.00 bill and gave it to her.

We were to find out that the nineteen loads of laundry and soap cost us 39.75!

Obedience to the Lord is far more important than all religious sacrifices, or prophecies.

Viva Mount Mary!
