The Minimum Viable Product

I’ve struggled for years to write a book.

Now, the time has come, for God is speaking.

Entrepreneurs encourage when launching a new venture, to create the “Minimum Viable Product” (MVP).

Instead of committing years to a product which may fail, they encourage the dedication of a few months to create a MVP, put out limited copies on E Bay, for example, and modifying it according to customer feedback.

I will have this MVP done in two months, God willing!

An Eternal Loss

Our church model of  passivity and complacency creates Christians who never press in to discover and mature in their spiritual gifts. Our churches are full of people who are not contributing their part of bringing in the fullness of God.  Because the church is one body made of up of many members, complacent people rob others  of  the benefit of the fullness of God that should had been manifested through them. It is an eternal loss for God, His church and the world.

Let’s Eat The Apple Pie During Church

Our school teachers used the illustration of an apple pie cut into eight pieces.

This would assist us in comprehending fractions.

Every piece of the sliced pie would become 1/8 of the pie.

Four pieces would be equal ½; seven pieces would be 7/8; and the eight pieces together would make the whole of the pie.

The fullness of the Lord in the Christian which results in His manifested glory is very similar.

The church is the apple pie.

If one member in a local congregation demonstrates the fullness of the Lord, the assembly will manifest 1/8 of his glory.

I know that it is an unsophisticated example, but it holds true.

If half of church’s members hold to their duty to be filled and minister the Spirit of God by their spiritual gifts, that local church will manifest 1/2 of God’s glory.

Displaying the fullness of the Lord takes the active participation of every member in a local church employing his or her spiritual gifts

Many of our church approaches are erroneous in that they encourage many to remain the passive onlooker, and few to contribute to the Holy Spirit’s ministry.

Tragically, only a small fraction of the Lord’s glory is displayed in our churches and in the world.

The church should function as a human body, since it is the body of Christ.

Our body is made-up of two hundred bones attached by tissues and ligaments.   The circulatory system makes use of the blood as it is drawn through the heart’s right chamber making its way through the lungs.

The lungs supply the blood with much needed oxygen, send it back to the heart via its left chamber, and drive into the main artery or aorta.

The aorta’s blood branches out into smaller and smaller places.

The first are arteries, designated as arterioles, which ebb into the furthest recesses of our bodies through minute capillaries.

Our immune system fends off unfriendly proteins, and infectious microorganisms, with the one two punch of antibodies. A left uppercut by the immune system makes holes in the foreign cells, and a swinging right hook swallows and digests foreign matter.

Our digestive system begins in the mouths. The food is broken into fragments by chewing and is mixed with saliva. It then goes down through the esophagus and into the stomach. The digestive process is intensified by the aggressive activity of gastric and intestinal juices. The digested nutrients are sucked into the small intestine. The remains of unassimilated foods, and waste substances from the liver, are passed into the large intestine and magnificently expelled from our bodies.

Our skin is a big living organ. It protects us from drying up, controls the loss of fluids, and shields us from harmful substances. Its sweat glands are our body’s air conditioning, the skin receptors distinguishing the levels of body temperature and pain, and finally our fat cells insulate us. (Excerpts are taken from Microsoft’s 1999 edition of the Encarta Encyclopedia.)

In our body, every member knows with accuracy what its function is, and holds itself accountable to accomplish them.

Our bodily members do it with great effectiveness. They do not take glory or attention upon themselves, and work at peak performance.

Every member of our body is active, and it is correspondingly offensive as it is defensive in its roles.

The church as Christ’s body  should operate along these same lines but does it?

The great responsibility of church leaders is not to run a one man show but to facilitate and mediate these great processes, under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit.

How Should the 2015 Christian Look Like?

Romans 15:19  Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached( I have filled up the gospel) the gospel of Christ.

If we are to do our part in filling up the gospel of Christ it will never be accomplished through our mere preaching of God’s word.

The gospel must be proclaimed in the power of signs and wonders that go with our spiritual gifts.

Sign: The manifestation of a spiritual gift as it is focused upon the minister to prove his or her authority as one sent by God.

Wonder: The manifestation of the same spiritual gift, as it is focuses upon the ones who look at the minister, to stimulate them and amazement and the giving of glory to God.

2 Tim 1: 3 I thank God, whom I serve (our religious service to the Lord) from my forefathers with pure (free from evil, and innocent because it is free from evil, and resulting in nothing that the devil or man can point an accusatory finger at) conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

The conscience is a barometer of what dwells in our lives.  A pure conscience reflects a life that has nothing for the devil to grasp and keep us in bondage, or for others to lawfully charge us with wrongdoing.

God’s anointing can only flow where there is a conscience which is free from guilt. For me, if I’ve done something wrong, and try to minister, the anointing is hindered.

If I justify what I’ve done wrong and proceed, a hard heart is created. Because God dwells in our hearts, a heart which is calloused becomes progressively unable to sense the still small voice of God. A calloused part of our body does not feel pain. A calloused heart cannot discern the movements of God. This is the beginning of deception, and its darn scary. This is how false teachers come about.

Nu 12:3  (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Ps 22:26  The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Ps 37:11  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

If we are a servant of God; our only right is the right to obey Him.

Holding on to our rights, will produce anger.  Angry people are people who are not willing to let go of things, or rights.

The opposite of anger is meekness. The meek person is one who has yielded his rights.

2 Tim 1: 4 Greatly desiring(pursuing with love) to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

The defining principle of mentors is the formation of spiritual fathers and mothers.

Greek: Paul had an unceasing remembrance of Timothy; as he daily and nightly longed for him.  Paul was reminded of this as he counted his own tears, knowing that only in seeing Timothy would he be filled with joy.

What one of the great vacuums is the absence of fathers and mothers?

Almost everybody suffers from an orphan spirit.

As a Christian  allow God to mold you into a father or mother.

2 Tim 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift (charismatic or spiritual gift) of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Stir up Greek: to bring back to life the dying embers on a grill.  When the fire on a charcoal grill is in danger of going out, we must stir up the breaking pieces of coal and fan them back into the reddish glow of heat.

This is what must be done with our spiritual gifts.

First, we must discover what they are. Do you know what they are?  Look at Philemon 6.

2 Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The spirit of fear- The spirit of cowardice.

I used to be a coward, but God has changed me.

The spirit of fear is just that, a spirit. The work of demons is to paralyze us with fear and make us into passive and ineffectual Christians. Find out what is really coming from within you and what is an attack from the outside. The devil’s ploy is to try to make you own things which are not yours but he is throwing them from the outside and wanting you to take them.

Sound mind – Greek: making wise or understanding.

A mind which operates in wisdom is one which understands the will of God and walks in His ways.  This type of thinking matures the believer in spiritual discernment, which allows the Christian to refrain from what, is evil, resulting in self-control.

We live in times where people do not like to read. Only the washing of water by the Word of God can create soundness of mind.  I was in pornography for many years before becoming a Christian. Pornography makes huge inroads into our thought processes and robs of soundness of mind. It was God’s word which set me free and produces soundness of mind.

 2Tim 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony (martyrdom) of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Testimony is an interesting word. It comes from the word that means martyr or martyrdom.

The only way that we can give adequate evidence of the invisible Lord is through our dying on the cross, so that the Christ within us can then be revealed as a testimony to a lost and dying world.

Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness ( martyr or martyrdom) unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Are we doing our part to present the gospel with accurate and undeniable evidence (as spiritual martyrs of the Lord) which will allow for the jury of the world to either accept or reject it contingent upon our testimony of it?

Colossians 1:24  Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up (supplement) that which is behind( deficient)  of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:

Paul saw Christ’s sufferings in the believer (not those brought forth by sin or maliciously by Satan) as the source of what supplements what is deficient in the church.

Any man or woman of God desirous to be used in supplementing and meeting the deficiencies of the church will do so through the avenue of suffering and sacrifice.

2Tim 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony(martyrdom) of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

According to the power of God. There is nothing worse than to see a believer ministering according to his own power, programs, or psychologically driven agendas.

Ephesians 3:7  Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. (the energy of His dunamis power)

Paul was made a minister in relationship to the grace of God, which is the labor of Christ within him. Grace is the superhuman labor of God.  As we die to our own labors by embracing the cross, the superhuman labor of God kicks in or is displayed within us. This has nothing to with the message, that because we are under grace we can do whatever we want to. This borders on blasphemy.

Once again the revelation of God’s superhuman power is proportional to our own weakness as our natural life is taken to the cross. This is why the preaching of the cross is so essential. When the cross is no longer preached we know that the devil has gotten into the church.

God is looking for a generation of Christians who will love and preach the cross.

Ezekiel 44:23  And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

This calling must lead us into our spiritual vocation, which is holy, cut or separated from the world, and highly specialized in a military fashion of sorts.

If as believers we are simply content to become born again, but do not allow the Lord to separate us enough from the profane, we will not enter into the fullness of our spiritual vocation and miss out on our calling.

The world will see in us something which is no different to what they have and will not be attracted to Christ.

2 Tim 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began

Not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace.

With every God given vocation, the Lord Jesus will also equip us spiritually and materially so that we can execute this calling successfully.

The grace or labor of Christ’s endows us with all that is necessary.  If we are not operating within our calling, the grace of Christ will not be fully present and neither will be His endowments.

As I teach everywhere, we must realize the difference between being religiously busy, versus walking in our calling.  We must be used in our correct ministry.

.2 Tim 1: 10  But is now made manifest by the appearing ( epiphany) of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

(Greek:  Appearing: “epiphany”).

In Christ’s appearing or manifesting resides His superhuman labor or grace, which is proportional to how much He is manifested.  His labor always brings forth the incorruptness of eternal life, which we are commanded to take a hold of and make our own.

12 or the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

The sufferings of Christ come to us in proportion to our spiritual vocations.  The greater the calling, the more extensive will be our period of training.

God’s mode of guarding is to lead, labor, and supply continuously to Paul so that the apostle might be faithful to execute his ministerial responsibilities till the consummation of his earthly life.

1 Tim 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Greek: Hold fast the outline or pattern of healthy words in a world that belongs to faith and love.

Today, many suffer from sickness of body and mind. The pattern of healthy words brought to us by the Bible is not theirs, since many do not like to read. This is a very serious problem, a tragic phenomenon of this decade. By all means become a reader. Don’t allow the devil to deceive and rob you from the love of reading.

Neither is the sacrificing the pattern of healthy words of the Bible to accommodate current cultural views correct.

We must love people, but never scarifies the scriptures to do so.

You need to be Pickled! What is Biblical Baptism?

In the days of Christ there was a recipe to create a “pickled” vegetable.  It was said that a vegetable was BAPTISED into THE LOCATION or SPHERE of a vinegar solution.  After a while, the vinegar WORKED INSTRUMENTALLY BACK through the vegetable and “pickled” it. Tofu, likewise, acquires the taste and texture of any food that it is baptized into.  We can say that with whatever food the tofu is BAPTISED INTO, it is INSTRUMENTALLY influenced back by that food to make the tofu like it.

John 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, (Jesus lives continually in the domain of the Father’s world  and ye in me( We must be therefore located in the domain of Christ’s world), and I in you.(So that Christ can instrumentality work back through us, by pervading, influencing, and affecting.)

The Key To Miracles: Understanding the “energemas” of God.

1Co 12:6 and there are apportionments of operations “energema”, yet the same God Who is operating all in all.”

1Co 12:10  To another the working  “energema” of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

An energema is the result, the outcome, or product, of something which has been energized. It is what is tangible and clear to the human senses because it has been completed and manifested. It makes sense then, that we find energema when we discuss the miracles of God. A miracle is the result, the outcome, the tangible and visible product of an invisible model or archetype which God has in the heavenlies.

Tapping into God’s Energy By Your Spiritual Gifts

Your responsibility to find out and function in every gift, ministry, and calling within you, is the key to God’s energy in you.

Philemon 6  that the sharing of your faith may become effective (energized) in full knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.

Learning to hear God’s Voice

Derek Prince compared our knowing the Lord’s will to the lining up of three buoys in a rocky channel of water .

Buoy # 1 is the written or logos Word of God.  If what you and I want is not in the written Word of God, we might as well not even entertain the thought of it.

Buoy # 2 is a specific rhema word, or the voice of the Spirit concerning what we ask.

Buoy # 3 : This is always the last buoy to line up and is the one that most of the times causes us the most difficulty.  This third buoy represents the timing of God rhema word.  It can also be called, “obtaining the right circumstances.”

God’s Power

Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power (dunamis power) to us-ward who believe, according to the working (energy; energia) of his mighty (outward dominion; kratos) power (inner strength; ischus)

What is the overcasting and transcending ability ( dunamis) of the same funneled into us who continually believe according to the energy put out as external dominion power (kratos) from his internal resident strength, ( ischus).

  • In the cartoons of Popeye the Sailor Man, Popeye ate a can of spinach, which gave to him inner, inherent or resident strength. The spinach is the revelation of the Son of God in us.
  • The inner inherent strength that the spinach gave to Popeye is called ischus.
  • This strength was manifested as bulging muscles exercised in outward dominion, or domination, which would wipe out Pluto, his archenemy.
  • This strength was manifested as bulging muscles exercised in outward dominion, or domination. This is called kratos,

 Holy Spirit Confidence

CONFIDENCE in the voice of God is the great catalyst of energy that releases the gifts and the power of God.

Eph 3:12 In whom we have boldness and ACCESS with confidence by the faith of him.

Confidence by faith gives us boldness with God and most important of all, ACCESS to the things of the kingdom of God. Any incremental increase in our confidence will exponentially increase ACCESS to the things of the kingdom.

 Ministry by Faith

2 Cor 4:18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We contemplate and put our attention from moment to moment on what we cannot see with the physical eyes. For what is seen with our physical eyes have a short-lived and seasonal effect.  What is seen in the Spirit however has an impact that lasts forever.

Romans 4:17  (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead (corpses), and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

This tells us that the nature of our God is to call forth the things, which are still not physically in existence as having the same reality and essence of things, which are in existence.  This is one of the facets of faith! Abraham’s faith in God was so great, that out of corpse like circumstances, and out of things, which in reality do not exist, God made Abraham into a father of many nations and millions of people. This is called the faith of Abraham.

Hebrews 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

“The things yet not seen” was what was well known to Noah, or what had a three dimensional substance to him.  The physical world acquired no reality or became simply two-dimensional.

8  By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

He was called was in the NOW tense.

He obeyed-  A military submission to hearing”

“ He went out no knowing” Having nothing in the physical realm which was set and standing before him so that he could grasp and follow.  He had no acquaintance with what God had called him to do.

27  By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Moses dominated and endured by seeing with discernment in the Spirit what was invisible or void of discernment in the natural or to the human eye. His substance was the voice of the Holy Spirit.  The natural world was not a reality to him.

How the Power of God Flows Through You?

Luke 5:17  And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to (INTO) heal them.

Luke 6:19  And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

Ministry In the Darkness of Faith

2 Corinthians 4:6  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

God speaks out of from a source that is rooted in the darkness of our spirits.

1 Cor 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

For we spiritually see or glance through a mirror in enigmas.

Psalms 78:2  I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

I will speak to you as a prophet in enigmas.

Gods Anointing Flows In Proportion to His Will

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

All things energizing according to the counsel of His will

1 Cor 12:11  But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

All things energizing according to the counsel of His will

 Ministry in the Holy Spirit

Eph 3:7  Whereof I was made a minister (DIAKONOS), according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

The minister of God as a diakonos is the believer in his or her service to God in accordance to their spiritual gifting’s, ministries and callings.

Col 1:29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working (ENERGY), which worketh (IS ENERGIZED) in me mightily( IN DUNAMIS POWER) .

Galatians 2:8  (For he that wrought effectually(THAT ENERGIZED) in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty(ENERGIZED)  in me toward( AS I FUNNELED (His ministry) INTO) the Gentiles:)

John 7:38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Greek- Potamos- A river, flood or torrent. A flood can sweep down torrentially and even carry houses away. How can we stop the gushing of springs or the flow of a river?

John 5:17  But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto ( My Father never ceases working in the Spirit) and I work.(and I work externally, using exactly the same procedures and in exactly the same manner in which I see instinctively the Father working within me.)Worketh   is defined in exactly the same way that a company strives to be successful in producing the services for which it is in business for.

Hitherto: Until now. My Father has been continually at work, producing the services that pertain to the business of the kingdom of God in an unbroken flow, right through all of your Sabbaths; and even now as we speak, He works.

And I work:  I, in like manner.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth (To habitually glance at what the Father does in the Spirit.  This is not discernment with understanding) the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. ( Greek word “homos” )

Glancing in the Spirit to what the Father does, gives us that momentary intuitive knowledge, which on many occasions, is enough for us to step out in faith and do with identicalness what we have acquired instinctively in our spirits.

John 5:20  For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

For the Father is fond of the Son and shows Him all things that He does in a way that can be proven and for proof, and greater than these works will he show you with the goal in His mind that you may wonder.

Romans 12:6  Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7   Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Greek: Ministry in the sphere of (our) ministry (Ministry must be executed in the realm of the ministry to which we have been called to; no more and no less.  This is what Paul means by Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering.  In other words let us minister only in the ministries that God has called us to.  “The above scriptures show us the importance of knowing our ministries and being devoted to them.

Romans 12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth,(imparting)  let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth,( they that are placed at the front) with diligence(with earnestness and godly haste to rule); he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness (a hilarious attitude)

He or she that is exhorting in the sphere of exhortation (He or she that are called to exhort, let them exhort with the type of exhortation that the Lord has called us to specifically perform.)

I Cor 14:3  But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification(the building up of the body of Christ), and exhortation,(encouragement , admonition, and warning) and comfort.( to persuade, arouse and stimulate into Christian action)

1 Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

Greek: What is it brethren?  Whenever the time may be that you assemble yourselves, each of you a psalm (hymns; a means of putting OT psalms to music) has, a teaching has, a tongue has, a revelation has, an interpretation has.  All things for building up let it be done.

Prophets

Numbers 3:16  And Moses numbered them according (at) to the word (Heb: mouth)  of the LORD, as he was commanded.

Numbers 3:39  All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment (Heb: mouth)  of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.

If we carefully observe the two scriptures above we see Moses and Aaron executing God’s commandments in accordance to the “mouth of the Lord.”

The greatness of the prophet is his or her limitation to live by the voice of the Spirit.

Deuteronomy 4:2  Ye shall not add ( you shall not cause an addition or an exaggeration  to what the Lord has spoken) unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish( subtract, withdraw, or to hold back)  ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Num 22:18  And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond ( pass over or cross over to the other side of; like crossing over a river ) the word ( Hebrew: the mouth) of the LORD my God, to do less or more.(to do the insignificant or what is great.)

19   And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.

The prophet must speak forth in the accuracy of, the intent of God’s heart, and with the same degree of intensity of what the Lord Himself speaks.

38   And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power(dunamis) at all(dunamis) to say (intensive) any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak ( intensive verb).

Jer 23:28  The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell (recount, rehearse and declare the dream with the accuracy, the intention of God’s heart, as well same emphasis that God had in His telling of it.  Hebrew emphatic verb)) a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak (As accurately and thoroughly as God gave it to him or her; emphatic verb) my word faithfully(reliably and with certainty).

Spiritual Laws

1 Thessalonians 5:19  Quench not the Spirit.

Do not extinguish the Spirit.

Acts 18:25  This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

Fervent: To boil with heat, be hot `and it is used with the boiling of water.  Boiling when it comes to liquids or glowing when it comes to solids.

Romans 12:11  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Not irksome in what has to be dispatched for the Lord’s but fervent in Spirit. Bond slavery and service to the Lord must be in the glowing and boiling of the Spirit.
