Let Revival Begin!

Dear Friends:

God has called us back to New York, specifically to the city of Nyack in Rockland County.

This is our sixth trip to Nyack from Miami.

The dates are September 15 – November 14th.

Our journeys began four years ago during visits to our daughter who was attending college in New York City.

I thought I would never have a desire to minister in big cities, but God not only gave us a love for New York, but revealed that He is doing a great work in the northeast.

Through a mutual friend we got connected with David Kim, pastor of Silver Springs Vineyard Church of Nyack.

Nyack is 50 minutes north of Manhattan on the Hudson River.

Through Pastor David we have met wonderful people in Rockland County.

With each trip God has increased the work which He is dynamically accomplishing with those inside and outside the churches of Rockland County.

New York City and Nyack both share in a rich revival history.

In 1857, God called Jeremiah Lamphere to initiate one of America’s Great Awakenings in Southern Manhattan near Wall Street.

In 1882, one of the foremost figure in the American missionary movement, AB Simpson, founded Nyack College as a training school for missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission of world evangelization.

Nyack College was the first Bible College in the USA.

The wells of revival dug by these great works have created an open heaven in this part of the country conducive to yet another revival which will impact the nation and the world.

In one of our trips we met Pastor Greg Manalli, of Fellowship of Life Church, in Cheshire, Connecticut.

He has prayed for revival in the northeast for more than thirty years.

Pastor Greg showed us three paintings of a vision which he received in 1980’s,

In them, the bellows of God blew revival winds into the New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts area with a great resultant harvest of souls.

The northeast is uniquely situated for a move of God which can touch millions at one time. There is no other region like it.

Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington DC, are all along the 1 -95 corridor and just hours from each other. Breaking revival in one area will quickly spread through this corridor.

With the social media phenomena the effects of a northeast revival will be explosive.

It is to this area that God continues to send Mary and me back, again and again.

The trips are expensive because we deal with two set of bills, one for New York and another for Miami.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us financially in bringing revival to our great nation?

Missionaries and missionary students from all over the world would from NYC, take boats to Nyack. From the Hudson River, with luggage and all, they would climb the hundreds of steps leading to the college.

THE ANATOMY OF THE CHURCH PRIOR TO REVIVAL

Written by Pastor Greg  Manalli

The anatomy of the church in light of the coming revival looks at the stages Christians go through on the way to maturity in Christ and the places of testing and trials that lead some to become discouraged, or worse, fall back into old ways or merely go through the motions of their faith. Since our Father is in the testings, then all these things will work for our good if we love God and are called according to His purposes; namely that we should be conformed to Christ.

Briefly we move through the initial stage of hearing the gospel, becoming convicted, repenting and being converted by re-birth as we learn of Jesus’ great gift of salvation. This is followed by seasons of learning the truths and ways of Christian faith, finding our gifts and expressing them, advancing the Kingdom by our witness and reaching the lost.

Also during these early times in the Lord, we come to enjoy the fellowship of the saints. We work together to accomplish different goals and rejoice together when they are achieved.

Then, a more advanced or serious period enters our lives. Being like Christ is becoming a vision that once was merely a statement in scripture. In pursuit of this vision, we encounter trials showing our real condition. We also have failures of unanswered prayers. There are purposes beyond our immediate understanding. In addition, we experience disappointments in relationships. New temptations to old sins arise, giving life to what we thought we had overcome.

Discouragement seizes this opportune time. Disillusionment with the “whole thing” grows stronger. We see our brothers and sisters going through similar things. We enter into formality in worship; our attendance and giving is low. Religion has taken over and the relationship with our Lord, while still there, isn’t as passionate as it once was. Some of us leave the church. This is a spiritual “Death Valley”.

Simultaneously, leaders realize their ministries and churches are not what they once were. Enormous efforts at organizing and planning commence, all with the goal of restoring the church to her previous state and to bring in a harvest of lost. The ratio of efforts to results would make a Wall Street banker jump off a building. At this time leaders expend more energy and resources for minimal returns. This is quite the opposite of how God’s works! And perhaps leaders must go through this for them also to repent.

This critical stage is the setting for revival. Revival is birthed in us by God. He instills in some a longing to pray and ask for our Lord to send Holy Spirit to us. We need Him so. Currents of life begin to serge into our souls. We return slowly to our first love, to repentance of our now recognized sins and a re-commitment to Jesus. It is like being born again, yet again.

Before the great outpouring that will come, there is this new season of travail and a cry to God our Father to first of all change us and prepare our hearts for the Lord to come again in the power and holiness of the Spirit. This does not happen overnight, but when the Lord does pour out His Spirit, it will be sudden, spontaneous, supernatural and sovereign. No man will take credit, no ministries can claim it, and no efforts on our part will achieve it.

This is what He requires of us before He comes. First, we must prepare our hearts as holy highways for Him, Isa. 40:3 and 35:8, Psa. 84:5. This is done in the desert of our souls. When we are in a dry and unfruitful place we best recognize our need. As some have said, this holy highway is paved with stones of repentance and tears that make fresh springs in the desert.

Second, a spirit of prayer and intercession comes upon us. This, too, is from the Lord. We take up the burden of the Lord for a renewed people of God walking in holiness and giving glory to Him. Our intercession reaches the throne of grace on behalf of the lost and those who sit in darkness. Deep cries for the prodigals stretch heavenward. The burden for them to be restored is relentless. Our overwhelming motive….glory to our Lord. For of Him and through Him are all things, and to Him be the glory forever, Rom. 11:36.

If you want to know if you are in the present will of the Lord, find out what God is doing today and give yourself to it.

Pastor Manalli has a tireless vision to see revival come to America.

Revival! Northeast!

John 9:4b “Night is coming, when no one can work”

For America, revival is no longer the option; it’s the requirement, and her only hope. America has entered a night without a moral compass. The compass was lost, when she stopped valuing God. Now, no one can work to bring America out of the night, except God. The key is revival, where God sovereignly works.

In 2007, Mary and I had a prospering ministry In East Africa, named Safari through the Word.

We lived in Kenya and ministered throughout the nation hosting Bible conferences.

We visited Uganda and Tanzania, and were courting invitations to minister in other countries.

In the midst of this God spoke to us; “I need you more in America than in Africa.”

At the end of 2007 we relocated to Miami, Florida.

Since then, we have been assistant pastors at Doral Vineyard.

The religious decline of America commenced in the 60’s when prayer and the Bible were removed from public schools.

Directly proportional to America’s rejection of God has been the loss of its moral compass.  Today, the USA is a ship agonizing on the waves of uncertainty, tossed to and fro by the whims of amorality and secularism.

The church has longed for revival for many years.

Today revival is no longer the option, it is the requirement, and America is ripe for it.

If the USA does not experience a spiritual awakening, I cannot imagine what she will become.

During trips to New York City to visit our daughter Lexy, God spoke about a coming revival to the Northeast.

We got connected with Pastors David and Sue Kim of Silver Springs Vineyard Church of Nyack, New York, forty-five minutes from Manhattan.

David and Sue have the same passion for revival in the northeast.

In March of this year we did four weeks of revival meetings at Silver Springs. Without advertisement except Face Book and word of mouth, they were filling up with folks not just from Nyack, but the Bronx, Brooklyn and New Jersey.

We saw a sovereign move of God.

During that trip we met with Pastor Greg Manalli, of Fellowship of Life Church, in Cheshire, Connecticut.

He has prayed for revival in the northeast for more than thirty years.

Pastor Greg showed us three paintings of a vision which he got in 1980’s,

In it the bellows of God blew revival winds into the New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts area with a great resultant harvest of souls.

Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington DC, are all along the 1 -95 corridor and just hours from each other. Breaking revival in one area will quickly spread through this corridor.

Next year in March, we will move to Nyack from Miami to continue with this work of revival, as God shifts things into high gear.

Humpty Dumpty Fell Off The Technology Pole

From a vision in 2011

We’ve heard the story of Humpty Dumpty’s great fall.

I want to tell you a story of what happened to Humpty when he text messaged on his phone. God gave me this brief vision days back.

Humpty was sitting on a pole. He was busily looking down, preoccupied as he texted. The more he texted, the more he slid down. He kept on texting and sliding, texting and sliding. Humpty was so darned distracted that he kept on sliding down. The pole was pretty high. When Humpty fell, he broke into hundreds of little pieces.  So unrecognizable was Humpty; I did not know how to put him back together again.

Or as the rhyme says.

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

The vision ended with Jesus Christ standing over the pieces that were once Humpty Dumpty.

In the vision, Humpty Dumpty is America.

Prophecy can be conditional based on how a person responds. Many a time it is a stark warning from God.  In my opinion if the church brings revival and reformation this prophecy does not have to become reality. God is a God of mercy who does not wish a Humpty Dumpty to occur.

America is on a course with crisis. It seems as if our political and judicial systems are near broken beyond repair. God will never, I say, never bless corruption and dishonesty. Sooner or later God catches up to this kind of system.

Our finances are beyond saving, the economy is being artificially propped up.

Much of the church is not awake and vigilant. The keys to America’s wellbeing are in her hands.

A drowning man can only be saved once he goes unconscious.  Otherwise, he will pull the rescuer down with him.  Will America be rendered unconscious by her own doings?

I guess that I will continue to pray, preach, bring revival and wait.
