Seven Rules For Healthy Christian Living

Heb 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

RULE # 1: God has spoken to us by ONE THING.

RULE # 2: He has given us ONE THING!

That one thing is His Son, Jesus Christ.

Col 2:2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being joined together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to a full knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Eph 3:8 To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

RULE # 3: All that God is, has, and wants to do, lives IN or INSIDE His Son.

RULE # 4: All blessing, riches, and treasures which belong to God live inside of His Son.

The church is enticed to ask God for a variety of blessings, when it should be asking God for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Revelation means to uncover!

This is so that Christ, the one thing, who is the container of all of God’s treasures and riches, can be uncovered in you.

RULE # 5: As Jesus is uncovered, God’s treasures, and riches are automatically uncovered along with Him.

RULE # 6: The more that He is uncovered, the more that the treasures and riches are automatically too.

Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

God will not compromise. God will not negotiate. Everything is inside His Son.

RULE # 7: So quit looking for blessings all around and focus on uncovering Jesus inside of you where all blessings live.

Who Is In Me?

Who is in me?

 Rev 1:12  And turning to see the voice which said these words to me, I saw seven gold vessels with lights burning in them;

13  And in the middle of them one like a son of man, clothed with a robe down to his feet, and with a band of gold round his breasts.

14  And his head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15  And his feet like polished brass, as if it had been burned in a fire; and his voice was as the sound of great waters.

16  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining in its strength.

17  And when I saw him, I went down on my face at his feet as one dead. And he put his right hand on me, saying, Have no fear; I am the first and the last and the Living one;

How do I reveal This One in me?

Is this The One in you?

How do you reveal This One?

Phillip 3: 8  Yes truly, and I am ready to give up all things for the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, which is more than all: for whom I have undergone the loss of all things, and to me they are less than nothing, so that I may have Christ as my reward,

How much are you and I willing to give up to reveal This One to ourselves and then to the world?

Heavens and earth created (Gen_1:1)

New heavens and earth (Rev_21:1)

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Rev 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And the sea no longer is.

Sun created (Gen_1:16)

No need of the sun (Rev_21:23)

Gen 1:16  And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night, and the stars also.

Rev 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

The night established (Gen_1:5)

No night there (Rev_21:25; Rev_22:5)

Gen 1:5  And God called the light, Day. And He called the darkness, Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Rev 21:25  And its gates may not be shut at all by day, for there shall be no night there.

Rev 22:5  And there will be no night there. And they need no lamp, or light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light. And they will reign forever and ever.

The seas created (Gen_1:10)

No more seas (Rev_21:1)

Gen 1:10  And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the gathering together of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Rev 21:1   And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The curse announced (Gen_3:14-17)

No more curse (Rev_22:3)

Gen 3:14  And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every animal of the field. You shall go upon your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.

Gen 3:15  And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

Gen 3:16  To the woman He said, I will greatly increase your sorrow and your conception. In pain you shall bear sons, and your desire shall be toward your husband, and he shall rule over you.

Gen 3:17  And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life.

Rev 22:3  And every curse will no longer be; but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him.

Death enters history (Gen_3:19)

No more death (Rev_21:4)

Gen 3:19  In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

Rev 21:4  And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying out, nor will there be any more pain; for the first things passed away.

Man driven from the tree (Gen_3:24)

Man restored to paradise (Rev_22:14)

Gen 3:24  And He drove out the man. And He placed cherubs at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Rev 22:14  Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city.

Sorrow and pain begin (Gen_3:17)

No more mourning, crying or pain (Rev_21:4)

Gen 3:17  And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life.

Rev 21:4  And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying out, nor will there be any more pain; for the first things passed away.

The Face of Christ

Rev 1:16  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining in its strength.

Our faces are mirrors of our souls.

Many of our faces exhibit pain, rejection, and insecurity.

But look at the face of the resurrected Christ in the above verse.

It’s the face of the unclouded sun, shining in all of its strength.

Can you look at the sun and not go blind?

Have we being co raised with Christ?

It’s reasonable then that our face should reflect an unclouded soul brightly discharging the glory of Christ.

Alas, how desperately we need our minds renewed by the Word of God.

One bad thing that the social media has created, is make us into entertainment hogs who laugh at dumb You Tube videos behind this face of pain and sickness.

If wed watch less and study God’s Word more, we could manifest a face like the sun shining in all of its strength. It’s called the face of Christ.

The Tale of the Caribbean Island

I Cor 1:23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

I Cor 2:2  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

In both instances above, Christ crucified is in the Greek perfect tense.

The Greek perfect tense is defined, as a once and for all accomplished event with an eternal impact. Though Christ was crucified 2000 years ago, the effect of His crucifixion is as powerful for us today, as it was 20 centuries ago.

Because Christ is God’s treasure chest, the effects of His crucifixion dwell permanently inside Him.

This very Christ, still crucified today, has been given to us as another of the treasures that lives within Him.

Why does God give to us “the treasure of Christ as permanently crucified”?

This is what I term as the “law of crucifixion” or “the law of the cross”.  A law tells us that under a specific set of circumstances, specific results will always occur.

With our every individual act of obedience towards God, “the law of crucifixion” (which is the permanently crucified Christ) kicks in, resulting into what is described in the next two verses out of 2 Corinthians chapter four.

Suppose that you and your family go on vacation to a beautiful secluded island. One morning, meandering through the ivory  sands, a rusty corner of barely protruding object grabs you attention.  You uncover a tarnished treasure chest hidden by English pirates.

When you break open the chest you find it loaded and overflowing with pounds of gold and silver bars, precious gems, brilliant stones, huge diamonds, superb rubies, exquisite rings, brooches, and more.

Is it more logical to have you and your sons close and secure the chest, grab it by the handles and wheel it so that you can forever enjoy  and use it.

That is one alternative!

However, you chose to sit for hours under the scorching sun of the Caribbean skies, and laboriously search through the chest for items of jewelry that your family needs.

You dig and pull out jewelry, breaking your nails and cutting your hands.

Finally you quit the process totally exhausted.  In a deep frustration your family finds the fifteen or twenty pieces that they need.  You leave the treasure chest in the sand, nearly full with hundreds pieces of jewelry now discarded around it, and go home.

Would you agree that this family acted it stupidity?

Yet this is a perfect description of the church, and its relationship to its understanding of the Lord Jesus.

Inside the Person of Christ dwells or is hidden all of who God is, all of what God wants, and wants to give to the church, and all that God possesses for this world and for the next.

Here is the secret.

When Christ is revealed or manifested in us, all the treasures within or inside of Him will be manifested along with Him.

The more revelation of the Son of God in you, the more will be the revelation of all that dwells IN HIM.  It is an automatic reality.

The secret to the manifestation or revelation of the Son of God in us has to do with our continuous obedience to Him.

The more that we obey God’s voice by His Holy Spirit, the more that Jesus Christ who dwells in our spirits will become revealed or manifested

The less that we obey God; the less will be the manifestation of the Son of God in our lives.  It is that simple!  It’s all proportional.

The revelation of Christ, and the treasures within Him, becomes a progressive reality inside of us by obedience to God.  Every act of obedience towards God activates the law of the cross that reveals the treasure of “Christ crucified”, which destroys our self-life and manifests Christ and His treasures.

How do we become free?

Satan has successfully deceived the church, to divert it from understanding and valuing the supreme importance of the revelation of the Son of God in its midst.  Our obedience to God is shallow, compromised, and limited; our knowledge of the Word of God is very poor at best.

Secondly, we have been deceived to allow the second most important truth in Christianity to slip right through our hands!

Christ has made you complete! But it’s experienced in proportion to how welcomed God is to take residence in you. Is He guest or family?

How Do I Get The Whole Package Deal?

Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

Eph 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Eph 1:19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength

Eph 1:20 which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

Notice how Paul begins in verse 17!

He asks the Father to give him a spirit of revelation in the knowledge of His Son.

What is the result of this spirit of revelation?

That the eyes of my understanding being enlightened I will see what God has placed INSIDE OF Christ.

So what does Jesus have inside of Him?

Here are a few things that Paul lists.

  • You will know what the hope of God’s calling for you is.
  • You will know what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance for you.
  • You will know what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward you.

God has not given you a bunch of things!

1Co 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption

Col 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, slave or freeman, but Christ is all things in all.

He has given you His Son who has been made into all things and is all things!

The more is the revelation of Jesus the more is the revelation of things which Jesus has been made for you.

What makes Jesus different to all other religions is that it’s not about getting lots of things from God.

Once that you receive Jesus you get it all.

He is God’s whole package deal in one man.

Jesus is revealed by the work of His cross.

When the cross is applied to our life it kills a part of our old self and automatically reveals Jesus.

Every act of our obedience to God applies the cross.

Its automatic.

Less of us and more of Jesus.

This is the good news that God has given the world!

Who does not like good news and what better news can there be than this?

What happens when the cross is not talked about or taught?

Well, we no longer have the instrument that will reveal Christ and all things which He has been made into for you.

Isn’t this troubling that we don’t teach the cross anymore?

We’ve tricked ourselves into not having Jesus and all the things we need, revealed.

We’ve stopped our boat too short to simply talk about Jesus accepting us but not revealed in us.

The bottom line is that when you receive Jesus into your heart you receive the whole package deal at one time.

Just ask Him to come inside your life!

This is my Face Book status for today.

“In reality God is not so much into blessing us. He blesses what is done in His Son. God knows that without Jesus we are sinners. There is no freedom or wholeness in us. All these things are In Jesus. The honor is not upon us, it’s upon Jesus. Our freedom and healing are not separate blessings that God gives to us. The healing is in Jesus. The deliverance is in Jesus. When I ask God to heal or deliver me, He will reveal more of Jesus to me.”

I Believe In Climate Change

Re 6:12 And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, that there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became like blood.
Romans 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Re 8:12 Then the fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them was darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
Re 9:2 And he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a burning furnace. And the sun was darkened, and the air, from the smoke of the shaft.
Rev 16:3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died.
4 Then the third one poured out his bowl into the rivers and into the springs of water, and it became blood.
Re 16:8 Then the fourth one poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was granted to him to burn men with fire.

I believe in a climate change that will far surpass anything that might be occurring now.
I know that it will happen because the Bible tells me so.
My question is, if there is climate change, what is truly being done?
What are the goals?
Is it to gain a political agenda, or bring nations to their knees through punishing fines, or make some fat cat politician rich?
Or do we recycle plastic to tame a guilty conscience?
Real climate change must result in real spiritual change.
The climate is messed up because humanity is messed up.
Fallen humanity through her dismissal of God has produced fallen climate.
The coming climate change will make what may or may not be happening pale in comparison.
Will it bring us back to God?
This is what real climate change must do.
If not, it’s relatively worthless, and I don’t want any part of it.
