VERBS

In the Greek, verb tenses are most focused on action.

The action can be described as one of the following three.

1) Continuous (or ‘Progressive’) action.

2) Completed (or ‘Accomplished) action, with continuing and even eternal results.

3) Simple occurrence, without the notion of progress.

(This is sometimes referred to as ‘punctiliar’ action or a photograph on history’s timeline.

Punctiliar:                         Action that relates to a specific point in time. The photographic tense

Linear:                                Action that is in the progress of occurring

Perfected:                         Action that is both punctiliar and linear in nature. It can refer to action relating to a point in time, yet has results are in the progress of occurring, and can be eternal.

VERB TENSES

Present Tense

The present tense denotes a continuous kind of action. It displays action in progress and or in state of perseverance.

Imperfect

The imperfect tense demonstrates constant or linear action just like the present tense, but in the past. It always indicates an action constantly or repeatedly occurring in past time. It portrays the action as going on for some extended period of time in the past.

Aorist

The aorist is said to be a “simple incident, event or happening” without regard for the amount of time taken to accomplish the action. This tense is also referred to as the ‘punctiliar’ tense. I call it a photographic snapshot on history’s time line.

In the indicative mood the aorist tense represents action that occurred in the past time, often translated like the English simple past tense.

Future

Just like the English future tense, the Greek future tells about an anticipated action or a certain happening that will occur at some time in the future.

Perfect

The perfect tense is a combination of the aorist and present tense. It denotes a simple action occurring in the past, but with continuing results in the present, future and maybe for eternity.

Participles

A participle is regarded as a “verbal adjective”. It is frequently a word that ends with an “-ing” in English (such as “speaking,” “having,” or “seeing”).

It can be used as an adjective, in that it can modify a noun (or substitute as a noun), or it can be used as an adverb to further explain or define the action of a verb.

Infinitives

The Greek infinitive is the form of the verb that is usually translated into English with the word “to” attached to it, often used to complement another verb.

It can be used to function as a noun and is therefore referred to as a “verbal noun”.

VERBAL VOICES

Grammatical voices in the Greek indicate whether the subject is the performer of the action of the verb (active voice), or the subject is the recipient or receiver of the action (passive voice).

Active Voice

If the subject of or in the sentence is performing the action, then the verb is referred to as being in the active voice.

Passive Voice

If the subject of the sentence is being acted upon, then the verb is referred to as being in the passive voice.

Middle Voice

The Greek middle voice shows the subject acting in his own interest or on his own behalf, or participating in the results of the verbal action. The subject in the middle voice performs the action, so it’s reflexive in the sense that he performs the action to benefit himself, or back upon himself

VERBAL MOODS

The feature of the grammatical “mood” of a verb has to do with the statement’s relationship to reality.

The mood deals with the fact of whether the declared statement is actual or if there is only the possibility of its actual happening.

The indicative mood is the only mood conceived of as actual while with the other three moods (imperative, subjunctive, and optative) the action is only thought of as possible or potential.

We will not deal with the optative mood in this seminar, for its occurrences are relatively rare in the NT Greek.

Indicative Mood

The indicative mood is a statement of fact or an actual occurrence from the writer’s or speaker’s perspective.

Even if the writer is lying, he may state the action as if it is a fact, and thus the verb would be in the indicative mood.

it may be action occurring in past, present, or future time.

When used in the indicative mood, the present tense denotes action taking place or going on in the present time.

Imperative Mood

The imperative mood is a command or instruction given to the hearer, commanding the hearer to carry out or perform a certain action.

Subjunctive Mood

The subjunctive mood indicates probability or objective possibility. The action of the verb will possibly happen, depending on certain objective factors or circumstances, or on a person’s free will.

It is oftentimes used in conditional statements (i.e. ‘If…then…’ clauses) or in purpose clauses.

However if the subjunctive mood is used in a purpose or result clause, then the action should not be thought of as a possible result, but should be viewed as a definite outcome that will happen as a result of another stated action.

Every verb therefore has the three components of tense, voice and mood, affectionately termed, (T.V.M)

NOUNS

NOUN CASES

The term “case” refers to what is called substantives. These are nouns and pronouns and adjectives (including participles).

The cases categorize their association to other elements in the sentence.

Noun cases are formed by putting the ‘stem’ of the noun with an ‘ending’.

The case form is shown by the ending of the word.

There are five different case forms in Greek.

The five cases are Nominative, Genitive, Dative, Accusative and Vocative.

Nominative Case

A noun or pronoun that is the relationship of the subject of the sentence is always in the nominative case.

Genitive Case

The genitive is most often viewed as the case of possession.

In more technical terms one noun in the genitive case helps to qualify another noun by showing its “class” or “kind”.

The genitive case has more uses than most other cases, but in general a noun in the genitive case helps to limit the scope of another noun by indicating its “kind” or “class”.

Dative Case

The dative is the case of the indirect object, or may also indicate the means by which something is done, or the sphere or location of its origin.

It is used most often in one of three general classes: Indirect object, Instrument (means), or Location (in the sphere of.)

Most commonly it is used as the indirect object of a sentence.

It may also indicate the means by which something is done or accomplished; instrumental

Used as a dative of location, it can show the “place”, “time”, or “sphere” in which something may happen.

Accusative Case

This case is aptly described by its name.

It is the case the points the finger towards something, like one who has been accused. It defines the final objective, consummation or the goal of something.

The accusative case is the case of the direct object, receiving the action of the verb.

Like the other cases, the accusative has a wide variety of uses, but its main function is as the direct object of a transitive verb.

The direct object will most often be in the accusative case.

Vocative Case

The vocative is the case of direct address. It is used when one person is speaking to another, calling out or saying their name, or generally addressing them.

Access All Areas

There is excellent jazz group by the name of Spyro Gyra.

Their live album is called “Access All Areas”.

The word access is a fascinating one.

Everybody wants access to something.

Google dictionary defines it as the right to approach, enter a place, and have the opportunity to use or benefit from something.

Eph 3: 12  in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.

God is a God of mega access, who wants people to access the things of His kingdom.

The trick is that God’s riches are unsearchable because they cannot be accessed through the physical senses.

God has hidden them since Adam and Eve disobeyed and gave us re access when Christ came.

When the age of sin was introduced, man lost access to the things of God in the Garden of Eden. This garden was a physical representation of a portion of heaven.

Love shares all good things with the one whom is loved.  Love that cannot be shared is not love.

Every object in the Garden of Eden was flawless in its function, incorruptible in its nature, and eternal in its duration.

It’s funny that the Garden where Adam and Eve were at was called Eden. The word hedonism comes from Eden and is the doctrine that pleasure and happiness is the highest good. Eden means pleasure.

God kicked out Adam and Eve because of sin, and the rest is history.

Eden represents God’s eternal mindset for created man.

Gen 2:16   Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die.”

God cannot give sinful human beings physical access to this heavenly place lest they access it in their sinful condition, corrupt its flawlessness by sin, and eat from the tree of life and become eternal sinners. What a dangerous position.

Thus God kicked Adam and Eve out from the Garden.

He also made it inaccessible by making it invisible so that corrupt men could not tamper with it for their own sinful purposes.

Can you imagine politicians having access into God’s invisible things?

When Christ came He gave man re access to all of these places, but only through Him and only by revelation. When He abolishes sin, access will come back through our physical senses but only in a sinless body.

God wants to give us access into all areas.

Jesus who has become all things, has become the access into all areas.

Not by might, not by power, but by His revelation.

Tofu

What is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? It’s kind of like tofu. I will explain.

When John the Baptist baptized the Lord Jesus River for the repentance of sins, the Lord was submerged underneath the water. This act of submergence and His emerging out of the water had much more significance than the simple physical act of plunging into the waters of the Jordan.

Symbolically speaking, when the Lord was immersed in the water He portrayed the burying of humanity’s old life without God.

His coming up out of the water was symbolic of humanity coming forth out into a new life free from sin, to serve the living God.

In my case, days after being baptized into the Atlantic Ocean, I started to experience a freedom from sinful habits that I had not been able to until then. The simple act of submersion and emergence from those cold February waters had an influence or effect back on me.  The immersion and emergence from the waters had in a way set me free.

The baptism of in the Holy Spirit has the very same effect on us, just in a different dimension.

Mark 1:8  I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you (Immerse, and submerge you) with ( Greek grammar case of location. Not “with” but “in”; residing within a location, or a domain, world and its sovereignty) the Holy Ghost.

While John baptized INTO the water for the forgiveness of sins, the Lord Jesus baptizes INTO the Holy Ghost.  Why is the baptism in the Holy Spirit so important?

Mat 26:41  Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing,  (Greek: a “ready mind”)  but the flesh is weak.

The world of the Spirit is as that of a “continual ready mind” or a mind that is in perpetual state of readiness, while the world of the flesh is weak and infirm.

Biblical baptism entails the imbuement or submersion of one object into a second object. The submergence or immersion of the first item into a second item places the first item into the location or inside the world or domain where the second item resides.

Once within the sphere of the second item’s world, this latter one can now exercise its influence back upon the first one, even to the point of changing the first item to resemble it, by permeating it with its qualities and characteristics.

The effect of the second item working its effect and influence back through to the first item as it permeates it and changes it is called the instrumentality of the second object.

Galatians 3:27 tells us that we are located in the sphere of the world of Christ, so that Christ can work instrumentally back through us, by affecting us, to conform us to His image.

Gal 3:27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ(submerged into the domain, sphere, or world of Christ’s influence and sovereignty ) have put on Christ (now wear Christ, whom as clothes which totally cover us, influences and affects back through us to conform us into His image.)

I once read an excellent example of Biblical baptism.  In the days of Christ there was a recipe to create a “pickled” vegetable.  It was said that a vegetable was BAPTISED into THE LOCATION or SPHERE of a vinegar solution.  After a while, the vinegar WORKED INSTRUMENTALLY BACK through the vegetable and “pickled” it.

Tofu, likewise, acquires the taste and texture of any food that it is baptized into.  We can say that with whatever food the tofu is BAPTISED INTO, it is INSTRUMENTALLY influenced back by that food to make the tofu like it.

Every Christian Should Be An Entrepreneur

Why should I sign up for government health insurance? The web site and state exchanges are plagued with massive security breaches, information and data misallocations and personal data sharing without my permission. Give me a good reason.

“Going the extra mile can give you insight and a good reputation, both of which attract opportunity. Many obvious opportunities are found in places no one else has bothered to venture. If you put in the extra effort to make a good project an even better one, or you get to know your equipment better than anyone else on your shift, you will see things others overlook and be in a position to make use of them. Leaders who need a job done think first of people they know who will do it well. If other people respect you for the quantity and the quality of your work, you will find yourself advancing past others who regard their jobs as drudgery. For all the extra service that you’ve rendered, you’ll find yourself more than amply compensated by opportunities others never grasp.” Napoleon Hill Foundation

“Accountability is about release, not restraint. When we set people free, the liberty and support we provide should cause self-discipline. Self-control is the only acceptable form of control in the church.” Graham Cooke

“It is a peculiarity of human relationships that it is virtually impossible for one individual to have a lasting positive influence upon members of a group of negative thinkers. Usually, it works the other way. You cannot maintain a positive, productive attitude if you spend all your time with negative people. Those who have wrecked their own lives (and usually blame their misfortune on others) are not the kind of people who will help you achieve success in your own life. Choose your friends and associates carefully, and refrain from complaints about your job, your company, or any individual. Spend your time with positive, ambitious people who have a plan for their lives. You will find that their optimism is infectious.” Napoleon Hill Foundation

Great leaders are great risk takers. They do it by themselves but we do it by the voice of the Spirit. To live, think and act like Jesus is the singularly most important thing to do on planet earth. Yet, it’s also the hardest. No man has ever come close to the entrepreneurial abilities of Jesus. No man has ever come close to thinking out of the box like He does. Jose Alvarez

You will never experience how much God loves you, until you repent fully from every known sin. Unrepentance in any area, keeps an open door to the demonic placed over you. The attack of the demonic, competes with the love of the Lord, and hinders you from knowing that love.  Jose Alvarez

For me the hardest thing, and what I’ve failed most at, is daily obtaining from the Lord, first in the Spirit, to then see it in the natural. My life has been plagued with double mindedness which has caused many lost opportunities to obtain by faith. This is so important that Paul dedicates Roman Four to it. To obtain something that you did not previously have. The sign of true faith then is the ability to obtain something that you did not have. “When you focus your self-discipline on a single purpose, like sunlight through a magnifying glass on a single object, look out! The whole world will scramble to get out of your way, hold the doors open for you, and salute as you walk by.” Dan Kennedy. Entrpreneur.Com.

It is possible to go through life without ever accepting any responsibility, but such freedom from the cares of the world comes at an enormous financial cost. If you make it a practice to go out the back door when responsibility walks through the front, you will also miss out on the opportunities that always accompany responsibility. In almost any vocation, profession, or calling, your remuneration is directly proportional to the responsibility that accompanies your position. Make it a practice to volunteer for more responsibility or simply to assume it. There are times when you must get on with the task at hand without ever being formally told you’re in charge of it. Armor

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong (constantly strengthened with dunamis power) in the Lord, and in the power ( dominion) of his might ( inward strength).

11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil.

This verse commands us to continuously receive this dunamis power of the Lord so that He can be progressively revealed in our lives as the Christ that dwells in our hearts. This is the fullness of revelation.

The dunamis power of the Lord in verse 10 is defined as the display of the Lord’s outward dominion brought about by His inward strength.  This is what it means by “ the power of his might.”  This is sort of what happens to Pop Eye when he eats the can of spinach.  The tremendous inward strength that is multiplied within him is translated into a manifestation of outward strength which caused him to dominate and conquer all, even Bluto the bad man, who ran after beautiful Olive Oil.

This domination of external circumstances is called “dominion” and is in indeed the same as Lord’s dominion over all His creation.

The Lord’s dominion or manifested expression of the strength that resides within Him is found in His dunamis power. The extent of the Lord’s dominion that is transported by his dunamis power is His ability to subdue all things unto Himself.

Philippians 3:21  Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

The amount of God’s dunamis power working in us is measured as to how much we are allowing the Lord to subdue or bring the dominion of all things unto Himself.

The fullness of revelation of the Son is the fullness of the Lord’s power.  The fullness of revelation is the Christ dwelling, and not struggling, or competing with something else in our hearts.

The more that we live out of the dunamis power of the Lord because we have yielded our life in all meekness to the Lord the more that we shall see the Lord subdue all things underneath our feet.

This is the reality of our putting on the full armor of God.

Targeted Faith

“As” Thou Hast Believed

Matthew 8:13  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Matthew 15:28  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

The word “as” has a powerful connotation in New Testament scriptures.  It is defined by some of the following: As, like, even as, just like, in the same manner, and a carbon copy of.

In Matthew eight and thirteen, Jesus in fact tells the centurion, that in the very specific thing that he has targeted his belief for, that very targeted thing he will receive.

When we ask in Jesus’ Name, our request must be very specifically targeted to what we want. Any specific point that we target our request for, believing, which is void of the two types of doubting taught above, we will receive as a specific carbon copy or reduplication of what we requested. The specific thing that we ask for believing is the specific thing that we receive.

Matthew 9:29  Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.( LET IT BECOME OR BE CREATED FOR YOU)

In Matthew nine and twenty-nine the “according to your faith” is very similar to the word “as”. In other words we will receive from the Lord in proportion to our faith.  Receiving is a matter of degrees. The more is the proportion of our faith, to believe without doubting, the greater will be the proportion of our receiving.  Our faith, or lack thereof, directly limits what we will receive or not receive from the Lord.

We must be careful to target our belief in the scope of what the Name of Jesus promises to us and ask with a faith that is great enough to leave no room for doubt.  We receive only what we specifically target for, and what is targeted for we will be received in equal proportion to the greatness of our faith.

Fruit Bearing

Col 1:5  For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

Col 1:6  Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

These are remarkable scriptures. They tell us much of how we should live as believers, as well as manage our local assemblies.

The gospel, in its written “logos” form, and through the spoken “rhema word” is a fruit-bearing dynamo.  Fruit bearing in the kingdom of God is made up of two dynamic features.  God always begins by working first in our spirits, and outward to our bodies, bringing spirit, soul, and body into the loving subjection of His voice. The word of God has the dynamic ability to first work inwardly in each of us, sanctifying us and filling us with God’s presence.

The infilling of God’s presence through His word then works outwardly to produce our spiritual gifts and ministries and compels us to go into all of the world for Christ’s sake. This is the two fold fruit bearing operation of the Word of God.

Fruit bearing through the word of God must meet two requirements if its two fold dynamic power is to be functional in us.  The end of verse six in Colossians says, “and knew the grace of God in truth:” The word “knew” is the Greek word “epiginosko”.  This word describes knowledge, which probes, and is thorough, accurate, and complete. So much so that this type of knowledge transforms us.

Of course, we won’t attain to a full knowledge of the things of God until we end up in eternity.  But our earthly motivation should be ever to grow more and more into this accurate, thorough, knowledge of God.

Secondly, is the word “truth”. The Greek word “aleithia” or truth, describes what is genuine, accurate, and in accordance with facts.  We must so know the word of God to comprehend fully the facts about God. We must quarry the gold mines of the gospel deeply to know accurately and comprehensively the genuineness of the things of God.  For us to benefit from the dynamic fruit bearing qualities of the gospel we must know it in full knowledge and truth.

God will not free us if what we think to be truth, is not. Our opinions are not worth a hill of beans if they don’t line up with the word of God.

Many teachings today are based on opinions and not the truth of the Bible.

They will do little in your life, and lead into greater error.

John 8:42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from( EK/ Out ) God; neither came I of myself (exclusive and independent self), but he sent me.

Greek: For I, out of the God came forth and am always in a state of arrival.

Greek: The apostle, or the one on an apostolic mission, is birthed from God and lives continuously out of God just as a tree must live out of its roots. Neither was Jesus apostolic mission from independent and selfish self.

The apostle lives out of the image of God as a tree lives out of its root.

Coming out of the God, means that my whole foundation, or who I am as to my nature, is God. This is what the Christian truly is.

Galatians 6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth (ischuo) any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Ischuo: Is inward, inherent or residing strength. Its static energy.  Only the image of Christ has ischuo. Thus only the new man, who is revealed by the cross of Christ, who is Christ in you, is of any strength.

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed (METAMORPHOSIED) by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Do not be configured to or assume the blueprint of this present and temporal eon but be metamorphosed by the development of an out of the box mind that thinks like Christ does.  Then and only then will you be able to test for yourself like you do a gem for acceptance or rejection what is that good, and acceptable and completed will of God.

Jesus never did or spoke anything, which originated from Himself. Everything He did, originated from the Father, and was revealed to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, Jesus never did anything that was exclusively His ideas, agenda or timetable.  Everything, which he planned and carried out, was inclusive of what the Father desired. This is the key to the anointing.

Finally every action, which He took, and every word, which He spoke, was in dependency to the workings of the Holy Spirit within Him.  The Lord Jesus never acted independently from the Father. This is the key to revival anointing.

The apostle has no ministry. His life is a product of God’s will, ways, and timetable. Since his ministry is to proclaim the patterns or blueprints which come out of God’s mysteries, God’s dispensations or His universal managements, and to reveal the Person of Christ to others,  his life must be a total display of these things. Hence the apostle has no real set ministry of His own. He simply does what He sees the father do.

Psalms 103:7  He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

To the one who is totally devoted to the Lord, He reveals His ways. To many others they will simply be able to see the works of the Lord.. Knowing the ways of God are more important than seeing His works.

John 7:17  If any man will do his will ( If any one out of His own will desires to do God’s will) he shall know of the doctrine(teaching), whether it be of God, or whether I speak of ( from the edge of; the idea of separation or departure from) myself.( exclusively and independently from myself as a source and from none other.)

“whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”

Whether out of the God my teaching is or I from myself as the source am prophetically speaking.

Jesus never did or spoke anything, which originated from Himself as the source. Everything He did, originated from the Father, and was revealed to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, Jesus never did anything that was exclusively His ideas, agenda or timetable.  Everything, which he planned and carried out, was inclusive of what the Father desired.

Finally every action, which He took, and every word, which He spoke, was in dependency to the workings of the Holy Spirit within Him.  The Lord Jesus never acted independently from the Father.

This was the key to the Lord’s supernatural faith and miracle working power. The fact that while on the earth, the Lord lived dependent, inclusive, and originated everything with the Father, shows us the depth of Jesus life in the world of the Holy Spirit.

This is what Jesus means when he tells us that He does nothing from Himself.

To the degree that we do not seek ourselves as the ones from whom anything originates, and then carry it out independently and exclusively from God, will automatically live in the teaching of the Father. This is the key to the anointing, to the breakthrough and to revival.

John 8:28  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he ( I am) , and that I do nothing of myself (and that I do nothing independently and exclusively from the Father); but as my Father hath taught me( but as the Father has instrumentally penetrated, affected, and influenced me, like brine solution) I speak these things (these things I utter, express, and speak prophetically back, by that divine influence which has permeated me and pickled me. )

“and that I do nothing of myself”  From myself I am doing not one thing.

This is the concept of baptism. Baptism is to be pickled.  This is the idea of a cucumber placed in a brine solution for up to six weeks. It is is baptized into the brine solution and is eventually pickled. This is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is why it’s essential for us to spend time in God’s presence.

“then shall ye know that I am he” That I Am.

The man or woman who lives in totally dependency to God reveals The I Am. In other words, I Am. My job is to simply reveal the Son of God who is The I Am. I have arrived. Nothing in me has to be changed. It’s all completed. I am free. I am the fullness of God. It’s not about becoming something else, but to reveal The I Am through me.  I Am, or better said, the One in me is the I Am. I have nothing else to do in this life but to reveal the One who lives as continually as The I Am. It’s all done.

John 6:57  As the living Father hath sent me ( Greek: apostolic sending), and I live by (THROUGH) the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

The one chewing or masticating on me, also that one shall be living through me.

There is no cheap grace message here. This verse talks about our ever consuming of the Jesus in us and being consumed by Him.

Greek:  The apostle or the one sent on an apostolic mission lives moment to moment through (INSTRUMENTALITY) the Father, who does the works.

2Cor 4:12  So then death worketh (ENERGIZED) (PRESENT MIDDLE INDICATIVE) in us, but life in you.

The death of Christ is as an “energy dynamo” within us that never ceases but always works.  We are always being handed over to death, so that the very life of Christ can be like wised energized for the sakes of others.  Most of us put limits on how far “God can take us.

This energy dynamo is found in our embrace of the cross of Christ.  Every time that we obey the voice of the Holy Spirit, the cross works to kill our selfish self and reveal the Christ. The purpose of grace is for us to progressively embrace the cross more and more, not as a license to do as we please.

This is why even if the message of hell is not forever would be true, it’s extremely dangerous for it produces believers who are weak and uncommitted in this life.

The Healthyness Of God’s Word

The Word of God

I Tim 1:3  As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Doctrine that deviates from the truth because its essence, quality, and quantity comes from another source, which is not founded on the words that make up the gospel.

We see this today in many ways.

2 Timothy 1:13  Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Hold fast to the model of healthy or wholesome words, which thou hast heard from me.

Sound is a medical term denoting health. Only the pure words of the gospel can promote health, to our spirits, soul and body.

The word form talks about a pattern that is created by striking a blow to generate a sketch or outline.

Some of us can remember building a model car or airplane. Once we had the model built we mounted it up high on a shelf for all to see.  We must likewise have the Word of God as one of the primary models in our lives mounted high before our eyes. This model of the gospel must be built out of something that is called sound words.

“Sound words” is a medical term that means healthy or wholesome. Sound words are healthy because they are true or are in accordance with what is factual about the Word of God.

It is impossible for us to build a model of healthy words that we can frame before our eyes to unless we know the Word of God in truth or in accordance to fact. To know the Word of God in fact implies that we must do some serious study of the Word before we can truly know it in truth.

Titus 2:7  In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

Incorruptness: Our knowledge of the Word of God must be so thorough that our teaching cannot be subject to the decay of time, error, or the opposition that comes from those who challenge our teaching.  When we live in accordance to a model of God’s incorrupt doctrine, our doctrine will finally vindicate us even if the world says that we are wrong.

The Lord will lift us up and put those who oppose us to shame.

Incorruptness must stand the test of eternity in that an incorrupt nature cannot be subject to decay. Our knowledge and obedience to the Word of God will have an everlasting impact on our lives.  Let us look at the following scripture;

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Greek: All scripture; “every scripture.”

We either believe that every scripture in the Bible is breathed by the inspiration of God, or we don’t. If we selectively take parts of the Bible as not from God, we might as well not believe anything in the Bible.  How can we be the judge of what is myth and what is reality? I would say, don’t believe the Bible at all if you will be selective in your beliefs about it.

Inspiration: All scripture is God breathed and is therefore profitable for teaching

Reproof:  Intimate knowledge of the scriptures brings correction to us by exposing sin and blind spots in our life. If we heed to the exposure brought to us through the Word it will brings us freedom in Christ.

Correction: Correction means to be restored to an upright state resulting in salvation.  This comes from the word orthos from where our word orthodontist comes from. Correction means to build up once again in an upright fashion.

Do you notice the order?  Reproof brings exposure of sin.  If we heed we start to become free. As we become free the Word of God then starts to restore us to an upright state.

Instruction:  Mentoring and discipling and the final release into our ministry.  Instruction comes from the word which means to train children. We must become as children with gospel.

Exposure, restoration, mentoring, and call to ministry.

17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Greek: The man or woman of God becomes thoroughly equipped and furnished by the Word of God for every Spirit led work; The man or woman of God is equipped and fitted with every necessary piece of equipment by the Word of God for anything that the Lord might have for him or her require to do. Without the knowledge of the Word that cannot be so.

When we went to battle Sadam Hussein in the Persian Gulf in great part we won because we were thoroughly equipped with the best of arms, technique, and staff.  It is our deep knowledge of God’s Word that furnishes us with the spiritual equipment necessary to successfully carry out God’s holy missions.

1Tim2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto(INTO) the knowledge (EPIGNOSIN or FULL KNOWLEDGE) of the truth.

Philemon 1:6  That the communication (fellowship) of thy faith may become effectual (ENERGES or ENERGIZED) by the acknowledging (FULL KNOWLEDGE) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus tells us is the truth shall free us in the exact proportion to the correct understanding and performance that we have of it. Our misunderstanding of scriptures through error, cultural or political correct adaptation of them, a lack of meditation or study, will not free us. It is the revelation knowledge by the Spirit of God and our application of it that frees us. It’s not the truth that sets us free but the accurate knowledge of the truth.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Greek: In the beginning was the logos, and the logos was in fellowship and communion with God, and God was the logos.

With God: Not that Jesus was with God as one who was next or along Him, but as one that is with God because He lives in continual fellowship and communion with Him.

The word was God. More correctly, “God was the logos”.  Jesus, as God the Son, is first found in an eternal and continual communion with God the Father, so He can then come to mankind as the logos word, which translated and interpreted to us the conceptuality of the Father.

John 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.

This one was from all eternity is in constant communion and fellowship with God. (John repeats the theme of verse one to emphasize the complete sufficiency of Jesus to assume the role of “God, the logos word” to humanity.

The word of God is comprised of the logos and the rhema word.  Both are essential in furnishing us with the fullness of God’s knowledge and will, both as individual believers and corporately in our churches.  The logos word defines God in general concepts and ideas to give us the “big picture” of who God is.

The rhema word is a moment-to-moment portion of the logos word uttered by the voice of God’s Spirit and “tailor made” to equip us with God’s commands, guidance, and the fulfillment of our needs in accordance to our specific circumstances.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the LOGOS (word), and the LOGOS(word) was with God, and the LOGOS(word) was God.

Matthew 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every RHEMA that proceedeth( from moment to moment) out of the mouth of God.

 The Believer as God’s Land

Luke 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luke 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

In the OT God desired to have a land, in this case Canaan from which His kingdom could operate. Joshua’s commission was to drive out the wickes inhabitants of the land so that the land of Canaan could be cleared and the uncontested rule of God could take place.

1 John 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

The whole world system is lies or is set in the wicked one.

Today, God does not have a land from where His kingdom’s works can be launched.  The believer is His land.  In proportion to how free the believer is, defines the success of God’s kingdom.

The Great Purpose of the Church

The church is the most important human institution in the universe. It is the institution which God has created to make Him visible.  This is the why God implemented it in the first place. He has none else.

The church’s most important job is to bring forth the glory of the Lord into all the earth, and throughout all eternity.

Ephesians 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Glory is defined as the end product of the invisible God becoming visible. The Lord accomplishes this through His Word, His attributes, and righteous deeds.

Isaiah 40:5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

The glory of God is of supreme importance.  Through it, men are ushered into eternal salvation, physical healings take place, people are set free from demonic oppression, spiritual gifts are displayed, and revival of cities and nations that ultimately change civilization are started and carried out.

Mark 6:56  ..and as many as touched him were made whole.

Civilization’s most essential need, and its most desperate need, is to be capable of beholding an invisible God, who desires to make Himself plainly evident, through Jesus Christ in His glory.

The key to all humanity’s needs, past, present, and future, lie locked in the Person of Christ.  To the proportion that the invisible Christ becomes visible to mankind by His glory, is to the exact proportion that all of mankind’s needs will be met and answered forever.

The church of Jesus Christ is GOD’S ONLY UNIVERSAL HUMAN INSTRUMENT, which can make Him visible.  Aside from His glory as seen in creation, God has made for Himself no other avenue that will allow Him to become visible in a real, personal and intimate way to people.

The Principle of the Last Day

The Principle of the Last Day

The principle of the last day is that Christ works at the moment that we become supremely desperate and give up on our own resources.

Working out hopelessness and strengthlessness is part of the walk of faith.

It causes us to always die to self.

It forms and reveals the Person of Christ in us and causes us to trust solely on Him, and what He can do.

As we become desperate in our powerlessness we cry out to Him and see His salvation, and Christ obtains the glory.

John 6:39  And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40  And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:54  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

2Cor 1:9  But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

Sentence – is the answer of death

Trust in God who is constantly raising the corpses.

10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Aorist middle indicative.   This indicates a completed action that will definitely occur and is worked on our behalf by Christ Himself.

Christ has rescued us by faith, by drawing to Himself.

 The Principle of Resurrection

Everything must be taken to and through death and the resurrection, so that what is corrupt, natural and earthly can be put to death and the eternal and incorrupt may be raised up. This is why grace requires much effort in cooperating with the Spirit of God. It’s not a license to do as what we please. It’s a license to obey God, even all the more.

Num 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

9  And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

10  And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not. {rebels: Heb. children of rebellion}

Heb 9:4  Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron ’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

The Corn of Wheat and the Alabaster Jar

The need for our brokenness in the soul realm is vital for the Holy Spirit to emerge,  be released and then fruit can be born for the Lord.

Mrk14:3  And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. {spikenard: or, pure nard, or, liquid nard

John 12:23  And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Present active/abiding alone if it chooses to live (loneliness)

Present active/ bearing much fruit if it chooses to die. (Much company)

25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Devote it to destruction and total ruin

To guard and keep watch over what is life

2Cor 4:10  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

To carry about the corpsing of the Lord Jesus

11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

12     So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

Present middle indicative.  Death constantly energizes itself in us, so bringing life to you.

2Cor 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Linear concept.  God’s power grows in proportion to our weakness.

10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

The Shekinah glory of God will tent over and become fixed upon a person in weakness,

Mammon

Mark 4:23  If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

24  And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

25  For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

We must continue to acquire God’s inheritance through obedience to continue to get more and more from the Lord.  The disobedient person will start to lose even what he thinks he has.

Mat 6:24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

No man has the dunamis power which is power in capacity or ability to be a slave to two lords.

To be a slave and do service to.

No one has the power to serve two lords.  It is a black and white situation. One will he love unconditionally the other one he will hate.  He will cleave to one, and hold firmly to one.

The other, he will think down upon and thinks little of.  That is the danger of loving money.

It will suck out the love for the Lord

Mat 13:44  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

All things, as many as he has, he sells and buys that field.

45  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Sold/ perfect active. This is a completed and comprehensive action.

Mat 19:23  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

“Hardly enter”: With difficulty

24  And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

25  When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

We must be stripped of everything in our hearts to be able to serve the Lord.

26  But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

27  Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

We have left all things behind.

28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Mr 10:21  Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

  Faith

Jesus Must Find Faith on Earth

Lu 18:8  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Will he find faith rightly belonging to the earth?  Jesus is always looking for present faith.

Our Victory Comes Through the Revelation of Jesus

Rom 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

The Righteousness Belonging to Faith

Ro 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

A righteousness of God is revealed in relationship to the gospel.  Righteousness is the outward manifested inheritance of God to us which was in the invisible spiritual ream in mystery form.

A righteousness is disclosed through the way of faith that arouses more faith.

The one who is just on the principle of faith alone shall live.  The revelation of God’s inheritance of God on the principle of faith shall live, out of God’s inheritance.

The righteous man will always live in relationship to his faith.  There is no other way.

Rom 3:20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Ro 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

A righteousness and of God through faith of (in ) Jesus Christ is revealed into all the ones believing.  It is a righteousness, meant to all the one believing

Grace is God’s doing. The more faith, the more righteousness.

Faith is the root system from which God’s actions emanate.

God’s revelation of His inheritance through our faith must lead us into greater levels of faith.

The goal is always more faith. This is why the Christian life is one of constant activity.

The righteousness of God is uncovered out of faith.

Ro 3:27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

The law or principle belonging to faith. Faith is a law. A law tells us that under specific circumstances, specific results will always take place. Hence the law of gravity.

Ro 3:31  Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

We establish the law through the faith.  We make the law constituting of the righteousness of God, the revelation of His inheritance, to stand firm from minute to minute through faith. The righteousness of faith is a law.

We must make this righteousness stand from moment to moment by this law.

Faith works on itself from moment to moment to bring this righteousness. This is why faith is a law. Works, or our trying to please God apart from the voice of the Holy Spirit, will destroy the law because it is impossible to keep.

Ro 4:5  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Righteousness is the manifestation of all which God wants to give to us.  To the one not having a relationship of works but to the ones constantly believing from moment to moment activates the righteous actions of God upon his life. His faith working upon itself brings forth the manifestation of God’s inheritance. Many time believing require continual activity in the Holy Spirit. Believing many times is not a passive complacent life style.

The good news has a component of faith to it.

Faith is regarded as the normal attitude of the heart. It is not a sudden emotion or an isolated act.  It is developed and becomes a life style

Ro 4:9  Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Makarismon- the blessedness or the happiness of the man that walks by faith.

Ro 4:16  Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

17  (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead( corpses), and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Even God who is constantly quickening or calling; the nature of God is to be constantly giving life to those that have constant faith.  The life comes to the corpses.  He is constantly calling forth the things not being.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

Who beyond hope upon the foundation of hope believed.  Whose hope being gone hoped on in faith; according to the thing being said.  The rhema must come first so that we may act on faith.

Ro 4:19  And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

In view of the promise of God he did not vacillate in the sphere of unbelief upon two mutual expectations.

He was fully persuaded with finality that what God had promised to do that He would accomplish.

He did not decide against the promise of God by unbelief.

Ro 4:20  He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Faith is a Spirit

2 Cor 4:13  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

We having. Continuously possessing the same spirit of faith.  It is a spirit, which is in possession of faith. We believe and can speak with effect and confidence.  As we believe, we shall also go forth speaking.  This is prophecy and the use of the gifts of the spirit.

This spirit of faith speaks on this wise- We believe something into righteousness or causes God to act and speak it out into salvation or God’s deliverance and final culminating result

2Co 5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

We conduct our lives not through what appears to our naked eye but by a moment-to-moment relationship with faith. We order or conduct our life through faith and not through what appears. The faith of God is found in His voice.

Faith Must Start With The Rhema Word of God, or the voice of His Spirit

Romans 10:5 Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Near you is the rhema word. It is in the mouth of you and in the heart of you. The rhema word of faith is what we constantly preach and believe. Again, the rhema word is the voice of the Spirit.  The righteousness belonging to faith comes out of the original rhema and must have mustard seed qualities.

The rhema word of God is always near to us in relationship to our mouth and heart.

8  But what saith it? The rhema is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the rhema of faith, which we preach;

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Faith is exercised in the heart by the revelation of the rhema word of God.  Wherever there come the rhema word also comes the faith.   God operates by faith, and His words must have His faith, so that all that He says comes to pass.

So therefore God’s Faith is in possession of something called His rhema word

A hearing that owns faith and a rhema that owns hearing.

10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the rhema word of God.

We must develop a type of hearing that comes out of faith and functions solely by the rhema word

Faith then emanates out as a report of our hearing and hearing comes through and by hearing the rhema word of God.

God’s type of hearing must always come out of the rhema word as its source.

Joh 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The rhemas  that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

The works of the Holy Spirit are described by and are bounded and limited to the rhema word. No more and no less. The closer we function to the rhema word, the greater will be the anointing.

Joh 17:8  For I have given unto them the rhemas  which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

The rhema word will always reveal the person of Jesus.

Ga 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith  of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I now live my life in the sphere of faith belonging to Christ Jesus.  Even the faith of Christ that constantly comes out of Him through His rhema word and is being lived out constantly in me.

But I am living no longer as I. But in me now lives Christ, and that which I now live in the flesh, in faith I live and that of the faith of the Son of God.

This is why we must live out of the rhema word. The rhema embodies Christ’s faith.

Unbelief carries a power of its own.

Mt 13:58  And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Heb 3:7  Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

8  Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness

12  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

The Rhema Word Must Carry Miraculous Faith

Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

Mt 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Nothing will be without power.  Faith renders every rhema of God with its inherent dunamis or ability or capacity.

The grain of mustard seed is the rhema word of God.  Faith in every rhema word must be mustard seed or miraculous type of faith; where everything small becomes big.  The impossible must become possible.

Mustard seed faith (THE RHEMA WORD) though it is a minimum amount of faith, must be a grain of miraculous faith.  Faith is an up rooter of mountains.

Faith is the acceptance of the rhema word. Or the acceptance of the rhema word as a grain of mustard seed or miracle working faith.

1Co 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing

All faith to keep on removing mountain after mountain continually.

 Mark 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. {Have…: or, Have the faith of God}

Constant present command from Jesus to live in a state of constantly having faith in God or leaning upon the faith of God.

23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Present middle tense.  This shows continual action upon itself.  Belief begets belief. Believing that I am getting it now, and at this moment by the inherent action of the believing itself. It is self-acting faith.

Thus what I say now, has immediate present reflexive action upon itself to make things immediately take place.

Shall not doubt in his heart.

Not having two judgments

Joh 15:7  If ye abide in me, and my rhemas abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Believe / receive; A command to believe immediately, that I begin to receive immediately in the here and now.

The Need for a Pure Conscience.

We don’t hear much today about conducting our lives in a pure conscience.  Many leaders violate or betray their conscience for monetary or political gain and that always to their own hurt.

1Tim 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1Tim 1:18  This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

1Tim 3:9  Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

2Tim 1:3  I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
