“The Ten Steps of How to Live in The Holy Spirit”

  • What Does it Mean to Live in the Holy Spirit?
  • How Do I Become a Spiritual Person?
  • Why Is the Revelation of Christ the Most Important Thing?
  • How Do I Reveal Christ?
  • How Do I Get Baptized By The Holy Spirit?
  • How Do I Credit God’s Inheritance To Myself?
  • How Does God Speak to Me?
  • What is the Rhema Word?
  • What Is the Logos Word?
  • How Do I Renew My Mind and Achieve Transformation?

The Google Hangouts are part of the Google + social network which you join free, just as Facebook.

Google hangout allows for free video and audio calls up to ten people at once.

It’s like Skypeing  to up to ten people at one time.

Everyone sees and hears each other, which makes it great for a class setting.

You must have a camera and microphone on your computer

In many ways it’s similar to Facebook.

First you create a free Google account.

Once that you have an account you can create a simple page on Google + just like you did for Facebook.

Add me as your friend.

Search for me via my email:

How To Achieve Excellent Health, God’s Way?

I Tim 1:3  As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Let’s translate verbatim the verse above:

“That they would teach no doctrine that deviates from the Bible truth because its essence, quality, and quantity come from another source, which is not founded on the words that make up the gospel.”

We sadly see these other doctrines today from many who are supposed to be teaching us the Bible.

2 Timothy 1:13  Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Look at this verse.

“Hold firmly to the model of healthy, sound, or wholesome words, which you have heard  from me.”

‘Sound”, is a medical term denoting excellent health.

Only the pure words of the gospel can promote health, to our spirits, soul and then body.

They are healthy words because they are true or are in accordance with what is factual about the God, who is the author of heath.

Let’s look at instances where this word for sound or healthy is used.

Lu 5:31  Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need of a physician, but those who are ill.

Lu 15:27  And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him back in good health, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

3Jo 1:2  Beloved, concerning all things I pray you to prosper and to be healthy, just as your soul prospers.

Now let’s find these as it pertains to God’s word.

1Ti 6:3  If anyone teaches differently and does not consent to sound words, even those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,

2Ti 4:3  For there will be a time when they will not put up with sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up for themselves teachers, tickling their ears,

Tit 1:9  holding fast to the faithful word as he was taught, that he may be able to exhort by sound doctrine, and to convince those who oppose it.

So what does it tell you about the importance of studying the Bible and not just reading it?

Only its study will allow you know the scriptures accurately and promote healthiness to your spirit, soul and bodies,

It’s a matter of health versus sickness, or life versus death.

The Healthyness Of God’s Word

The Word of God

I Tim 1:3  As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Doctrine that deviates from the truth because its essence, quality, and quantity comes from another source, which is not founded on the words that make up the gospel.

We see this today in many ways.

2 Timothy 1:13  Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Hold fast to the model of healthy or wholesome words, which thou hast heard from me.

Sound is a medical term denoting health. Only the pure words of the gospel can promote health, to our spirits, soul and body.

The word form talks about a pattern that is created by striking a blow to generate a sketch or outline.

Some of us can remember building a model car or airplane. Once we had the model built we mounted it up high on a shelf for all to see.  We must likewise have the Word of God as one of the primary models in our lives mounted high before our eyes. This model of the gospel must be built out of something that is called sound words.

“Sound words” is a medical term that means healthy or wholesome. Sound words are healthy because they are true or are in accordance with what is factual about the Word of God.

It is impossible for us to build a model of healthy words that we can frame before our eyes to unless we know the Word of God in truth or in accordance to fact. To know the Word of God in fact implies that we must do some serious study of the Word before we can truly know it in truth.

Titus 2:7  In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

Incorruptness: Our knowledge of the Word of God must be so thorough that our teaching cannot be subject to the decay of time, error, or the opposition that comes from those who challenge our teaching.  When we live in accordance to a model of God’s incorrupt doctrine, our doctrine will finally vindicate us even if the world says that we are wrong.

The Lord will lift us up and put those who oppose us to shame.

Incorruptness must stand the test of eternity in that an incorrupt nature cannot be subject to decay. Our knowledge and obedience to the Word of God will have an everlasting impact on our lives.  Let us look at the following scripture;

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Greek: All scripture; “every scripture.”

We either believe that every scripture in the Bible is breathed by the inspiration of God, or we don’t. If we selectively take parts of the Bible as not from God, we might as well not believe anything in the Bible.  How can we be the judge of what is myth and what is reality? I would say, don’t believe the Bible at all if you will be selective in your beliefs about it.

Inspiration: All scripture is God breathed and is therefore profitable for teaching

Reproof:  Intimate knowledge of the scriptures brings correction to us by exposing sin and blind spots in our life. If we heed to the exposure brought to us through the Word it will brings us freedom in Christ.

Correction: Correction means to be restored to an upright state resulting in salvation.  This comes from the word orthos from where our word orthodontist comes from. Correction means to build up once again in an upright fashion.

Do you notice the order?  Reproof brings exposure of sin.  If we heed we start to become free. As we become free the Word of God then starts to restore us to an upright state.

Instruction:  Mentoring and discipling and the final release into our ministry.  Instruction comes from the word which means to train children. We must become as children with gospel.

Exposure, restoration, mentoring, and call to ministry.

17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Greek: The man or woman of God becomes thoroughly equipped and furnished by the Word of God for every Spirit led work; The man or woman of God is equipped and fitted with every necessary piece of equipment by the Word of God for anything that the Lord might have for him or her require to do. Without the knowledge of the Word that cannot be so.

When we went to battle Sadam Hussein in the Persian Gulf in great part we won because we were thoroughly equipped with the best of arms, technique, and staff.  It is our deep knowledge of God’s Word that furnishes us with the spiritual equipment necessary to successfully carry out God’s holy missions.

1Tim2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto(INTO) the knowledge (EPIGNOSIN or FULL KNOWLEDGE) of the truth.

Philemon 1:6  That the communication (fellowship) of thy faith may become effectual (ENERGES or ENERGIZED) by the acknowledging (FULL KNOWLEDGE) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus tells us is the truth shall free us in the exact proportion to the correct understanding and performance that we have of it. Our misunderstanding of scriptures through error, cultural or political correct adaptation of them, a lack of meditation or study, will not free us. It is the revelation knowledge by the Spirit of God and our application of it that frees us. It’s not the truth that sets us free but the accurate knowledge of the truth.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Greek: In the beginning was the logos, and the logos was in fellowship and communion with God, and God was the logos.

With God: Not that Jesus was with God as one who was next or along Him, but as one that is with God because He lives in continual fellowship and communion with Him.

The word was God. More correctly, “God was the logos”.  Jesus, as God the Son, is first found in an eternal and continual communion with God the Father, so He can then come to mankind as the logos word, which translated and interpreted to us the conceptuality of the Father.

John 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.

This one was from all eternity is in constant communion and fellowship with God. (John repeats the theme of verse one to emphasize the complete sufficiency of Jesus to assume the role of “God, the logos word” to humanity.

The word of God is comprised of the logos and the rhema word.  Both are essential in furnishing us with the fullness of God’s knowledge and will, both as individual believers and corporately in our churches.  The logos word defines God in general concepts and ideas to give us the “big picture” of who God is.

The rhema word is a moment-to-moment portion of the logos word uttered by the voice of God’s Spirit and “tailor made” to equip us with God’s commands, guidance, and the fulfillment of our needs in accordance to our specific circumstances.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the LOGOS (word), and the LOGOS(word) was with God, and the LOGOS(word) was God.

Matthew 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every RHEMA that proceedeth( from moment to moment) out of the mouth of God.

 The Believer as God’s Land

Luke 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luke 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

In the OT God desired to have a land, in this case Canaan from which His kingdom could operate. Joshua’s commission was to drive out the wickes inhabitants of the land so that the land of Canaan could be cleared and the uncontested rule of God could take place.

1 John 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

The whole world system is lies or is set in the wicked one.

Today, God does not have a land from where His kingdom’s works can be launched.  The believer is His land.  In proportion to how free the believer is, defines the success of God’s kingdom.

The Great Purpose of the Church

The church is the most important human institution in the universe. It is the institution which God has created to make Him visible.  This is the why God implemented it in the first place. He has none else.

The church’s most important job is to bring forth the glory of the Lord into all the earth, and throughout all eternity.

Ephesians 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Glory is defined as the end product of the invisible God becoming visible. The Lord accomplishes this through His Word, His attributes, and righteous deeds.

Isaiah 40:5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

The glory of God is of supreme importance.  Through it, men are ushered into eternal salvation, physical healings take place, people are set free from demonic oppression, spiritual gifts are displayed, and revival of cities and nations that ultimately change civilization are started and carried out.

Mark 6:56  ..and as many as touched him were made whole.

Civilization’s most essential need, and its most desperate need, is to be capable of beholding an invisible God, who desires to make Himself plainly evident, through Jesus Christ in His glory.

The key to all humanity’s needs, past, present, and future, lie locked in the Person of Christ.  To the proportion that the invisible Christ becomes visible to mankind by His glory, is to the exact proportion that all of mankind’s needs will be met and answered forever.

The church of Jesus Christ is GOD’S ONLY UNIVERSAL HUMAN INSTRUMENT, which can make Him visible.  Aside from His glory as seen in creation, God has made for Himself no other avenue that will allow Him to become visible in a real, personal and intimate way to people.

The Church Suffers From Dead Works

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

A dead work is any work that we perform which has not been called for and initiated by the Holy Spirit.

Mt 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

A good work is a “Spirit led” work.

This is why it’s essential that the believer learn to hear and function solely by the voice of the Spirit of God.

Deception, which comes from the word planet, to wonder, runs rampant.

The United States has great deal of wandering or planetizing happening because of the strongholds of distraction which occur mainly through the lure of technology and entertainment.

2Co 3:7  But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of  Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

This was the glory to be done away or  to render useless, and inoperative, just as an old car’s engine that finally breaks down.

There is a glory which is energized and displayed by dead works, or works which are done by good ideas and human agendas, but not the voice of the Spirit.

Any activity, which is performed outside of the voice of God, will manifest the blessings and the glory of God, but only temporarily.

The ministry of death must be done away. Many of these works are accomplished out of human logic and intellect, fleshly compassion, earthly or soulish what appears to be right, noble, and charitable, instead upon strict reliance to the voice of God.

In the body of Christ we see this with social rights or social justice programs which are not led by the Word of God but by fleshly compassion.

To walk in the Spirit entails complete adherence and reliance upon the still, small voice, no matter if the affair appears logical or not

8How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

Much more abounds the office of the ministry of the Spirit in glory.

10For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

All dead works, programs, human agendas no matter how noble that have been glorified by the church, indeed are not glorified because much greater is the glory when it’s done through the ministry of the Spirit.

11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

(Dead works) are performed through God’s glory because they still keep a measure of God’s blessings upon it.

The things of the Spirit abide however permanently in the world of God’s glory.

Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Various definitions of abounded:

God has given us in great abundance.  He has excelled towards us; He has been affluent, rich, or dealt in excellence towards us. He has made to abound to, or He has conferred to us this thing superabundantly.

This is God’s default mode of dealing with His saints.

The abundance of blessings comes within the restrictions of wisdom.

Wisdom is performing all things in accordance to the will, dispositions, arrangements, and timing of God.

Prudence, is the step-by-step guidance of God’s will and wisdom by the voice of the Spirit, and His time schedule to carry His will out.

The superabundance that comes into our life is limited in proportion to doing all things in conformity to God’s will, and carrying them out step by step in His direction and His timing. This is what it means “toward us in all wisdom and prudence.”

1 John 1: 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen ( discerned) with our eyes, which we have looked (theomai like theater) upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

Hearing is in the perfect tense. This is a past event but the impact is now and forever. This shows us how important it is to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.

That which we have discerned with understanding is in the perfect tense.

That which we have looked upon is as seeing a film in a theater. This shows us our live of continually contemplating what the Spirit of God is doing within us.

 2For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;

We have discerned with understanding in the perfect tense. Now we bear continual judicial witness to the world that will allow others to reach a verdict by the voice of their conscience.

John 3:11  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know (We utter prophetically what we know instinctively in the Spirit in one moments time, and not as needing the acquisition of knowledge in the continuum of time), and testify ( but can only bear testimony as with a prophetic vision or dream) that we have seen (only when we see with discernment and understanding); and ye receive not our witness.

John 8:38  I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

I speak prophetically what I have discerned in fellowship with the Father.

The Holy Spirit and the Conscience

2 Cor 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not Because by the mercy of God, we were called into this ministry, we do not become discouraged. (We know that if God divinely summoned us, He will take care of us, and see us through; therefore we do not lose heart.)

2  But have renounced (we gave up once, and now forbid) the hidden things of dishonesty (anything that brings shame or disgrace to the gospel, or to us), not walking in craftiness(not conducting ourselves in the doctrines of men), nor handling the word of God deceitfully(by trickery, adulterating or corrupting God’s word for base gain) ; but by manifestation of the truth (but by manifesting the gospel in its accuracy and genuineness through the Word of God and by our lives) commending ourselves to every man’s conscience( we present ourselves to every type of men’s conscience) in the sight of God. (Before the constant gaze of God)

We must remember that the conscience of man is a component of the voice of the Holy Spirit. Paul tell us that the soundness of the apostle’s doctrine and the genuineness of his or her life in accordance to the gospel must be so great, that it must hold up to the scrutiny of the voice of God bearing witness or passing judgment to what the apostle ministers in other peoples consciences as they watch Paul’s life So it is with us.

I Tim 1:5  Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Watchman Nee tells us that the conscience is a component of or a barometer of the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Let us look at what the apostle Paul has to tell us about the conscience.

Romans 2:15  Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;

Greek: Their consciences also bear witness with their hearts, and between one another (in their conscience) their collective thoughts constantly accusing or defending. (Seems like the operation of the voice of the Holy Spirit!)

Romans 9:1  I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

My conscience bears witness to me in the realm or world that belongs to the Holy Spirit. (My conscience operates within the world that belongs to the Holy Spirit.)

2 Corinthians 1:12  For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

We use the testimony (of accusing or defending) that our conscience gives, to conduct ourselves in this world.

 2 Tim 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve(our religious service to the Lord) from my forefathers with pure (free from evil, innocent because it is free from evil, and resulting in nothing that the devil or man can point an accusatory finger at) conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

The conscience is a simple barometer of what dwells in our lives.  A pure conscience reflects a life that has nothing for the devil to hold on to and keep us in bondage, or for unchurched to lawfully charge us with wrongdoing.

Serve:  There are different aspects that describe the Christian as a servant of the Lord.  One is the servant in the capacity of his or her relationship to God.  Yes, our relationship with God is always one of sons or daughters.

Our sonship however must be executed in the capacity of “love slaves” of the Lord Jesus Christ or what is called a “doulos.”

The second aspect is the servant in the capacity of his or her ministry by the use of spiritual gifts.  This is the “diakonos”.

The third type, which is the one mentioned in verse three, is the servant in the capacity of rendering general religious service versus another type of occupation. This is “latreo”

The bottom line is that for believers to serve in their religious occupation, it must be done with a pure conscience.

Ezekiel 44:23  And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

The calling of God entails first an invitation for us to become born again.  This calling however must lead us into our spiritual vocation, which is holy, cut from the world, and highly specialized in a military fashion of sorts.  If as believers we are simply content to become born again, but do not allow the Lord to separate us enough from the profane, we will not enter into the fullness of our spiritual vocation and will have missed our calling

2 Tim 1:13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Greek: Hold fast the outline or pattern of healthy words, in a world that belongs to faith and love.

This man began to walk by the voice of the Holy Spirit
